Kindergarten Prayers
The following prayers are prayers to know “by
heart”:
Sign of the Cross
Grace Before Meals
Bless us, O Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive from thy bounty,
through Christ our Lord, Amen.
Prayer to One’s Guardian Angel
Angel of God, my guardian dear, to whom God’s love commits me here, ever this day be
at my side, to light and guard, to rule and guide. Amen
The following prayers will be “experienced” in
kindergarten and “by heart” in first grade:
Our Father
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be
done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil. Amen
Hail Mary
Hail Mary full of grace the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed
is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and
at the hour of our death. Amen
