Zig Ziglar Inc.
March 2013 - Present
Intern
• Since Zig’s death in November of 2012 Ziglar Inc. has been facing an era of rebranding. I have been included
in this process to assist with the redevelopment of their social media content and launch of their new website.
• I have also been included in the development of the Ziglar Sales Program Workbook. When completed, the
workbook will stand alone as Ziglar sales training tool.
• Zig Ziglar is one of my mentors because he conducted himself in a manner that was consistent with his
mission. My favorite Zig quote is “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help enough
other people get what they want.”
Orasi Economic Development
March 2012 - June 2012
Intern
• Orasi gave me the opportunity to see how a community can be developed from both business and municipal
prospectives.
• Working directly with Paul Sturiale, who has served as Vice president for Grey Worldwide and as President
of PRSA in DFW, I was able to assist with developing a new marketing plan for Orasi.
• While at Orasi, I also wrote press releases for promotion of vice presidents and new employees, compiled
information for website renovation and expansion, maintained the facebook page, researched relevant
economic development news to share on social media platforms.
Hawaiian Falls Water Parks
May 2011 - Aug 2012
Retail Supervisor (Roanoke)
• At Hawaiian Falls I had the opportunity to take an empty 400 sq. ft. room and create a retail shop to sell ice
cream and Hawaiian Falls merchandise.
• I was responsible for training and scheduling the employees. I also took advantage of my supervisor position
to teach and show the employees about servant leadership.
• By the end of the summer the Roanoke retail shop generated more income than all other Hawaiian Falls retail
shops combined.
Food and Beverage Supervisor (Roanoke)
• Many conflicts arose while working with teenagers in a high-stress environment like a kitchen. I took this
time to practice my conflict resolution skills. I enjoyed solving these conflicts and showing the young
employees that working at Hawaiian Falls is about serving others and not about themselves.
• During the summer the average wait time was decreased by three minutes at the Roanoke kitchen.
