Prepare the Curriculum for an Online Course
Planning:
What is the objective of the unit?
What are the skills or the knowledge you want students to achieve?
What are the sources you want them to use?
What are the activities?
What are the resources?
What is the end project/product they should accomplish to show their expertise?
How will you help them accomplish this goal?
Preparing the Course

Become familiar with the areas and features of Blackboard.
Make a set of learning objectives (goals) and determine competencies.
Make an outline of topics based on objectives and competencies.
Develop essential questions (for discussion on the threaded discussion area).
Determine in class and online components for your course.
Gather reading, resources, and online resources. Place into folders for each
topic.
7. Develop activities for students to participate in to show their competencies.
8. Develop collaboration activities for Learning Team collaboration.
9. Create a syllabus with a timeline for outline topics.
10. Create assignments and assessments.
11. Create a Welcome Announcement.
