Should the Army Chief of Staff made the order to rescue saving Private Ryan? Should
the military keep the policy of “Saving Private Ryan” (if there is one)
Should the US have sent Americans on shore on D-Day? Would it have been better to
have waited for a better, less deadly idea to present itself?
Should the men be punished for killing the two guys that were surrendering themselves?
Does it make a difference when/where the enemy surrenders? Should the unit have taken
the German prisoner, shot him, or let him go?
Should a Pacifist be allowed to follow a military unit? Could you be against war and still
use violence in certain circumstances?
Was the Pacifist wrong to shoot the guy? Did he go against his beliefs? Did the Pacifist
give the man a chance, but learn that he was without hope?

Does the Government’s concern for soldiers end when the battle is done? What must be
