PRAYER FOR THE MINISTRY OF PRAISE We praise and thank you loving father, for your many blessings and gifts – for the gift of creation, for our faith, our parish, family, friends and in a very special way for those I now call to mind…….. We acknowledge your son, Jesus, who walked this earth to be one with us. He taught us how to pray and showed us how to live. We thank you for sending us your Holy Spirit who continues to gently lead and guide us as we begin each new day. Please hear us as we pray for the many needs of our parish, especially for those intentions recommended to us this month by the Ministry of Praise. Kindly hear these and all the prayers we offer to you this day. AMEN. (Optional: Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory Be to The Father) Intentions for October, 2015: Universal: That human trafficking, the modern form of slavery, may be eradicated. (Pope Francis prayer intentions) Evangelization: That with a missionary spirit the Christian communities of Asia may announce the Gospel to those who are still awaiting it. (Pope Francis I prayer intentions) That in this year dedicated to consecrated life, religious men and women may rediscover the joy of following Christ, and strive to serve the poor with zeal. That our parish will be strengthened in faith, hope and love through a deeper devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary and the holy rosary. For the strength and endurance of Pope Francis I, our bishops and priests, and all who are entrusted with Church leadership. For children with special needs, their parents and families: that they will be given all the love and support they need. For an end to terrorism in this world and for a beginning of lasting peace. For those who have strayed from the church, may the Holy Spirit enlighten and guide them back to the faith. For our military men and women who serve our country, that they may be kept safe and brought home safely.
