AP U.S. Government and Politics Case Briefs : 2015-2016 Each student will be responsible to research Supreme Court cases in the 1st quarter and complete a one-page case brief on the case. The briefs are worth ten points each, should be typed, and should include the following: case name, year, Chief Justice, background to the case, the issue, the decision, and your opinion of the decision (this is the most important part of the brief). If a student has a planned absence, the briefs are due the class before the planned absence. If an absence is not planned, then the briefs are due the day the student returns to school.
