On this 7th day of the 7th lunar month in 1997 at 7 minutes and 7 seconds past 7 o'clock, by accomplishing
the [preblessings through offering Holy Wine Ceremonies for the] 3.6 Million Couples Blessing, we have
fulfilled our motto for this year, which was to be proud of and to love the True Parents absolutely by
successfully completing the Blessing of 360 Million Couples. Heavenly Father, how much anguish You have
had to harbor in Your heart!
Heavenly Father, we of the Unification Church know only too well the historical truth that all cultures of East
and West have been lost to You. The homeland that should have been the central nation of all nations
through the unification of North and South Korea, and all of Your children, who should have inherited the
Blessing and become a part of Your tribe of heaven, stood instead in a position with no choice but to be
divided into two. For this reason we have had to walk the path of restoration for a period of forty years,
engaged in the conflict between communism and democracy.
Because this period of forty years represents four thousand years of providential history, the persecution
perpetrated by the sovereign nations of the satanic world against Christianity, Christian states, and believers of
all other religions and faiths during that period manifested during those forty years as opposition and
oppression from the whole world against the True Parents who were endeavoring to fulfill Your will on the
world stage. No one knew of Your sorrow as You watched this history of forty years. You have had to
pioneer this path all alone with no one to help You. However, under Your guidance, we persevered through
the forty years of suffering and hardship, engaged in the battles to prepare Your abode of the Sabbath on the
levels of the individual, couple, family, tribe, nation, world, and the cosmos. This was in order to develop a free
environment based on the ideal of creation wherein You can reside with perfect freedom.
Now at last we have completed this history of forty years, Heavenly Father, enabling us to welcome an
amazing new era in which today we can proclaim the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath centering on the True
Parents.
Today, Your son by the name of Moon celebrates his seventy-seventh year in this world. The era has come in
which we can connect the Sabbath year with the number of a new beginning, rising above the numbers seven
and eight by connecting eight number sevens based on 7 minutes 7 seconds past 7 o'clock of the 7th day of
the 7th lunar month in 1997, and my 77 years of age. Now, therefore, Unification Church members can form
families inheriting the heavenly authority and traditions of love, and thus attend You and offer You a dwelling
place on the levels of nation, world and cosmos. Through these families, the foundation of the Sabbath in
which You and the True Parents can freely come and go will be connected from the family to the cosmos. The
time is close at hand when we will cross the boundary that separates us from the simultaneous establishment
of Your right of kingship on earth and in heaven, which will allow us to achieve complete oneness with You. In
such a manner this work has been accomplished.
To fulfill this undertaking, the mother representing the nation that can take the place of the Eve nation should
come on earth. Centering on the United States as the archangel nation, as well as the United Nations, the
fortune that will unify North and South Korea needs to be prepared in the United States and then sown in
Korea so that Korea can be the nation that can represent the liberation of all peoples. However, You eased
our concern on this matter, for under Your protection True Mother embarked on a third speaking tour, and
visited sixteen places, thereby surmounting the number sixteen and opening the doors wide for the passage of
the dignitaries of this nation. You have bestowed on us such a blessing which has allowed the holiness of
Blessed Families to be known nationwide.
Moreover, through the women of North and South Korea, True Mother has been welcomed to the
worldwide conferences for women representing the northern and southern hemispheres. On that basis we
can enter into the era of family right of kingship within Your victorious domain, based on the accomplishment
of the number sixteen and the successful world conferences. This era can be proclaimed tomorrow, August
10, to the leading figures of this nation and the leaders representing the sovereignties and nations of the
world. By the grace of your endeavors this blessing could be granted to this nation, and the blessed realm
established, with the Unification Church leading the way through its Blessed Families. We are truly grateful for
Your great work in collaboration with True Mother in preparing such a foundation for us. If this had not come
to pass, there would have been no place for Korea in this world.
Furthermore, no words can express our gratitude to You for allowing us to establish and proclaim upon this
foundation the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth centered on the True
Parents.

Heavenly Father, please take pleasure in welcoming this era in which You can be liberated from imprisonment,
and in this state of liberation embrace Your loving cosmos, through the establishment of the Sabbath
foundation of the eras of the right of kingship in the family, nation, world and cosmos, which has been Your
long-cherished desire.
We are aware of how much You grieved over not being able to help this son of Yours in his work, since all
that You could do was shed tears and watch over his path. We beseech You with all of our hearts to bestow
on us Your blessings, that You may achieve total, overriding, supreme and full authority as You have desired,
and with the whole world under Your dominion we may march forward into Your liberated kingdom.
Now the era has come when the stains created by tears of sorrow shed by the family of the True Parents will
fade away. With the achievement of Your authority of liberation, the family of the True Parents can attain the
privileged and highest position of the ideal of creation looking down over the beloved children, nations, world
and cosmos, with the freedom to travel anywhere in the world.
Therefore, please accept this proclamation which I am now making in the name of the True Parents, as
contributing to the resolution of Your grief and sorrow, and to Your full liberation. At this hour, please accept
with joy the proclamation of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth. Please
proclaim this from heaven in order that the banner of victory of the harmonized realms on earth and heaven

You need to understand that in all the historical ages up to the present time there has never been a Sabbath
day for God. It is dumbfounding. Before now, everything in the entire growth period belonged to Satan: three
times three is nine. There was not one thing that belonged to God, neither His son nor daughter, neither
creation nor the nation. Everything was lost through the Fall of Adam and Eve. God wanted them to become
the ancestors of humanity, representing God's lineage as His ideal object partners. The ideal family is God's
house of the Sabbath. We need to understand more clearly about the nature of His dwelling place. (286-112,
1997.8.9)
God lost His house of the Sabbath. Therefore, the ideal family raised in the fallen world would restore His
house of the Sabbath. Then, centering on what would this house be built? It would be built centering on true
love, true parents, true children and true family. The family is the center. Centering on the family you need to
form a tribe, and on that basis become tribal messiahs for that tribe. The family gives rise to family-level
messiahs, tribal messiahs, national messiahs for the nations and the global messiah. The global messiah is also
the King of kings. From there the Kingdom of Heaven is established. God should be able to reside wherever
He goes, from within the individual to any place in the world and even in the spirit world. That is to say, if He
chose to dwell within a family, the individuals in that family, husband and wife, and sons and daughters would
all be happy to serve Him. (286-114, 1997.8.9)
Where is the dwelling place for the True Parent? Where can he reside? That place is the center of the
universe, and at the same time, the position of the prince who has the right of kingship on the basis of which
God can be enthroned. It is the place that connects the position of the heavenly prince with the position of
the earthly prince based on the qualification of being a true parent. However, this connection is not forged by
money.
If I had a weakness for money, I would have become a rich man in Korea. If I had a preoccupation with
knowledge, I would have become the chancellor of Seoul National University before anyone else. Don't you
think I could have done so, given that there are university presidents whom I have taught and inspired to
become my followers? I've made disciples of people who are regarded as great in this world; yet I freely push
them along. There are former heads of state working with me. In other words, I have enough power not to
crave worldly knowledge, money or authority. What power would that be? It is the power of love, God's love,
true love! (286-98, 1997.8.9)
In Korea everything can be found, even things that cannot be found in the families of other nations in the
world. Korean folk songs are universal, with universal contents which transcend history. "Moon, Oh Moon,
you bright Moon, Moon loved by the poet Lee Tae-baek! Oh Moon, on you grows a laurel tree. I want to
chop it down with a jade ax, and trim the branches with a gold ax to build a thatched cottage, to bring my
parents to come and live with me forever." How splendid this is! To live for thousands and tens of thousands
of years together! Which parents are being referred to here? There is no other nation in the world whose
folk songs praise and pay respect to parents, who are yearned for in such dreams as this. (286-103, 1997.8.9)
Live forever together. Even though the house which is built may only be a small cottage, the song expresses
the desire to live forever together with True Parents! It coincides perfectly with the ideal of the children's
songs of Korea. Then what would they do next? A half-moon! It is all right even if the moon is not a full moon.
Although the family does not begin with perfection, this world is like a half-moon, and we are heading towards
a nation of clouds in the sky, on a satellite like the boat mentioned in the song. Though we have neither mast
nor paddle, we are moving swiftly to both the East and West.
The sun rises in the East and shines westward. Man symbolizes East and woman West, and all women will
receive the light of the sun from the east and be on an equal status with men. Then a world of equality and
agreement between East and West will be realized! Amen! How wonderful that people will be! (286-114,

What is today? It is the Declaration Day of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and
Earth. The Parents of Heaven and Earth. (286-123, 1997.8.9)
Such a world will be established when the ideal realm of the Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth
comes into being! The word "Amen" is made up of two syllables, the first, "A-" signifying that I am grateful
even when I have my mouth open wide for a thousand years, and the second, "-men," signifying that I will live
even after I have passed away, because the place where you say "Amen" is one where you feel good just
thinking about it, dreaming about it, working for it, sweating for it, with nothing bad and everything good in it.

Then we will be stamped with the seal of God, become a royal family, the citizens of His kingdom who can
enter its palace and reside there for thousands of years and in so doing fulfill all the desires and hopes of

Chapter Two - True Parents and the History of the Blessing

2.6. The 3.6 Million Couples represent the completion stage of the international Blessing

If we accomplish the Blessing of 3.6 million couples before August 9, 1997, at the age of 77, I can, on July 7 at 7
minutes and 7 seconds past 7 o'clock in the morning, declare the Blessing of 36 million couples. Anyone can
participate in this Blessing. It is the liberation. Once we have accomplished the Blessing of 36 million couples,
we will enter a new age, in which the spirits from the spirit world will come down to earth and bring
everyone to receive the Blessing. (285-240, 1997.6.5)
Our expansion on a worldwide scale should take place on the foundation of the Blessed Families. Based on the
30,000 Couples, the 360,000 Couples and the 3.6 Million Couples, a global domain of families is emerging. I
therefore declared the “Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth” as we have entered the era in
which God can live above the earth plane—in that God’s family (rather than God individually) and True
Parents’ family are moving on without barriers on the vertical or horizontal. Therefore, on the basis of the
fulfillment of the Blessing at the formation, growth and completion stages, an era has come in which the
Blessed Families of the Unification movement around the world can be welcomed. For this reason, the era in
which God can rest, no matter where He is, has arrived.
That is why I performed this declaration ceremony. Now that heaven has declared the realm of the Sabbath,
what will happen is that based on the international 30,000, 360,000 and 3.6 million couples, we will hold the
Blessing ceremonies of 36 million couples and 360 million couples. Conducting these two ceremonies will be
easy, as they will be like going down the hill from the top. The Blessing of 360 million couples will act as a
divide, and once we pass over this peak, humanity will become one big family.
What was initiated in Adam’s family was lost, and in order to restore that, we attempted to accomplish this
on the national level, followed by the world level. It was done centering on Rev. Moon, and for the first time in
history the whole of humanity will be able to enter the liberated realm based on our victories on the family,

Until I proclaimed that we had met the goal of 3.6 million couples on July 15th, there was a sense of urgency in
my mind. How many candidates were there from Argentina? Wasn't it only a few hundred? They did not even
top 500. So we were in trouble. However, God wrought a miracle. As we entered August, why did I declare
the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth? What date was that? It was August
9th. Such a time will come again: I know that the gates to the spirit world will be opened and spirits will
descend to earth and unimaginable phenomena will take place in the world -- that is why I proclaimed the
‘completion of 3.6 million couples’ on July 15th. (289-11, 1997.12.30)

go. I will make an animal preserve. I will not be killing animals in the wild; instead I will raise them. I will

of God’s son. Fallen men are like thieves, robbing everything for their own blood, bones and skin. To stop this,

When you return home, it is the tradition to greet your parents and practice filial piety before anything else,
a tradition that is emphasized more to women in particular. Why do we tell the story of Shim Chung? It is
because it was woman who did not show filial piety. To indemnify world history, one woman should be
established in the number one position in establishing the tradition of filial piety. This is the very first clause of
indemnity in building the restored Kingdom of Heaven, and so women should take pride in becoming daughters who establish the tradition of filial piety, practice chastity and maintain purity. (286-103, 1997.8.9)

An excerpt from a letter from headquarters:
To: Continental Directors, National Messiahs, National Leaders and Missionaries
From: The FFWPU International President [Rev. Chung Hwan Kwak]
Date: August 16, 1997
Congratulations for the declaration of "The Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and
Earth." True Parents said that on July 7 (lunar calendar) of each year from now on we will commemorate the
"7.8" Holy Day (meaning: eight occurrences of the number seven), and that this will be an important Holy Day
among the eight major Holy Days.
On August 21, 1997, Julian Gray distributed the following unofficial (and slightly edited) notes written by one
participant who attended the August 9th – August 11th Leaders' Conference in 1997:
August 9th solar (July 7th lunar) 1997 was the Day of Declaration of "The Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath
for the Parents of Heaven and Earth".
At the Kuri Training Center outside Seoul, at seven seconds past seven minutes past seven on the
seventh day of the seventh month of 1997, True Father prayed to offer up the victory of meeting the
3.6 million pre-blessing [through offering the Holy Wine Ceremony] goal … creating a new holy day.

Throughout his prayer, True Father was overcome with tears. Afterward, he told Chung Hwan Kwak
that he was crying so deeply that it completely overwhelmed his mind. All the participants (whom True
Father estimated were 7,000 in all, representing the whole world) were moved by the great emotion
True Father showed in his prayer. Clearly this was no ordinary occasion, but one of cosmic moment.
True Father also said later that this was the most important proclamation he had ever made.
The content of his prayer was summarized by a translator later:
Christianity should have embraced True Father in 1945. Because they did not, he had to go the
seven-year course to indemnify their failure, and then restore all things through all levels in the
40-year course. Now, through the victory of the 3.6 million couples, we have the national
foundation to protect the tribe, family, couple and individual, for the first time in history. Thus
it is now possible to declare the realization of the cosmic realm of rest for the True Parents.
The goal was achieved through the cooperation of the spirit world and the angelic world. Now
we can go ahead to achieve the blessing of 36 million and 360 million couples, and thus the
whole world, liberating all families in the world from Satan. This is a day of thanks and
celebration, and the declaration of victory. 
After the prayer, the ceremonies of a holy day were performed, with bows, the recitation of the
pledge, the prayer of True Parents and the cutting of a cake.
At 10:00 am, True Parents returned and True Father delivered a speech in which he explained the
significance of the day and the proclamation. Unofficial notes [of True Father's message given on
Chil Pal Jeol August 9, 1997 solar] from the simultaneous translation of Lynne Kim follow.
In the past, there were no families in the spirit world. Now, through the blessing, we are
making families that can continue in the spirit world. There is no place that cannot receive the
blessing now. Stop hiding. Go to the leaders and ministers of your country and tell them this is
the way to reverse the fall. Ours is a religion for families, not individuals. Thus it is of benefit to
society as a whole.

Heaven is empty. We need to fill Heaven with families. Through the fulfillment of conditions on
earth, God should be able to move back and forth between heaven and earth, without facing
barriers.
This is the day on which God and True Parents can rest. The conditions to create a realm of
rest for God are accomplished in eight stages: individual, couple, family, tribe/ancestors, nation,
world, cosmos and God. True Parents have accomplished this, but all families must achieve it
through restoration.

The ideal of the realm of rest for us is to have the peace to be able to have the wife at home
and to be able to spend time with her, to be able to relax and enjoy all things together. There
will be unchanging heaven and earth in peace. If you want, you will be able to sleep during the
day. You will be able to be like a flower, living in harmony with your surroundings.

Even if you die for your mission, your children and grandchildren will follow you and bring it to
completion. If we die on the way to God, we will be in His eternal embrace.

Parents have to make the way for God to come into the family. No people are that way yet.

The collapse of the contemporary world has occurred to open the way for the spread of the
foundation of the new messiah. Once the new foundation is made, God will be able to come
and go freely, to individuals, families, tribes, nations, the world and cosmos. Get the 3.6 million
couples to find ten couples each and we will reach 36 million. Get people in your lineage to do
likewise.

I have cried a lot because you have not followed the way of God. 
These next two excerpts are from notes of True Father's message on August 11, 1997 solar.
The proclamation of cosmic rest is a good condition. All have to bow their heads in front of it,
including God. You can go to heaven if you are grateful all the time. I cannot deny my blood
relationship with you. You can do what I ask, and go where I go. Members are connected to
True Parents through the blessing.

and Unification, Korea.” She furthermore held two successful rallies for women leaders.
After going through a course of suffering and sacrifice on the front line of pioneering three countries in South
America, True Father arrived in Korea on August 6. On August 9, he declared the historic “Realm of the
Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth” and educated 8,000 National Messiahs.
At the Kuri Training Center outside Seoul, at seven seconds past seven minutes past seven on the seventh day
of the seventh month of 1997 (lunar calendar), Father prayed to offer up the victory of meeting the 3.6 million
pre-blessing goal, and creating a new holy day. The new Holy Day is called “Declaration of the Realm of
Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth.”
True Parents said that on July 7 (lunar calendar of each year from now on we will commemorate the “7.8”
Holy Day (meaning: eight times the number seven), and that this will be an important Holy Day among the
eight major Holy Days.
In his prayer after the announcement, Father was overcome with tears. Afterwards, he told Rev. Kwak that he
was crying so deeply that it completely overwhelmed his mind. Clearly this was no ordinary occasion, but one
of cosmic moment. Father also said later that this was the most important proclamation he had ever made.
While supervising the worldwide leaders conference, True Father gave guidance for a life of faith, and new
directions. He also awarded prizes for the pre-blessing results accomplished up until now, and awarded prizes
as follows:
1st was Korea with 1,051,852 awarded $400,000;
2nd: Philippines, 952,281, $300,000;
3rd: Nigeria, 748,814, $200,000;
4th: Ghana, 658,000, [Page 6] $100,000.
For reference, the ensuing eight positions, and their results, were:
5th: Sudan, 515,200;
6th: Taiwan, 486,812;
7th: Russia, 285,643;
8th: Mexico. 231,102;
9th: USA, 178,611;
10th: Zaire, 173,000;
11th: Colombia, 148,711;
12th: Malawi, 140,306.
In addition True Parents announced their plan to award prizes for the 36 million and the 360 million couples
blessings. Results coming from August 9 and afterwards will accrue to the 36 million couples. The essence of
blessed family education, including that for the 3.6 million couples, is contained in the Family.
Pledge and the three speeches—View of the Principle of the Providential History of Salvation, In Search of the
Origin of the Universe, True Family and True Universe centering On True Love—which comprise the essence
of the word of the Completed Testament Age. All members should study and memorize these speeches. In
the future, contests for the recital of these speeches off by the heart will be held.
Do not worry how to manage things after the blessings of the 3.6 million couples and the 36 million couples.
Educate with the Family Pledge and the three speeches (View of the Principle of the Providential History of
Salvation, In Search of the Origin of the Universe, True Family and True Universe Centering On True Love).
Upon the declaration of “The Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth,” twelve clan
federations connected with the Moon Tribe and Han Tribe were established. In the beginning, only twelve
clans are represented, but this should expand and develop horizontally to twelve more clans, then a further
twelve clans, and so on. This is to expand the Cain-realm organization for the salvation of the nation. This
organization is to be compared with the orderly expansion of the blessed families into the Abel-realm within
the providence. Among the 36 couples, twelve received the blessing as Adam-type families representing our
ancestors and the past. Another twelve received the blessing as Noah-type families representing the current
generation of humankind and the present, and the final twelve couples received the blessing as Jacob-type
families representing future generations and the future. Then, as the 72, 124, and 430 couples, among others,
received the blessing step by step, the foundation of the Abel-realm was thus expanded.
These are some of the key points from Father’s talks during the period August 6-14, 1997:
What is it that you are going to be proud of in the spirit world? To have blessed many couples is the
first point of pride. After the 360 million couples, the realm of blessing will be bequeathed to all
families.
Parents are the owners of the realm of the practice of true love.
True Father has been consistent in his life of devotion. Forgetting about the sunrise and sunset, he
dedicated himself in one direction.
If you follow unwillingly, God does not work. Enjoy your life; live happily.
When you go to the spirit world, how you lived your life on earth is clearly shown. If your life was
spent wrongly, you will therefore have to pay much indemnity. Do not seek the high position,
therefore, but live with a humble attitude. You can go before God only after you pass through all the
conditions of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. As this state is one of absolute
selflessness, it becomes the object of infinite existence---thus becoming the secret of acquiring
infinite power.
From God’s point of view, once you set up the condition of being one hundred percent united in heart
with Father’s work, the angels are mobilized and cooperate with you, and all kinds of miracles occur.
God, who has been persevering despite being viewed until now as an incompetent God, would like to
manifest Himself as a capable God.
The Blessing of 3.6 million couples is a watershed: from this blessing on, those who are receiving the
“single person’s blessing” can be blessed with their spouse in the spirit world.
In the course of restoration, you should not reject or criticize someone whom True Parents love just
because that person does not fit in with you. Dedicate yourself and embrace that person more than
True Parents do. 


While the world was in deep sleep I planned each step of the history of restoration and completed it. Saegaejuk Chun Bu Ju Eui means the worldwide level heavenly parentism. Externally through these conditions I could
bring about unification, and by so doing communism was doomed to decline and perish. If America keeps
opposing Rev. Moon, America will have the same destiny. I am still holding onto the tail of America. That is
why America is still alive with its head above water. But if I let go, America will go down the drain rapidly. For
this reason I have been mobilizing every possible leader here in America with whom we have connected over
the years and have been working together with them. I offered many different seminars and conferences last
year alone to bring unity among the Protestant churches in North America and the Catholic Church in South
America.
Developments in Korea
Upon this victorious foundation, True Mother went to Korea to carry out a nationwide speaking tour.
Mother spoke in eighteen major locations delivering the truth to the leaders of Korea. Upon that victorious
foundation I finally could declare the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth.
In other words, because of the forty years of persecution from Christianity, Korea has been rather slow and
not really powerful, in terms of our church’s influence and activities. However, for the blessing campaign, I
really wanted to see Korea become the number one country in the world. That is why I invested everything
there, even sending True Mother three times in the last few years to tour the nation and deliver this truth,
mobilizing every possible member in Korea and thus bringing the top blessing result among the nations of the
world.
The goal which I had given Korea was 1.2 million couples. At one point President Hwang of the Korean
Unification Church had told me that by the "Eight Sevens" Celebration Day probably the maximum they would
be able to achieve would be one third, or around 400,000 couples. That was his viewpoint. Then I sent
Mother to Korea to mobilize the Women’s Federation members, and the husbands followed also. So by the
time Mother finished the third speaking tour in Korea, the number had risen quickly to 700,000 couples.
Finally, on the Eight Sevens Celebration Day, the number of blessed couples Korea had accomplished was 1.05
million, a number which they had never imagined. Pres. Hwang is coming here in a couple of days. I expect him
to report blessing 1.2 million couples. In the past our church membership in Korea was low, but because of
this effort by True Parents, Korea now has the top number of blessed couples.
I had been thinking that if Korea could not reach its goal I would take this blessing to Uruguay. When we look
at the geographical relationship between Korea and Uruguay, if Korea represents the North Pole, Uruguay
represents the South Pole. There are many similarities between them. For example, during the fight for the
independence of Korea from Japanese domination, forty-three Korean patriots formed the initial power to
mobilize Korea. Uruguay has the same number of patriots. Among the national holidays of the two countries
also there are many similarities. God worked through history in the background in this way. No one can deny
that. So although I was thinking of taking the blessing to Uruguay, because Korea became the number one
country in numbers of blessed couples, Korea has set enough conditions that soon the unification between
North and South Korea will be achieved. In addition, the equalization of wealth between the countries of the
northern and southern hemispheres will be achieved. The resolution between east and west culturally will also
be achieved.
After World War II, centering on True Parents, the Christian cultural world combined as one for the first
time, making the foundation for the Kingdom of Heaven. However, that prepared foundation was lost. True
Parents have set up again that kind of flat, family based, horizontal foundation on the earth. Is that true? Within
that foundation there is no race, no boundary, no nation, no individual’s name; there is no America, no
culture, no political phenomenon or power. There are no concepts in there. It is the starting point of
recreation. Do you understand?
If a woman has the concept that being a famous graduate of Harvard is something impressive, that is Satan’s
concept connecting with her. If she is proud to be a woman like that, proud because she is living in America
and it is the best place, that kind of thinking is connecting her immediately with Satan’s world. The original
place of creation did not have the color of America. Is that true? (Yes.) But inside you say no. Yes, that is true.
Any kind of color doesn’t want that kind of point of view.
So if Father commands you to go to Africa, that place where you go becomes your hometown. Is that true?
The hometown of your African husband becomes your hometown. Such a woman can feel, "Wow, this most
famous, colored man is my king. Thank you God for this blessing, this permission; forever my body will be
connected with this earth." Our personality is formed on this earth. isn’t it? We need to be so thankful that
we can receive this original blessing which was lost until now. How about American couples? Do you like me
to talk about this kind of thing? (Yes.) Yeeeeesss! You have to have that kind of confidence, action, ownership.
Otherwise God will leave you again.
Developments in Uruguay
Can you see how complicated it is? That is why I prepared the country of Uruguay a long time ago. Even
eighteen years ago the best top class hotel in South America was built in Uruguay. Also a bank was obtained
which has branches nationwide, and also a newspaper. I thought in case Korea could not fulfill its responsibility
everything would be taken to Uruguay. I went around the entire world from Korea in the northern
hemisphere all the way down to Uruguay, and came back around to Korea again and restored everything. By
re-engrafting to that kind of foundation we can proclaim the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of
Heaven and Earth.
Now can you connect it together? So again, Chun Bu Ju Eui was declared centered on the True Family. Chunji
bumo means the Parent of heaven and earth. And chunju ahnsik-gwon means “Realm of Cosmic Sabbath.”
When we hear such terminology, because it is so providential, if we truly understand it we will bow down, or
kneel down, and our entire body, all 40 billion cells, will shake with excitement. From there is the starting
point of the individual kingdom of heaven, the family kingdom, and the tribe, nation, world and cosmos
kingdoms, connecting heaven and earth, making a one body system centering on true love. When True
Parents go to the Western world, God is following too. Also all Unification members follow behind True
Parents like a shadow. Is that true? 

I attended the very special ceremony in Korea when True Father established the eighth holy day—July 7. He
called it the Seven-Eight Day. The Seven-Eight Day consists of eight sevens. Father proclaimed it this year,
1997 in the seventh month, on the seventh day, the seventh hour, the seventh minute, the seventh second and
it is True Father’s seventy-seventh birth year. And so we gathered for the Celebration of Seven- Eight Day.
At that time, Father proclaimed the “Declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for Parents of Heaven
and Earth.” Or in Korea we say, “Chunji Bumo Chunju Ahnsik-gwon Sunpo.” This means, Parents of Heaven
and Earth. Who are Parents of Heaven and Earth? God is Parent of Heaven and True Parents are Parents of
Earth. The Father is the Parent of Heaven and the Mother is the Parent of Earth. Heavenly Parents are vertical
and Earth Parents are horizontal. Heaven’s Parents are internal Parents and Earth’s Parents are external
Parents. Heavenly Parents are the invisible God and the Parents of Earth are the visible God, True Parents.
This is what is meant by “Parents of Heaven and Earth.”
We also need to know the meaning of Cosmic Sabbath. “Sabbaoth,” the Hebrew word from the Old
Testament era means ‘rest’. God created the Earth in six days and on the seventh day He did sabbaoth, he
rested, Ahnsik. The meaning of Ahn would be the following:
In a house there is a mother; the mother always prepares a very comfortable, very peaceful and serene
atmosphere. Sik means: a mind that is free and peaceful; a body that is free. In other words, in our
home we live a free, peaceful and comfortable life because that atmosphere has been created by our
loving and peaceful mother.
We already celebrate seven official holy days in our church, but Father said this eighth one is the most
important day of all. There is a key point here that I would like to convey. Within this new holy day, this
Sabbath, there are eight elements:

with unity of mind and body one becomes an individual House of Sabbath;
husband and wife united become a House of Sabbath;
a family united becomes House of Sabbath;
a tribe united becomes House of Sabbath;
a nation united becomes House of Sabbath;
a world united becomes House of Sabbath;
the cosmos or Heaven and Earth united becomes House of Sabbath; and
God united becomes House of Sabbath.
So here are our eight Houses.
Individual Sabbath
Everything begins with mind/body unity. That is the most important, fundamental issue, because Sabbath must
begin on the individual level. Principally and theologically we need to develop a good definition and explanation
of mind/body unity. God wants to dwell within the individual House of Sabbath. He needs to dwell inside our
mind and body. Just as our mind dwells within our body, so God wants to dwell there. He wants to rest within
our mind. If one asks “who or what is God?” ...God is love. (1 John 4:8) As a person begins a spiritual walk
they realize God is love. This is the greatest of all realizations. We find [the word] ‘love’ printed in the Bible
more than any other word.
God sent so many prophets to Earth to speak for Him. That tells us how much God loves us. God is love. For
our sake He sent many special people to tell us about Him. That is the greatest expression of His love. God
always forgives us, supports and protects us. He loves us with a true parental heart, with a true teacher’s
heart and a true owner’s heart. John is known as the disciple of love. This is because he received such amazing
love from Jesus. True Father himself quotes most often from John’s words: For God so loved the world that He
gave His only begotten Son... (John 3:16)
Internal Changing
Jesus Christ 2000 years ago brought the message of good news of the Kingdom of God. “Repent,” he said,
“the Kingdom of God will come soon.” What is the Kingdom of God? Christian theologians cannot give a clear
explanation of these words because Jesus gave symbolisms for the Kingdom of God on Earth and in Heaven.
Clearly, the contents defining the atmosphere of the Kingdom of God is JOY and HAPPINESS—a very joyful
world. Everybody can agree on this. And if we ask, “Where is the Kingdom of God?” just as the Bible says
“It is within you.” (Luke 17:21)
House of Sabbath means that God dwells there. And if God dwells there, it means that it is the Kingdom of
God. Isn’t that logical? In the 2,000 years of Christianity, believers have not been able to establish the Kingdom
because it begins within themselves and even God’s people are always looking outside themselves, instead of
within, when seeking the Kingdom. “If we change this society, the Kingdom of God will come on Earth,” they
say. Or “if we can bring about a [political] revolution on Earth, that will bring the ideal.” Marx, Lenin and Stalin
thought this way. They hoped to bring to the society, nation and world a systemic human society.
We know that with mind and body unity we become Temples of God; Almighty God, the God of True Love
can dwell within my heart; He will guide me, inspire me. So our words, our thinking, our expressions, our
lifestyle will be divine, God-like. We enter perfection. Jesus said, You must be perfect as your heavenly Father is
perfect. (Matt. 5:48)
The Kingdom of God on Earth has not come because our minds and bodies have not been ready for God to
dwell here. Instead, God has continued to guide us, inspire us and supervise and rule our lives through
prophets and religions. We did not permit God to dwell within us individually or to dwell collectively in our
society and world.
Guidance from the Bible
In the Beatitudes of Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus said, Blessed are the pure in heart for they
shall see God.. (Matt: 5:8) If your heart is pure, you will see God. Also he said, Blessed are the peacemakers, for
they shall be called the children of God. (Matt. 5:9) Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of
righteousness for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matt. 5:10) If you are persecuted that means you are
dedicated and you are putting forth effort, investing for a righteous world; then you will gain the Kingdom of
God.
When we make mind and body unity, we become pure in heart, develop a peaceful and righteous personality
and desire to sacrifice for God and the Messiah. But we will not see the Kingdom of God if we practice evil
ways which are contrary to the Kingdom. We can learn about evil practices through the following verses in
the Bible:

That which proceeds out of the man, that is what defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men,
proceed the evil thoughts, fornications, thefts, murders, adulteries, deeds of coveting and wickedness, as well
as deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride and foolishness. All these evil things proceed from within and defile
the man. (Mark 7:20-23)
But I say to you, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire
against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may
not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law. Now the deeds of
the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy,
outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions, envying, drunkenness, carousing and things like these, of
which I forewarn you just as I have forewarned you that those who practice such things shall not inherit the
kingdom of God. (Gal. 5:16-21)
How can the Kingdom of God come into us if we are living in any of these evil ways? It cannot happen. This
kind of divided flesh and mind cannot find unity. It is centered on satanic love. We must overcome this fallen,
satanic nature and reverse the process by the Blessing. Through the Blessing, God and True Parents give
undying, eternal new life; through the Holy Wine Ceremony we can receive the seed of new life.
Birth and Growth
Jesus said, ...Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the Kingdom of
God. (John 3:3) We must be born again. After we are reborn, we need to grow. Just as children who are
born physically must grow over a period of time, so we must grow after our birth (or rebirth). So again, when
we get the Blessing, we are given the ‘potential’ to change ourselves into divine personalities, with changed
hearts and minds and bodies. Then we can say we are the image of God, children of God, citizens of the
Kingdom of God on Earth and in Heaven.
We must invest our effort to develop our human personality and unite our mind and body in order to
become children of God. Or as Jesus said in the book of Mark: The foremost [commandment] is, HEAR, O
ISRAEL! THE LORD OUR GOD IS ONE LORD; AND YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR
HEART AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH. The second
is this: YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF. There is no other commandment greater than these.
(Mark 12:29-31) True Father quotes these verses so often.
With God dwelling in our heart, our heart and soul become completely mobilized to unite with God, have
give and take with God and take care of God, This is the most important commandment. And physically,
horizontally we must love our spouse, our family, neighbors, nation and world. This is developing a goodness
of heart, a divine heart. We also need good, fresh and divine physical bodies.
St. Paul said in Galatians, For the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have
crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. (Galatians 5:22-24)
St. Paul said clearly, if you have the nine fruits of the Spirit mentioned above, your life will become a divine
life, a God-like life. We can experience this kind of life on Earth, in our physical bodies.
I strongly urge everyone to work at uniting their mind and body. This is True Father’s constant teaching to
us. He knows we have not achieved this completely. He knows everything begins at that point. This is the
fundamental cornerstone for world peace; this is the cornerstone for the Kingdom of God on Earth and
in Heaven; and this is the cornerstone for the House of Sabbath for God and True Parents. It is important
for us to realize this.
Our Individual Responsibility
Some members say they do not want to give the Blessing to others because their personal and family situation
is not happy so how are they to go out and inspire others? I developed an answer to this: Please go out
regardless and knock on doors. Observe what is behind the doors—broken families, single-parent households,
struggling, unhappy people. This is among believers as well as nonbelievers. Then look at your own family. It is
still intact. It still maintains itself with no divorce. This is the power of the Blessing. In comparison to other
families, your family looks good and you have to be grateful. It is not yet perfect, but God and True Parents
have given the Seed of Life to us, the potential for perfection for the ideal blessed family. We have to receive
this seed and grow it to perfection by working the soil, investing our 95% responsibility; love and serve our
spouse and our family. This way we gain victory.
There are some couples who have not invested in their own marriage. They have not served their marriage
with gratitude and repentance. They have not paid the necessary indemnity nor sacrificed with True Love
(living for the sake of others). If I say of my own marriage, “it is not happy because of Mrs. Pak,” that is wrong.
If my marriage is unhappy, it is because of me. That is how we must think. My practice of love, my dedication,
my attitude, my personal standards, my character, my lifestyle is not ideal for my wife. So I could say then that
my family is not happy yet “because of me.” Too often couples point the finger of accusation at their spouse.
This has been the basic cause of trouble in families. If you are not a happy blessed person, then the first step is
to repent within yourself, not pass the blame to someone else.
President John Kennedy spoke his famous words to his fellow Americans: “Ask not what your country can do
for you but ask what you can do for your country.” Well, this must also be our attitude toward our family,
our mission, our nation, our world and toward God.
Knowing all this, can we still say we cannot give the Blessing to others because our own life is not happy? No.
Do we all start out in married life without problems? Impossible. In my own marriage we had to work out
many things, change ourselves, our attitudes to make it a good marriage. It takes work! Our children learn
from this. They also benefit from every problem that is worked out. They see the parents’ unity in working
things out and they appreciate and are proud when they can be in a peaceful, loving atmosphere.
When the wife and husband are always struggling and fighting, the house is a fearful place; broken or divorced
families make our second generation suffer so much. We all know, including psychologists and scholars, that
crime, drugs, alcohol, all the troubles of youth, come from the family in crisis. The whole world crisis stems
from one big factor—the troubled family. And the family crisis comes from our own mind and body disunity.
Family Sabbath
We need to make the family House of Sabbath by creating husband/wife unity. We need to repent individually,
saying “Heavenly Father, I am not grown up yet; I am so sorry; without my husband, without my wife, I am
only half of a small cosmos, I am handicapped. Because of my wife, my husband, I can become perfect, a
perfected cosmos. Without husband, without wife, we cannot have eternal life in the Kingdom of God. Joy and
happiness are impossible.
Christian churches always encourage individual salvation, not husband and wife, not family. That is an
Archangel religion. Unification Church is a family church. We next need a House of Sabbath for tribes. We are
urged to reach for a goal of 185 couples and we can understand the value of this number. To bless, educate
and develop these tribes requires a great deal of love on the part of our families. Next we need restoration of
the nation. For that, True Father has sent out National Messiahs to 185 nations of the world. They must reach
every facet of society in their nations and educate their nations.
In Blessing successes, Korea was the #1 nation (with well over a million); #2 was the Philippines (952,000);
#3 was Nigeria (748,000); #4 was Ghana (658,000). These nations received awards. Now Sudan has stepped
up as #1.
Father knew Jesus was happy with all this success so Father was happy. To reach these goals, in these nations,
was not an easy thing. But with the help of Heaven they did it.
American Family Life
America is the Bride country to receive the Bridegroom so America should be #1 in the 36 million couple
Blessing. We must work to attain this so that Jesus’ heart can be healed. America has been prepared to
receive the Lord of the Second Advent. Should America be #1 in Blessing numbers because it is a super
country? No. Or because it is a powerful and rich country? No. Because of Jesus Christ. That’s why it should
be in the lead.
Just as national messiahs in all nations are responsible to bring many Blessing couples, so American state
and district leaders should think of themselves as equivalent to national messiahs during this time and work
very hard to bring up their Blessing quotas. There are districts and states that have far more numbers in areas
than some of the nations out there with national messiahs so you should feel this same responsibility.
Especially in this Christian nation of America. For the sake of God, Jesus and True Parents we must fulfill our
heavenly responsibility.
People are so inspired as we share with them this worldwide movement for True Families and Blessing ‘97. As
tribal leaders we can proudly take the good news to our communities as the Willet family did in Kentucky,
reaching out to their whole community, kindling the fire of enthusiasm. The Willets are a good example of
how we make a House of Sabbath for Tribal Messiahs.
America has made some success. We have six Indian nations (tribes) belonging to the Blessing now. I was
asked to give a report on North American Blessings while I was in Korea. This was significant. There were
important leaders from all around the world present there. This is really revival time for America. After the
report was given, many leaders told me how inspired they were by the report and how secure it made them
feel to hear the report.
The world looks to America. It expects great things from America. From you and me. Are we going to fulfill
our heavy—and glorious—responsibility? Do we dare to be lazy or disunited? If we do not bring victory, then
all the world and the spiritual world as well will bring blame and shame upon us! Especially the East Coast,
New York and Washington, DC areas in particular, these are vital areas. We have received so much benefit
here. We eat well and do not have to sacrifice so much in comparison to other countries.
For example, in my new nation of Switzerland, my son In Ho and his wife Eun Jin returned to New York after
a visit there this summer and told the story of how the Japanese National Messiah Mr. Wada, went out on the
streets witnessing to the Blessing, not knowing the language at all and sacrificing so much, not even eating
much food. My son was so impressed, so, touched by seeing what Mr. Wada was doing that he turned over to
Mr. Wada the couples he and Eun Jin had blessed while there. Before starting the second generation
workshop which In Ho went there to lead, their couple had witnessed publicly to some very substantial
people.
So here in New York, in America, we must be very grateful for what we have compared to other countries.
We must change our attitudes and begin to sacrifice more and work harder. The more we Bless here, the
more the spiritual world benefits. We must also consider Registration. More and more is being revealed.
There will probably be a horizontal registration as well as a vertical registration. So it is wise to continue
Blessings even after you have reached your quotas.
Dr. Hendricks has produced a letter for the nation giving regional successes so we must keep a competitive
spirit. A few members are near or over one thousand. This is the season of harvest! Also, Dr. Hendricks’
office will be forthcoming with material to educate our Blessing couples.
Blessing with Love
We have a good standard in giving the Blessing in America. We explain the Blessing, we give holy wine and
water, we pray, we have good registration forms, we give beautiful certificates, we take pictures. We must
continue this way. We should go to the best and worst places, we should go day and night. This is how Satan
works so we should too. 360,000 is too small a number for big America. We should determine to go much
higher.
We must also update our database quickly. This is our Book of Life. The nation needs its Book of Life. This is
our great year in America, our great honor to have this Blessing in Washington, DC. We must take this
seriously.
The spiritual world is working actively with us. This is our time for success. This November 29 is our
opportunity of a lifetime! We must think victory, not defeat. We must go down in history as having brought
victory at his unusual event, at this special time in history. So we witness, we record, we educate and we bring
one bus (20 couples) each and we will bring easy victory.
In John’s Revelation 22:2 John said the Tree of Life has a lot of fruit, for a season, but Jesus most hated and
cursed the fig tree, because it was devoid of fruit. We do not want to be barren trees before True Parents.
True Father arrived in America twenty-five years ago. I was there. There were few to welcome him. But
he promised God at that time that he would practice True Love and sacrifice more than any American
founding father or pioneer had done for this country. How much support and love have all of us received from
True Father! Priceless Blessing, good missionary positions, protection, always receiving vision and hope. But
what have we given True Parents?
Before proclaiming the “Declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for Parents of Heaven and Earth”
Father delivered a most deep and emotional prayer. I have never seen Father so tearful as he poured out his
gratitude to God, as he comforted God in remembering God’s own loneliness, and True Father’s lonely and
dangerous path in restoration. Under God’s protection, he practiced True Love and is now on Top of the
World. He is the Bright Sunlight and the Bright Moonlight. This is our True Parents. He declared to God:
“Now You can rest, now You can relax. This world will now become Your nation, Your world, Your
cosmos.”
In Switzerland, there is a Catholic theologian and scholar of ethics, Hans Kung, who was excommunicated
because his teachings were not compatible with the teachings of the Church. He is known worldwide for
his ethical thoughts. Right now he is writing his ‘world ethics’ which he worked on in conjunction with the
UN. Kung said, “Today’s world is so individualistic, losing the value system, losing tradition, losing integrity,
losing all good things. The world is becoming more and more selfish. Struggle is coming.” What does Kung
give as a solution? “Only one thing: practice love.” That is the answer. As Jesus and True Parents taught, “live
for others; practice True Love.” It is the solution for world peace. We must make our individual self the
House of God, as well as our husbands and wives, our families, our nation, world and cosmos. It is not yet
time for completion, but we must get started. It will be fulfilled soon.
This is the meaning of the Seven-Eight Holy Day. 


This holy song has very mysterious origins. It has existed in Korea for a long time but also it has been a
favorite folk hymn in the Appalachian Mountains for 100 years or more. One possible explanation is that
English pioneers brought it to America while English missionaries took the same song to Korea. In July, 1967,
when Father went to Japan, he decided to sing this song during his lecture and explained the significance of
the words:

As the world changes from Satan’s dominion to God’s dominion, the Lord will come. The lilies
represent the bride. Even though the wind may blow from all directions, their fragrance always goes
in one direction because of their shape. You should study the lilies and pray that you can be more like
them. When the Lord showers His grace upon us, dead hearts are revived, and we see and hear the
world from a completely different viewpoint. Pure spring water runs over the ground purifying the
ground. Our minds and bodies are so filthy, but they are purified and become fertile ground. The
6,000 - year revenge is taken, and this world becomes the flower garden of the Kingdom of God. The
indemnity of the cross must be wiped away by going the reverse course. The Lord comes by the cross:
Jesus by the red cross, and the Lord of the Second Advent by the white cross. When that indemnity
has been restored, mankind can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We build the Kingdom of Heaven
ourselves. To this end we must suffer much more than we have until now. But it will enable us to win
true victory. Suffering that took place in the past was washed away as indemnity. But suffering in the
Completed Testament Age will bear fruit and become our glory. In this glorious time, we must
shoulder His Providence to rebuild the Kingdom of Heaven and follow. 

and everything else in the heavenly realm. In order to lay the foundation of love You have made many
declarations.
In that way You proclaimed Chil Pal (7.8) Jeol, which has established that one great hill has been overcome, and
Satan can never undermine or erase these declaration days. But on the occasion of the True Parents’ having
attained seventy-seven years of age, and on the exact second, minute, hour, day, month, and year, we went
over the satanic hill of number fourteen through completing human responsibility, and shattered Satan’s
blockage based upon the limitation of number fourteen, which represents the top of the growth stage,
whereupon You declared a day of free settlement and rest of the parents of heaven and earth. This child of
Yours declared this day because I know that this is a day of historic commemoration and day when we can

During the event, True Father proclaimed God’s all-transcendence, omnipresence, full authority and

In True Father's vocabulary are the words Chun Shik-heaven and earth. We understand heaven by virtue of
the teachings about spirit world, given by True Parents since the 1960s. In the prayers at the historic
ceremonies, Father connected the activities on earth to the spirit world and proclaimed those things, and has
kept awakening us to the reality of the spirit world and has established a bridge between physical world and
spirit world. True Father created so many such holy days. In the 1970s there were so many, and many more in
the 1980s. In their lifetime, True Parents were working to establish the realm of the elder son, parents and
king from the individual up, to the people, nation and world. There were indemnity conditions that only True
Parents know, to close the mouth of Satan and prevent him from accusing. We can understand the providence
of these days through the prayers that Father prayed on those occasions, especially the restoration of elder
son, parents and king.
There were so many acts to restore the realm of the elder son in the Old Testament Age, at the time of Jesus
and in the New Testament Age. In the Old Testament Age they offered the sacrifice of all things. Then Jesus
came and established the condition for spiritual salvation throughout the world. The providence of the
Christian realm affected the whole world; the whole world came to relate together centered on Jesus. Then,
after the second world war, if the victorious realm of the Christian world had attended True Parents as their
Abel, then the Christian foundation could have connected to the providence and within a few years the world
could have been restored.
But the Korean Christians could not fulfill that responsibility, and Father, who should have stood on that
foundation, had to go out to the wilderness. He had to go forth to pay indemnity and establish the realm of
the elder son by following a miserable course. In the midst of that, we were not able to help him. We really
didn't know in advance and could not comfort or encourage him. We have been unfaithful.
True Parents centered these decisive foundations of the providence on the national level in Korea. But they
had to take care of the world at the same time. They made the absolute elder son realm and parental realm
and established the HSA-UWC foundation to unify Christianity. Since Christianity did not recognize the
Messiah, the Unification Church members received the blessing instead of them. That blessing of true love, life
and lineage was lost by the human ancestors and no one had been able to enjoy it. We received it beginning
with the 3 couples to the 36 couples, through 9 stages to 1992 when it was globalized with the 30,000 couples
in the first WCSF. Then, in 1995, there were 360,000 couples, in 1997, 3.6 million and also 36 million were
reached through spirit world and True Parents, equaling 40 million. Then on June 13, 1998 at Madison Square
Garden True Parents mediated the blessing of 120 million couples.
Based on that, True Parents made the 7.8 holy day, the declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the
Parents of Heaven and Earth, so that all beings could be embraced in God's true love. This had to expand to the
world level, so that True Parents could speak to and bless anyone in the world, beyond Satan's accusation.
The proclamation of the Cosmic Sabbath made this possible. Our True Parents kept pushing us out; you all
remember how they pushed us. We established external conditions and they established the internal ones,
during the preparation for the 360 million couple blessing. In the Pantanal, May 14-16, 1998, True Parents
proclaimed that he opened even the gates of hell in spirit world. Even God could not open them, because they
were in the realm of Satan. In place of Adam and Eve, only True Parents could do that.

The 7.8 Jeol (The Declaration of the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth) and 9.9 Jeol
are the two great pillars of the providence.
The 7.8 Jeol was established at 7 seconds and 7 minutes past 7:00 A.M. on July 7, 1997. All providential events
such as conferences and blessings are events of the restoration providence, events to restore the right of the
Elder Son, right of Parents and the right of King. In contrast with events of restoration before the 7.8 Jeol,
events after the 7.8 Jeol can be distinguished as events of creation in order to create the original world
following the conclusion of restoration. After 7.8 Jeol they are events re-creating the original world under
God's sovereignty.
For example, we offered donations before and after 7.8 Jeol. It is the same donation, but the donations we
offered before 7.8 Jeol was not all received by God. Some were taken by God and some were taken by Satan.
An offering was possible only through such dividing. But after 7.8 Jeol, the total living offering is something that
Satan cannot take away. The events after 7.8 Jeol are the incidents that would be completed. They show the
sovereignty of True Parents. True Parents cannot liberate the spirit world and hell according to their free will.
They must fight Satan. They must be True Parents who cannot be slandered by Satan. Therefore, True Parents
life has been a severe fight. After 7.8 Jeol, God can bless Satan who became the origin of the fall, without any
condition. After the declaration of 9.9 Jeol, True Parents gave blessing as an age totally without indemnity
condition.
Until now conditions were necessary to receive the blessing. In the past there was 7-day fasting, witnessing to
3 spiritual children and a 3-year course of public mission. But now the official indemnity course before and
after the blessing is gone. Providential change is so great. Through the declaration of 9.9 Jeol, it is now possible
to start family life straight away if you merely complete a 40-day separation period. It is an amazing change in
the providence. 

What is Chil Pal Jeol? What is today? The Cosmic Sabbath (realm of settlement) of the Parents of Heaven and
Earth! There should be no more national borders, and you should all be heavenly masters so that you can have
the settlement realm (realm of the Sabbath) within you. Those are the two conditions. Do you understand?
You should make God the Master of True Love and then you should make complete unity with God. That
way, you can be liberated, and the Parents of Heaven and Earth can rest in the universe. I have mentioned
about An-Shik (settlement), haven't I? "An" means comfortable. The Chinese character is made up of two
Chinese characters, a house and a woman. A woman has to take care of her children. "Shik" means rest. This
Chinese character is combination of two Chinese characters, freedom and mind. So where a woman can hold
and love her baby, there is freedom for the baby and the mother and the husband. Everyone is free! Safe
settlement is where everybody's mind is free and everybody rests comfortably! Amen!
So there are two things. What is the first thing? [Breaking down national boundaries!] Breaking down the
national boundaries! What is the second? You should create the family of filial sons and daughters who make
God the master of the eight stages of love. That is the ultimate desire of your couples and families.
So here today on Chil Pal Jeol, we understand the value of breaking down national boundaries, religious
boundaries and boundaries between heaven and hell. The false parents created all the boundaries. Therefore,
True Parents are the only ones who can break down those boundaries. Not even God or Satan can do it. Do
you understand? If you understand that only True Parents, with true love, can do the work that neither God
or Satan can, you should also know that the amount of your love and respect for True Parents is directly
connected to your love for God. You also have nothing to lose when you give, give, give and give love
endlessly, the kind of love that will lead you to blessing and to the world of liberation! Let there be the realm
of liberation of heaven and earth forever and ever in history! [Amen!] (Applause) 

seven and, centering on True Parents, breaking down all the barriers blocking the ideal of creation.
Man fell at the level of the number six and could not go up to the number seven, the cosmic Sabbath. We are
truly grateful for the fact that Heavenly Father allowed us to proclaim the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of
Heaven and Earth on Chil Pal Jeol, which is centered on the perfection of the number seven. 

The Chil Pal Jeol ceremony was held at Cheonseong Wanglim Palace (Chung Pyung lake) with True Parents
present. Through his congratulatory prayer at Pledge Service, True Father thanked God for the fact that the
entire universe has become the land for God’s rest and for His guidance that has allowed the preparation of
the Realm of the Liberation of the Cosmos, where God and True Parents can work freely. Father proclaimed
the Realm of God’s Liberation transcending national, worldwide and cosmic boundaries.
After having proclaimed the liberation of individuals and of the Eight Stages with the spirit of independence,
and for God to allow the entire cosmos to be overflowing with the eternally liberated ideal of the Kingdom of
Heaven, he sincerely prayed for us to be able to inherit as the Lord’s sons and daughters, standing in the
position of the Lord independently. Father also prayed for all of us to be able to pray victorious prayers and to
have the supreme authority to go forward to the free and liberated world.

On August 4th we will celebrate in Kodiak with our True Parents this special Holiday. It is said that when
Father created this holy day his prayer of dedication was filled with tears as Father wept profusely without
stopping.
With this in mind, even though our understanding is so limited, let us share this holy day with a deep mind and
heart toward God. On this day in 1997 eight sevens could be claimed as completed - (7th year of the decade),
on the 7th month, 7th day, 7th hour, 7th minute and 7th second while Father was 77 years old.
Father could claim the victory of the 3.6 million couple completion of the preblessing. Securing this
providential number with the holy wine and True Parents prayer allowed God to open the gate for the 36
million couple and 360 million couple change of blood lineage to be completed. One of the most significant
aspects of this holy day was that the conditions were set that claimed enough foundation through the change
of blood lineage surrounding True Parents that God and True Parents could claim forever the condition that
nothing could ever stop, destroy or divert the foundation of God's dwelling with humanity through our True
Parents and blessed families. Without this level of condition God could not claim that the Blessing was
irreversible. From this day the internal and external conditions were set that created the Realm of the Cosmic
Sabbath because God's ideal of creation (blessed families) on a Cosmic level, representing heaven and earth
could never be reversed. The conditions are set and the foundation of God is absolute, eternal and unchanging
--- forever. That means from this point on the Satanic world will continue to decline in power.
That's why Father could weep. Until this moment God could not rest for one second in the 6000-year course
of providential restoration. Due to this accomplishment of the 7.8 Jeol True Parents could proclaim the
Cosmic Sabbath for God and could also proclaim the Sabbath for True Parents. Another key element to the
Day of the Realm of Cosmic Sabbath for Parents of Heaven and Earth is that from this moment True Father
could open the gate for couples to blessed in the spirit world and to open the gates of heaven so that
eventually couples blessed in the spirit world can dwell in the heavenly kingdom. In November, 1997 at RFK
Stadium the door opened for immense numbers of couples from the spirit world to be free to receive True
Parents blessing. On December 1, 1997 they proclaimed the "Declaration of the Opening of the Right to Give
the Blessing in the Spiritual World," through which Heung Jin Nim and Dae Mo Nim were given the rightful
position to conduct Blessings of spirit people. Since then spirits could receive the Blessing with the absolute
authority of the spiritual world.
Satan's lineage has been irreversibly cut forever. For God to truly rest, Father stated on this occasion that
there must be no boundaries between nations and peoples for God to truly rest. Let us now march with firm
resolve on the path to complete this historic transition by expanding Cheon Il Guk and completing the
blessing process both in the spirit world and on earth until all are restored into the lineage of God and the
nations of the world become engrafted into the Kingdom Of God on earth. 

An Interfaith rally of 21,000 was held at Sun Moon University celebrating the 8th Chil Pal Jeol (Declaration of
the Realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven and Earth) [August 22, 2004 solar]. First
proclaimed in 1997, this holiday signifies that from that time the safe settlement of True Parents was secured
and that nothing could reverse their eternal foundation. This caused the liberation of all humanity.
True Father's speech today began with extemporaneous remarks focusing on the revolution of indemnity
(unity of mind and body, husband and wife), revolution of conscience (as the dwelling of God, you are guided
by your conscience) and revolution of heart (you become one with God's heart to serve and save humanity).
Father's address gave a new foundation for the Peace Kingdom. He proclaimed that the new heaven and earth
has now been revealed. We are living in a totally new era. We are now to become revolutionaries of love and
truly focus every aspect of our lives on living for the sake of others.
The celebration broke out into a moment demonstrating the "liberation" of all ancestors when an American
Indian leader danced while a Korean Folk song was beautifully sung by one of Korea's great artists. Joy filled
the atmosphere as you could feel that the Native America Indian people could dance freely on the world stage
before all of history. Father and Mother were beaming with joy. 

which saw the coincidence of eight sevens, the dispensational significance of this repetition was proclaimed, as
well as the Cosmic Sabbath of the Parents of Heaven and Earth. We came here today, closely observed by the
blessed members and all things in the universe – the spiritual and physical worlds – to commemorate the ninth
anniversary and set out toward the tenth. We are truly grateful for Your allowing us this day of
commemoration, celebrated here in Kodiak as we usher in the era wherein the Parents of Heaven and Earth
can completely clear away the history of indemnity and bequeath to the whole universe the blessing of
liberation. Permit all of us, Your children who have come together here to celebrate this day, to march
forward from this month to the next and ever after, so that we henceforth make rapid progress in everything
we do and contribute toward fulfilling the providential will. We thank you for this era of liberation and

The beginning of True Father's Speech
Unable to forget about me, and with the things I've told you embedded deep in your hearts, you should
discover from the word that it is you who are destined to be resurrected as owners of the universe. With this
knowledge, your efforts should be directed toward developing loyalty and filial piety. Your families should
change through being connected to the path God has walked. They should become families of devoted sons
and daughters formed from the union of holy sons and holy daughters, the families of patriots – and finally –
families directly descended from God that have been given the blessing of being able to serve Him. Such are
the tasks still left for you to complete, duties you need to fulfill before you pass on to the next world. You
should never forget this. This is the advice I want to give you. 


Parents. Also at the same time all the True Family came to support True Father, to give love, and we had a
wonderful time with True Parents after the ceremonies. 

Parents are still in recovery, so they have to wear this plastic body brace to support their spinal cord until
they heal. And the doctors prescribed them to wear these until 30th of August. 

Ladies and gentlemen, through the Fall, Adam and Eve yielded their spiritual and physical bodies to Satan. Even
though Jesus lost his physical body through the tribulation of the cross, he blazed the path of spiritual salvation
for all humankind by achieving spiritual resurrection after the victory of the forty-day resurrection period.
From this standpoint, this helicopter accident has tremendous providential significance. Amid an all-out attack
from Satan, True Parents have obtained the complete, substantial victory, both spiritual and physical, and have
enabled three generations of the True Family -- which had been lost in the history of the providence -- to be
restored and firmly established without shedding a drop of blood.
On that unforgettable day, July 19, the day of the helicopter accident, rebirth was completed. On the
twentieth day since the accident, August 7 (Chil Pal Jeol), resurrection was completed. Now it is the fortieth
day since the accident, and as we tie this up in victory, I am proclaiming the day of the perfection of eternal
life. I proclaim the new day of eternal life, on which we can sing the praises of eternal liberation and complete
freedom by opening up a new heaven and earth, the final ideal realm of the providence centering on God.
Now, January 13, 2013, promising a new time and new nation, is coming. Let us march on toward the day of
the nation of Cheon Il Guk, the substantial kingdom of peace in which we may enjoy the eternal jubilee year
by preserving God's lineage and complete blessing and attending the original God as the Father of all
humankind. 

Significance of Chil Pal Jeol
In her announcement of the upcoming celebration of Chil Pal Jeol, to be held on August 1, 2009,

1) This Holy Day is a declaration of God’s realm of Sabbath which was established on the foundation of
the victory of the 3.6 million blessing, which is a global blessing ceremony of the perfection stage, and
[based upon] … the fact that God ushered in an era in which he can exercise his full authority. From
2007, the commemorative event for Chil Pal Jeol has been held on August 1 (solar calendar).
2) In the Bible it is recorded in chapter 2 of the book of Genesis that God created the heavens and the
earth over a period of six days and rested on the seventh day. True Father emerged on the foundation
of six thousand years of the history of restoration through indemnity. He declared Chil Pal Jeol and
entered into the realm of Sabbath at that moment when the number 7 (the number of rest) overlapped
eight times, signifying the restoration of the number 7 at the 7th second of the 7th minute of the 7th
hour in the morning of the 7th day of the 7th lunar month of the year 1997, in which True Father
turned 77.
3) The realm of the Sabbath signifies a realm that transcends Satan’s accusations. Consequently, an era
ushering in heavenly fortune began where God was able to exercise His full authority as He should
have.

4) There are three providential factors that enabled the declaration of Chil Pal Jeol.
First, is the establishment of a foundation of victory of having restored the three rights (restoration of
the right of the eldest son, right of the parents and kingship) centering on True Parents’ family, on the
foundation of having restoring these three rights on the vertical standard that was victoriously
established.
Second, during his prayer for this declaration, True Father prayed “I thank You for the grace of
allowing this day to be established through the emergence of a time of victory for a transnational
blessing ceremony of 3.6 million couples, which can go beyond the satanic world.” Through this prayer,
it can be seen that as of July 15 that day, more than 3.6 million couples worldwide were secured for
the blessing ceremony.
Third, on April 10, 1992 True Mother founded the Women’s Federation for World Peace, ushering
in an era of the liberation of women worldwide. Based on the success of her speeches delivered at
the US Congress and UN Headquarters, True Parents successfully held the “Korean Leaders
Convention for Practicing True Families for World Peace and Unification” held from July 22 to August
8 in 1997. 

Cheon Bok Gung [Cheon: Heavenly; Bok: Blessings; Gung: Palace/ Temple ~ the Korean name of the
Unification International Headquarters Church in Seoul, South Korea] signifies that even if there are a
thousand, or ten thousand, blessed palaces, just one house and nothing more is enough for two people.
Two people living together would prefer to live in a small house where they are happy than in a house
ten times its size where they are not.
In the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath, there is Absolute Sex. What comes after that? [True love] We
don't say "absolute love," but "true love."

What is a key feature of the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath of the Parents of Heaven and Earth?
[Absolute Sex] "Absolute Sex" is our own patented, professional term from now on. People who are
acknowledged officially by heaven and earth and living in heaven and on earth all belong to the realm of
the Parents of Heaven and Earth, that is, the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath of the Parents of Heaven
and Earth. The first and absolute prerequisite to entering this realm is absolute sexual ethics, and no
one is outside of this realm [requirement].

Now we can say that those who do not maintain an absolute standard of sexual ethics ought to
disappear. Such people are incapacitated. That's why we need true lineage following Absolute Sex, true
love and true life. True lineage is centered on Absolute Sex, in which true love and true life become
one. This is the only way to make a true lineage. If a true lineage is not created, there will be a tattered
sphere of sexuality, that is, a tattered lineage.

Every day we see different lineages circulating through spring, summer, fall and winter. Since a different
type of blood is passing through each day, human beings, who every day are the fruits of different kinds
of life and love, will get into a terrible mess and will be ruined. That is the conclusion. Inevitably, even
though we don't like it, we have to enforce the law to prevent this from happening. In this way, the
realm of the Cosmic Sabbath will remain alive.
Let's say the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath were to die; then the Parents of Heaven and Earth would
disappear. If the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath were to disappear, the Parents of Heaven and Earth
themselves would disappear. As long as we don't have any fields where we can plant seeds and grow
them, whatever we do in the heavens will disappear as something without practical application.
Without a practical application, we cannot consider it a reasonable course. We absolutely must
protect the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath.

…we need to restore the Sabbath realm of the Parents of Heaven and Earth today. The Sabbath realm
is a thing to be grateful for. It is where we can finally come to rest. It means we no longer have to look
for our home, because we have found it and can reside in it. Before such a home is found, no man or
woman can claim that he or she has found a home to live in. Everyone is a wanderer, floating in midair.

Kook Jin and Hyung Jin, where is Cheon Bok Gung? Cheon Bok Gung is the palace, the home we are
to live in. It includes the family palace, the tribal palace, the national palace, the district palace, the
county palace, the provincial palace, the government ministers' palace, the vice-president's palace and
the president's palace, doesn't it?

This is important. Even if heaven and earth, the parents, and the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath are
forsaken, we are automatically included in the lineage of God, our substantial Parent, as His seed, the
seed of the True Father and True Mother. Are we, or aren't we included? We are all included. That is
why we have read in Hoon Dok Hae about the realm of the Cosmic Sabbath for the Parents of Heaven
and Earth. That is the term used, and in 1997 it was connected to the number seven. Once we get
beyond the number seven and become connected centering on the seventh and eighth years [of Cheon
II Guk] the jubilee years, everything will be brought to an end.
Once that Sabbath realm comes into being, everything will be brought to an end, and there will no
longer be a satanic world. The UN will cease to exist in its current form. We have entered the era of
the True Parent UN. There is only one nation, one set of parents and one bloodline. There is only one
father and one mother.

In order to enter the cosmic home, you need to offer everything you have, whether it is your assets or
your relatives, to the Parents of Heaven and Earth, because otherwise you will not be able to enter the
house of the cosmic family. Then there will be no need for the Parents of Heaven and Earth, because
everyone will already be there. Can there be two sets of parents? The Old Testament Age, New
Testament Age and Completed Testament Age... We are now in the era of the realm of the fourth
Adam. Do you know how I came to announce that? It was inevitable in this generation. Shouldn't the
first, second and third generations all come to their restful Sabbath? Knowing that, you should widen
the place, so that all 6.5 billion people of the world can be included. 
14th Observance held for the first time according to the Heavenly Calendar
on the 7th Day of the 7th Month of Year One of Cheong-gi [the Heavenly Foundation]
(August 16, 2010 solar)
In 2010, it was initially announced that we were going to celebrate both Chil Il Jeol, The Day of God’s Eternal
Blessing (previously celebrated on July 1st solar) and Chil Pal Jeol Cosmic Sabbath, on the 1st day of the 7th
month by the Heavenly Calendar (July 1, 2010 lunar which is August 10, 2010 solar), however this was
changed to the 7th day of the 7th month according to the Heavenly Calendar (July 7th lunar, which is August 16th
solar). The two occasions would be celebrated together on the founding day of Chil Pal Jeol Cosmic Sabbath,
since 7.8 day was based on eight instances of the number seven: 7 minutes and 7 seconds past 7 o'clock of the
7th day of the 7th lunar month in 1997, when True Father was 77 years of age.

On 7.7 in the first year of the Heavenly Calendar (Monday, August 16, 2010), 1731 people (according to an
official count by the staff at the front gate of Cheon Jeong Gung), including the family of International President
Hyung Jin Moon, the family of Tongil Group Chairman Kook Jin Moon, Women’s Federation for World Peace
Korea Vice President Yeon Ah Choi (wife of the late Hyo Jin Moon), faithful members of the Unification
Church, Universal Peace Federation leaders and others attended True Parents in the Main Hall of the Cheon
Jeong Gung to celebrate the 20th Chil Il Jeol and the 14th Chil Pal Jeol holy days.
With True Parents’ entrance at 8 a.m., Master of Ceremonies Dr. Jun Ho Seuk guided the proceedings of the
ceremony. After a singing of the Cheon Il Guk national anthem (“Blessing of Glory”), bows were offered to
God and True Parents by representatives of the following groups, in the order given:
1. The True Children and Their Families
2. Second Generation Blessed Families
3. All Blessed Families in the Spirit and Physical Worlds
4. The Three Major Providential Nations (Korea, Japan, USA)
5. The Six Continents
6. Central Religions in God’s Providence
7. All Boonbongwangs (Peace Viceroys) and National Messiahs Worldwide

Everyone joined together to recite the Family Pledge, after which International President Hyung Jin Moon
offered the Report Prayer, True Parents cut the commemoratory cake and partook of the offering table food.
After a congratulatory song by the Japanese West Tokyo Parish Choir, Rev. Peter Kim read one of True
Father’s historical speeches.
During Rev. Peter Kim’s reading, True Father started speaking all of a sudden, “Please say, ‘Land!’ What kinds
of sounds do we hear on the land? The sounds of guns. This must stop. Military force has been beating
throughout the world and destroying the land. Where must the beings who would exist on this land go? They
have lost the position of the ancestor of the sperm and ovum within the world of the womb of True Parents.
Thus, they must seek and enter the position of the ancestor. It’s a big problem if their minds and bodies are
not united. Young people may say, ‘We received the Blessing and are now united as husband and wife,’ but
before husband and wife become united, both husband and wife must united their minds and bodies.”
True Parents, who received flowers after having spoken, asked that chairs could be put in front of the
participants, so that they may speak from right in front of the audience. After speaking from the new position,
True Father sang the Grandmother Flower Song. Then he asked Rev. Yong Cheol Song (continental director
of Europe) and Rev. Yeong Seok Song (chairman of Japan movement) to sing.
True Father said that he initially intended to hold the ‘Assembly to Proclaim the Substantial Word of God and
the Era of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind’ in Las Vegas but it was held in Korea first, then again
in America and finally it will be held in Israel, in the reverse order of the First, Second and Third Israels. True
Father asked North America Continental Director Dr. Chang Shik Yang to explain about this.
Dr. Yang explained, “As you know, the Assembly to Proclaim the Substantial Word of God and the Era of the
Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, which Father just spoke about, was held on July 8th here in the

success in attendance of True Parents. Later, the same event was held on July 24th in the Manhattan Center in
New York, where 5,000 gathered locally and the event was broadcast throughout America and the entire
world simultaneously through the Internet. After the American event, True Father immediately ordered that
the event must also be held in Jerusalem, which is the First Israel. Originally, Jerusalem is the capital of the
First Israel and Washington is the capital of the Second Israel. The capital of the Third Israel is Seoul.
Providentially, Father has always started from the Foundation Stage and worked through the three stages of
foundation, growth and completion. However, in the case of this event, Father first determined to hold the
event in the Korean peninsula, which is the final Holy Ground, the homeland of the Providence and of our
faith, and is restoring the Second and First Israels in the reverse order. The greatest highlight of this event is
the Substantial Word. The title of the event is the Assembly to Proclaim the Substantial Word of God and the
Era of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind, right? Father decided on the title of this event in Las
Vegas. Before announcing this event, Father went to Las Vegas and offered an incredible amount of devotion
before adding these keywords to the title of the event.”
After Dr. Yang’s report was complete, True Father said, “What I will speak about today is simple, so please
listen well. Who was there in the Garden of Eden other than God? Adam, Eve and who else? The Archangel.
That was it. There was Adam, Eve and the Archangel – three. Including God, there were four. How many men
live in this age? Centering on Adam and Eve, the four people, including God, were lost. In the course of
seeking for these four, how many hundreds of millions of people have become part of humankind? Many
hundreds of billions of people. The mistakes in one family, what went wrong in one family, has expanded to
hundreds of billions of people. That means each person must take the place of the life of this one family. At
the level of individuals, individuals must be found who can be recognized by God, by heaven and earth and by
Adam and Eve, recognized by Lucifer. There must be one man and one woman who can be recognized in this
way. And what must those people do? They must not fight.”
Father asked each of the following people to sing: Rev. Seung Ryong Moon and his daughter Seon Ae Moon,
Rev. Yang Heo, and the wives of the Five Great Saints (Hyeon Sil Kang, Jeong Soon Jang, Jeong Og Lee). Next,
he asked Rev. Jeong Soon Jo to report about his activities in Las Vegas and offer a song. Next, Father asked
Missionary Thomas Hwang and the wife of the former regional leader of Seattle to sing, and finally for
Missionary Thomas Hwang to report on his activities in China.
After the songs, True Father said, “Father can complete work in ten years that would take others a thousand
years.” He said that we must work with a strong providential consciousness. Also, he ordered Rev. Sun Jo
Hwang and Dr. Chang Shik Yang to quickly make a book about the many proclamation assemblies that have
been held so far, putting similar content together.
Rev. Tae Geun Yoon sang the Boat Song while Father added words for emphasis during the song while
sauntering in the center of the hall. After he finished the song, Rev. Yoon reported about a fishing tournament.
Rev. Yong Cheol Song reported about taking European leaders to Japan to protest to politicians about the
illegal kidnapping of Unification Church members there. Next, Rev. Yeong Seok Song reported about the
process of resolving the issue of illegal kidnapping of Unification Church members in Japan.
True Father said that we must hold an assembly of Tribal Messiah and gave Rev. Sun Jo Hwang the
responsibility of preparing the event. He ordered Rev. Peter Kim to pay for event costs. He said that the fight
with existing churches is already over and that we must work centering on the Autobiography.
Next, Father asked each of the following people to sing: Rev. and Mrs. Jeong Og Eu, Vice President Jeong No
Yoon, Rev. Do Soon Lim. Next, Father asked Rev. Sun Jo Hwang to give a report. Rev. Hwang: “True Father
writes calligraphy when beginning a new year or making a providential mark at an important event. Recently, at
Hoon Dok Hwe, Father wrote the calligraphy, ‘Victory in the Proclamation of the Substantial Body and the
Word through the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.’” Rev. Hwang explained
that the words ‘True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind’ best express the identity of True Parents. He
said that we must all become Tribal Messiahs, restore our tribes, and become Boonbongwangs (Peace
Viceroys). If we can do so, then the restoration of the Abel-type tribes will be completed in 2013 and from
then, we will work to restore the Cain-type tribes. He explained that True Father’s words seem to be
coincidental but there are providential truths in them that are truly profound and mysterious.
When Rev. Hwang completed his report, True Father said that he should go out to the world, and explain and
convey this content over and over again. After Rev. Hwang’s prayer, Rev. Yeong Seok Song led everyone in
three cheers of Eogmansei to close the event. 

Celebrations for the 21st 7.1 Jeol and 15th 7.8 Jeol were held at the Cheon Hwa Gung centering on True
Parents, joined by Hyung Jin Nim and Yeon Ah Nim, and other True children, as well as leaders from the world
and local members, which totaled to approximately 100 participants. Prior to this celebration, True Parents
were in Kodiak, Alaska for one week offering Jeong Seong, and came back to Las Vegas on August 3rd. On
August 2nd, Father went to Lake Mead and offered Jeong Seong at the central point of the lake and also visited
the Grand Canyon and other areas to decide holy grounds. Yesterday, Father held Hoon Dok Hae for 14 hours
without having a meal. On that foundation, True Parents held the celebration on 7.7 by the H.C. 

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a very eventful time in God’s providence. A few months ago I celebrated my
ninetieth birthday and took my first steps toward the hundredth year of my life. I have been blessed with a
long life, beyond the average human lifespan. My wife and I arranged for today’s world-level celebration to
commemorate our fiftieth wedding anniversary. From a providential point of view, this year is not simply the
year of our Golden Anniversary; it is also a Jubilee year.
We have fourteen children, of whom five have graduated from Harvard University. Among our forty-plus
grandchildren, several are already studying there. Moreover, a great number of good men and women from
194 nations have come to recognize and follow us as the King and Queen of Peace and the True Parents.
Throughout our lives, we have established many international organizations and institutions to promote world
peace. We have invested unreservedly in many fields including interreligious cooperation, projects to benefit
society, intercultural activities, sports, education and the media, and we have successfully led these initiatives
with the aim of promoting peace and bringing salvation to humanity.
After working to succeed in all these things, people would probably commend us, saying that we deserve to
look back and pleasantly enjoy the rest of our lives with the good wishes of all people. They would probably
encourage us to forget about everything and sit back and enjoy the successes achieved during the past ninety
years!
However, my wife and I cannot look at the lives we have led in such a worldly way. We have had to complete
the mission of the actual True Parents, given to us by God, Who is Himself the vertical True Parent of all
humankind. Now, with three years remaining in this mission to make God’s kingdom, Cheon Il Guk, a reality,
we are leading each day of our lives with more seriousness than ever before.
Throughout my life, I have offered myself for the liberation of God, the one and only True Parent of heaven
and earth, to restore to Him His rightful position as parent, to save all of human beings who suffer in the
realm of death, and to return them to God’s bosom. For this purpose I have persevered and triumphed, alone,
over countless tribulations while leading the people of the world, who are like lost and unaware orphans
searching for their parents, toward the goal of global salvation. Due to the Fall, brought about by our first
ancestors, people are born into the false lineage. Every one without exception wanders in darkness even now,
unable to break free of Satan’s bondage. Under such circumstances, how could my wife and I be anything less
than completely serious in our lives as we show the 6.5 billion people of the world the way along the path
toward the building of God’s kingdom on earth? 

When God created the Garden of Eden, He wanted there to be eternal happiness, but the blessing of Eden
totally disappeared due to the fall of man. Thus, God became a God of sorrow, rather than one of happiness.
He has been trying to regain the country and the entire blessing of the universe while being persecuted by the
country and people. Since God's bitter course throughout history is entangled with human tragedy, His sighs
and His situation are deeply related to you. Since this is the responsibility of humanity and Heaven, in seeking
God, man must know God's sorrow. We can defeat the myriad satans with God's anguish, sorrow and grief.
You must realize that without experiencing such an historical shimjung, you cannot fight against the enemy.
Certainly people agonize over lost property. Some mourn over lost children. Though there are many who
bewail a loss of earthly valuables, there is no one who bewails a loss of the self and of God. Few indeed grieve
over the loss of the self, which cannot be exchanged even for the universe, and of God, who is more glorious
than the universe.
For the seeker of truth, sorrow is not in losing material property. It is in having lost the self and Heaven. The
path of the truth, which is to find God, is the path of finding sorrow. That is why Jesus said, "Follow me with a
cross on your back." Therefore, we can stand before the Father only when our sorrow, anguish and anger can
replace His. The Father's footsteps have been such in the 6,000 years. In order for you who are connected
with the historical providence to make the connection with God, the center of the historical providence, you
must be able to bear such sorrow, agony and grief.
This is the way of Heaven. Although the historical ages are strewn with sorrow, God has been walking this
path to fulfill His will: that is, to find all things, all people, His children and God's own self. God is not operating
fully as God because He lost Heaven and earth through the fall of man. He lost power, dignity and authority.
The movement to restore this is the standard of human norms and the heartistic standard of the seekers of
the truth. By all means, we must regain the lost universe.
The Situation of the Present World and the Task of the Children
What then must I do? I must resolve God's sorrow by restoring myself, my family, my society, my country, the
world and the universe into being acceptable to God. In this way, I should dominate all things with God's
authority and serve God. This is the crucial task you should pursue throughout your life. If you cannot relate
to God this way, you will have nothing to do with God, even when God comes to the world, the country, the
society or the family.
Prayer
Father, we have realized that without the desire to serve and humbly bow down to You, we can have no
relationship with You in the other world of eternity. We long for the day when our heart opens to feel Your
shimjung in our center, so that our body follows our mind as the subject. Please guide us to regain our lost
bodies today by hearing Your voice from the depth of our hearts. Let us realize Your suffering course to find
each of us and humbly bow down to You. Guide us to feel a deep gratitude toward You.
We thought that You, Father, come to us only in glory. In fact, You came in sorrow and suffering, with a face
stricken with misfortune. Since we did not know this, we wanted to lay our sorrow, our sufferings and our
misfortunes upon You. Please forgive us.
We should realize that we are a fallen race who cannot call You Father. You have come through such sorrows
and sighs in history. We should relieve Your burden of 10,000 years. I sincerely pray that no one will be
ignorant of Your path of sorrow.
You have called us today, but do we deserve it? I sincerely pray that those who are gathered here can resolve
Your situation and that their hearts are filled with such matters. Please embrace us at this time. Restore Your
lost grace and remove our sins. I sincerely pray for and desire this.
Father, please take dominion in this service. I am giving a speech today. Do not let the hearts of the giver and
receivers be divided. We know that the one who attacks on this point is not us, but Satan. We do not want
our secular minds to communicate with Satan. Therefore, please guide us to believe in Your will alone. We
repent before You. Do not let us follow this path with a heart different from Yours. If there is such a
heartistic gap, even to a small degree, I pray that we may all work together seriously to overcome it.
Today is a holy day. Bless those who do not yet realize Your will, the pitiful thirty million people of Korea.
Bless Your children everywhere who bow down to You for the sake of the nation on this day. Have mercy on
the people who are screaming and fighting, and broaden their hearts to be able to tolerate and accept one
another.
Now is the time to cry with the earth for the sake of Your situation. I believe You will take those to Your side
who possess Your shimjung. Please forgive our baseness. Please forgive those pitiful people who follow the
enemy while professing to follow Heaven. Please forgive those foolish people who take as enemies those who
are not, in fact, enemies and persecute them. Who can preserve their life? Who will shed light on their path? I
earnestly pray and desire that they can truly receive Your word.
Father! We know Your heart agonizes over the fate of the nation. Father, who worries about the future of the
nation, have pity on this nation, which is cornered all around by the world. Please remember those who are
piling up conditions before You, as representatives of the nation. Guide us to able to plead that the whip of
judgment does not descend upon this nation in the last days. I sincerely pray and desire this.
Now we have realized that we have the responsibility to, first, call upon You and then proceed. If we live, pray
and plead to Heaven, and make You the center of our lives for the sake of this responsibility, we know that
necessarily Your will shall be fulfilled upon the earth. Thus, I eagerly pray that You will place these people in
that position.
Please come and rule over this time. We pray all these words in the name of the Lord. Amen. 

May our beloved Heavenly Parent and True Parents soon be able to take rest from their toils of restoration.
