Hi team,
We have recently purchased Ideation for our Confluence but unable to use it.
I have installed Ideation V 2.0.4 from UPM.
I see all the ideation macros but I am unable to add roles or Add people as the Ideation
managers. I cannot see the Space Tools -> Ideation tab as listed on the documentation.
I cannot do it Via Ideation Summary Configuration either.
Please look in to this and help us asap.

Quick question here: Do you have "space administration permission" within your space. For a
security concern and restrincting modification to the right persons, we restricted ideation
configuration to users with space administration permission.

Hi Priya,
So after some tests we couldn't reproduce the bugs. We installed Confluence 5.6.4 and Ideation
plugin 2.0.4 from UPM and things works perfectly for us.
Our doubts are still oriented on the permissions, it's the only "programmatically" constraint that
may hide the ideation tab in the space tools options. I've joined a screenshot
ideationPermissions.png to show you the exact permission that you must have as user to access
the Ideation configuration panel.
An other request to test on your side. Please write the following URL in your URL bar and send
us a screenshot of the result:
CONFLUENCE_SERVER_BASE_URL/spaces/viewideationconfig.action?key=SPACE_KEY
Please replace:
CONFLUENCE_SERVER_BASE_URL => server's base url
SPACE_KEY => Key of the space you want to configure ideation for (Space key can be found
in space tools > Overview as displayed in screenshot spaceKey.png)

Not sure what's going on.
I can see the ideation config panel when I go to
CONFLUENCE_SERVER_BASE_URL/spaces/viewideationconfig.action?key=SPACE_KEY
But cannot ee anything from the Space Admin panel

The issue has been identified. From your screenshot we see that Documentation theme is active
within your space and a special behavior must be considered for this theme.
Correction is under going and a new release with the patch will land today or tomorrow
morning. Will update this issue to notify you about the new version.

Thanks for the update.
I see the Ideation tab under Space Admin now. But still not 100 %
I do not see the ‘cog’ or ‘ideation’ in the tools menu that allows me to manage the ideas (change
status)
No cog near ideation summary:
It is a bit different .
On the idea page the Manager should be able to change status of the ideas.
Eg: from Proposed > Evaluated
When in an idea I can see the modify ‘pen’ to change the status but nothing happens when I
click on it

Hi Priya
Issue has been identified. Unfortunately, looks like Documentation Theme doesn't support the
new Atlassian User Interface API that we used to display the wizard to change status.
Changes are undergoing to provide the right support for this theme.
Just a note concerning the information you mentioned in your previous response:

Ideation Summary macro had been changed. This macro will no more display ideation
managers because from now you have a whole panel to configure Ideation roles and
associate them to roles.
This macro will only display general information (total number of ideas)

Change idea status from now will be done from the idea. If you have the permission (As
user you are associated to the role that manage the status) you can see the edit tool and
you will have a wizard displayed when click to change it (feature that we are patching
right now)
We will keep you updated when the issue is fixed.

Documentation theme is the default theme for Confluence, really surprised on how the plugin
wasn't catered for this.

Corrections are still ongoing. We are testing fully the plugin's behavior with the documentation
theme.
We are expecting a new release by the end of this week.

In the user guide it says Ideation mananger should be able to update the Summary and change
statuses.
I have added the ideation summary macro but it only displays nimber of ideas(see the attached).
Is this expected?

Hi Priya,
Concerning the "ideation summary macro", from version 2.0 it only displays information about
the number of ideas. Since we have the configuration panel (for statuses and roles) we cleaned
this macro and concentrated all the configuration in this panel.
More details about the configuration and how to enable Ideation manager to change statuses are
in this link
Not sure what section in the documentation you are talking about, if possible to indicate us a
link this way we can give you more details!
