NOTICE INVITING TENDER (NIT)
Paradip Port Trust invites offers from the empanelled Architect under IDCO, Govt. of Odisha/
Govt. of India for providing architectural service for “construction of Modern Auditorium of 1000
capacity at Paradip Port” on lump sum basis, in a sealed cover. The participating architect shall
have to deposit 5% (five percent) of the accepted offer value as ISD in shape of Demand Draft/
Bankers’ cheque on any scheduled bank drawn in favour of FA & CAO, PPT or irrecoverable
bank guarantee equivalent to above amount in favour of Chief Engineer, PPT from any
Nationalized Bank. The validity of the Bank Guarantee shall be for a period not less than 2(two)
Years. The price bid will be received on 16.05.2012 upto 1.00 P.M. in the tender box placed in
the office of the Executive Engineer, BC Division / Chief Engineer’s office/ Gate No.IV, Paradip
Port Trust. The offers will be opened on 16.05.2012 at 3.30 P.M. in the office of the Chief
Engineer, PPT. The intending bidders or their authorized representatives may present during
opening of the offers, if he/they so desires.

www.paradipport.gov.in for downloading from 27.04.2012.

The firms shall have to enclose past experience certificate in the similar field & copy of the
empanelled list from the appropriate authority along with their price offer.
The authority reserves the right to reject any or all the offers without assigning any reason
thereof.

SCOPE OF WORK:
The Architect is required to provide service in respect of the followings:-

SCHEDULE OF SERVICE
The Architect shall, after taking instruction from the authority render the following service:-
CONCEPT DESIGN
a) Prepare report on site evaluation, state of existing building, if any and analysis and
impact of existing and/or proposed development on its immediate environments.
b) Furnish report on measures required to be taken to mitigate the adverse impact, if any,
of the existing and/or proposed development on its immediate environs.
WORKING DRAWING AND DESIGN
Preparation of the detail structural drawing and design for construction and supervision of the
works.
Preparation of detail drawing, design for electrical, electronics, communication system, Air
conditioning, Fire protection and security system, etc to ensure a complete functional
auditorium.
CONSTRUCTION STAGE:
i)
The Architect will prepare and issue working drawings and details for proper execution of
the work.
ii) Approve samples of various elements and components for construction.
iii) Visit the site of work, at intervals mutually agreed upon, to inspect and evaluate the
Construction works and where necessary clarify any decision, offer interpretation of
the drawings/specifications, attend conferences and meeting to ensure that the
project proceeds in accordance with the conditions of contract and keep the authority
informed and render advice on actions, if required.
iv) To ensure that the work at site proceeds in accordance with the contract
documents/drawings and to exercise time and quality controls, the day to day
supervision will be carried out by a Construction Manager.
v) Issue certificate for completion of works.
COMPLETION:
i)
Prepare and submit completion reports and drawings for the project as required and
assist the Authority in obtaining “Completion/Occupancy Certificate” from statutory
authorities, wherever required.
ii) Issue two sets of ‘as built’ drawings including services and structures.
