Dear penfriends,
We are Viki Ballester and Jaime Cayuela, we are classmates and friends, our teacher has asked us
to write you so as to get to know each other. We´re 15 years old. We like doing sports, nature,
adventures, art, travelling and listening to all kinds of music except for flamenco, one of the
Andalucía music.
We´re from La Alberca, a small village near Murcia, in Spain. Murcia has some beaches where many
people go because of the good weather all your round. We live next to a mountain and walking
round there is very relaxing.
Last summer we went to the beach and to the Pyrenees. Jaime went to Barcelona with his family
and to the countryside. Victoria went to the Pyrenees and sailed with her friends in La Torre de la
Horadada, a beach resort town a
bout 40 minutes from home .
In our spare time we like meeting our friends, going to the mountain near our town and doing a lot
of sport like cycling , swimming, dancing and sailing.
Last month we were in Italy and France on a school trip and it was a very good experience. We
visited Rome, Florence, Pisa, Paris, Tours and a lot French towns. What we liked the most was Pisa,
because it’s a very beautiful, relaxing and an outstanding city; and the French castles .
How you ever been to Spain ? If not, would you like to come ? What are your hobbies ? Dou you
like sports ? What’s your favorite music style ? When is your prom?

Somos Viki y Jaime, somos compañeros de clase y amigos, nuestra profesora nos ha pedido que os
escribamos para conocernos.
Tenemos 15 años. Nos gusta hacer deporte, la naturaleza, las aventuras, el arte, viajar y escuchar
todos los tipos de música menos el flamenco, uno de los estilos de Andalucía.
Somos de La Alberca, un pequeño pueblo cerca de Murcia, en España. Murcia tiene playas a las que
mucha gente va por el buen tiempo durante todo el año. Vivimos cerca de una montaña y andar por
allí es muy relajante.
El pasado verano fuimos a la playa y a los Pirineos. Jaime fue a Barcelona con su familia y al
campo. Victoria fue a los Pirineos e hizo vela con su amigo en La Torre de la Horadada, un lugar de
vacaciones en la playa a 40 minutos de nuestras casas.
En nuestro tiempo libre nos gusta quedar con nuestros amigos, ir a la montaña cerca de nuestras
casas y hacer muchos deportes como: ciclismo, natación, baile y vela.
El mes pasado estuvimos en Francia y en Italia con el instituto y fue una experiencia muy buena.
Visitamos Florencia, Pisa, Roma, Tours and muchos pueblos franceses. Lo que más nos gustó fue
Pisa porque es una ciudad muy bonita y que destaca, además de los castillos de francia.
¿Habéis estado alguna vez en España? Si no es así, ¿os gustaría venir? ¿Cuáles son vuestros

Hi friend,
We are Irene Garre and Eloy Rivera. We are classmates and we have known each other for three
years.
Now, we are going to talk about our last summer holiday:
- Eloy says: Last summer I travelled a lot. First, I went to Asturias with my family and we went
hiking. Then I went to San Jose (Almeria) and I stayed for four days.
Finally I went to the beach with my friends, and we went to the cinema, we did snorkel and
played basketball.
And that’s all about my summer holiday.

Irene says: Last summer I Travelled a lot too. At first I went to the beach “La Torre”, where I
have a house. Other days I went to others beach, “Torrevieja” and “Mazzarrón” where I have
friends. In August I went to Asturias and I went hiking and climbing.
Also I met with my friends and we went to the cinema, to the beach, shopping and a lot of
things more.
This was my summer

Nosotros somos Irene y Eloy. Somos compañeros de clase y nos conocemos desde hace tres años.
Ahora vamos a hablar sobre nuestras últimas vacaciones de verano.

Eloy dice: el verano pasado viajé mucho. En primer lugar fui a Asturias con mi familia y
fuimos a hacer senderismo. Después fuimos a San José (Almería) y estuvimos allí durante
cuatro días. Finalmente fui a la playa con mis amigos y fuimos al cine, buceamos en el mar y
jugamos al baloncesto.
-
Irene dice: el verano pasado viajé mucho también. Primero fui a la playa “La Torre” donde
tengo una casa. Otros días fui a otras playas como “Torrevieja” y “Mazarrón” donde tengo
amigos. En agosto fui a Asturias y hice senderismo y escalada.
También quede con mis amigos y fuimos al cine, a la playa, a comprar y muchas cosas más.
Este fue mi verano.

Dear friends,
Hi, How is it going?
We are Laura and Pilar. Laura is fifteen years old. She is from Murcia, in the south-east of Spain.
She likes singing and listening to pop and rock music. She also likes videogames. Her favourite
videogames are Just Dance and Pokemon.
Pilar is fifteen years old. She is from Murcia too. She likes doing exercise, football and relaxing at
the beach.
Laura usually goes to the beach for two weeks in summer. She spends her free time on the
Internet, meeting with her friends and going to her grandmother´s. For her, the winter and spring
holidays are both for sudying for the next exams and for relaxing.
Pilar spends the holidays at the beach. She meets with her friends in a square of the village and
goes for a walk.
Last summer, Pilar went to Zaragoza, in the north-east of Spain. She enjoyed with her family there.
On 14th March of this year, Pilar and Laura went to Italy on a school trip. They enjoyed a lot there.
Their favourite places were Florece in general, because it´s so beautiful and the architecture is
spectacular. They also liked the Pantheon in Rome, because it´s very beautiful and it has a lot of
history.

When did you start learning Spanish? Do you think it´s dificult?

Hi, How is it going?
We are Pedro, Fuensanta and Paula. We are fifteen. We are from Murcia, Spain. Murcia´s in the
south-east of Spain. Fuensanta lives in Saint Angel (Santo Angel in Spanish) and Pedro and Paula
NO ESPAÑOL
live in La Alberca. We are 10 minutes by car from Murcia.
Murcia is the capital of our region. It is a city of around 440,000 inhabitants.
The weather in our area is quite warm, between 15ºC in winter and 40ºC in the shadow in summer.
Last summer, it was as hot as usually. Pedro went to England for three weeks, and he spent a very
funny summer. Fuensanta was in Murcia all holiday and she went to the pool and to the beach with
her friends. Paula was at the beach with her family.
Pedro´s birthday is on July, and that day he was in a campground. People gave him a big party. It
was incredible¡.
Fuensanta´s birthday is on June and her friends gave her a party too and bought a nice collective
present.
Paula´s birthday is on December; she celebrated it with her friends in her house. They also bought
a collective present for her and one friend made cupcakes for her.
How do we celebrate birthdays in Spain? Normally, we spend the morning with our family, and we
eat. The birthday give´s or boy´s favourite food for lunch. After eating or when our friend come,
the birthday boy or girl blows out the candles on the cake and make a wish. Then we all eat the
cake and the first piece is for the birthday boy or girl.
We spent the afternoon with our friends and have dinner together. If it is on winter, we hang out in
the town, or go somewhere like a bowling or the cinema. If it´s in summer we can also go to the
pool or the beach. How do you celebrate birthdays?
In mid September, we bought our new books for school. We´re in 4th grade of OSE (Obligatory
Secondary Education) ESO in Spain. And we´re in the science option.
The diference between humanities and science is that we study biology and geology, physics and
chemistry and mathematics option B, and they study music, Latin and mathematics option A. We
also have six common subjects, plus two optional.
We have class from Monday to Friday from 8:25 am to 15:35 pm, with two breaks of 15 and 25
minutes.
What subjects are you studying? What is your school day? Why do you study Spanish? Have you

Hi! My name is Irene Garre. I was born on 3rd March 1998 in Murcia, a small city of Spain. My city,
Murcia is a well-known city but it’s beautiful, Murcia is south-east of Spain,
Murcia is south of Spain and it´s clima and its weather is very warm. In summer I love going to the
beach!
I like my country, but i´d love to travel to the United States of America, it´s a very modern country.
I´d love to have pankakes or goffres for breakfast. When I grow up, I hope to go to California In
Spain there´s plenty of good dishes food. For example, here, in Murcia, we have got "tortilla de
patatas", it´s a scrambled of potatoes, eggs, a little onion and salt, fried in olive oil. It has a round
shape and it´s DELICIOUS!
Sometimes, when I meet whit my friends, we go to restaurant Peggy Sue´s. It´s American food!
Hamburgers, pizzas… Everything´s imported American. It´s so very good, but very expensive too.
I invite you to come to Murcia some day! Would you like to come?

Hola, mi nombre es Irene. Nací el 3 de marzo de 1998 en Murcia,
una pequeña ciudad de
España. Mi cuidad, Murcia no es muy conocida, pero es preciosa.
Murcia está al sur de
España y su clima en invierno y primavera es cálido y agradable. En
verano es muy caluroso. Me encanta ir a la playa.
Me gusta mi pais pero, me encantaria viajar a los Estados Unidos, es un pais muy moderno.
Me encantaria desayunar tortitas y gofres. Cuando sea mayor, espero ir a California. En España
hay una gran variedad de comidas, por ejemplo, aquí, en murcia, tenemos toritilla de patatas, es
una mezcla de patatas, huevos, un poco de cebolla y sal. Su forma es redonda y esta deliciosa.
Algunas veces, cuando salgo con mis amigos, vamos a un restaurante que se llama Peggy Sue´s.
Es un restaurante de comida Americana. Hamburguesas, pizzas… Todo ello es importado de
America. Está muy bueno pero es muy caro.
Te invito a venir a Murcia algun dia! ¿Te gustaría venir?

Hi ! My name is Marina, I´m fifteen years old and I live in a small village called Santo Angel near
Murcia, in the south-eastern of Spain.
I have one brother and his name is Pablo, he is older than me my mothers name is Gloria and she
loves animals, and my fathers name is Manolo, he is a teacher at the University of Murcia.
I study in the Alquibla Secundary High School with all my friends, that is great because I´m with
them the most of the time . My classmate is Angela, one of my bestfriends.
When I´m not at school at the week I´ve a lot of activities, one of my favorites is dance, I have
practised it since I was 3 years, so I have gone to a gym for a year, and into the gym I usually go
to zumba class, sppining or booiaka class. Twice a week I go to the english academy, where i learnt
all my english. I have gone to an academy since I was six years because my parents think that is
very important, and I love learn it.
In my frre time I listen to music and go out with my friends. I love listening to music, above all pop
or alternative rock. My favorites singers are Rihanna and Lana del Rey. When I go out at weekends
I usually stay in my village with my friends but sometimes I go to the down town to do some
shopping.
I think I´m a cheerfull person just because I normally have a smile. I´m shy but only if I don´t
meet a person, when I´m a long time with him/her I´m very talkative. And I love be laughing.
I love traveling, the last year I went to the south of England, in Bournemouth, with my Academy. It
was a wonderfull experience, i met a lot of people and now, they are my friends. I also saw the Big
Bang and The London Eye, and I love it.
I have been in Mexico for two week when I had seven years, and I saw the culture that they have
had a lot of years ago, and that was incredible. I also went to Costa Rica when I had nine years and
there, I met a girl os the United States and I made a friendship with her. I saw a lot of exotic
animals, like huge spiders, monkeys or a lot of kinds of frogs. I would like to come back but I don´t
know when.
And these is a bit of my life.

¡Hola! Mi nombre es Marina , tengo quince años y vivo en un pequeño pueblo llamado Santo Angel
cerca de Murcia , en el sudeste de España .
Tengo un hermano y su nombre es Pablo , él es mayor que yo mi nombre de madres es Gloria y ella

Cuando no estoy en la escuela a la semana tengo un montón de actividades , una de mis favoritas
es la danza , he practicado desde que tenía 3 años, así que he ido a un gimnasio por un año , y en
el gimnasio yo suelo ir a clase de zumba, sppining o clase de booiaka . Dos veces a la semana voy a
la academia de Inglés , donde he aprendido todo mi Inglés . He ido a una academia desde que
tenía seis años, porque mis padres piensan que es muy importante , y me encanta aprender.
En mi tiempo libre escucho música y salir con mis amigos. Me encanta escuchar música , sobre todo
el pop o el rock alternativo. Mis favoritos son los cantantes Rihanna y Lana del Rey . Cuando salgo
los fines de semana que normalmente me alojo en mi pueblo con mis amigos pero a veces voy al
centro de la ciudad para hacer algunas compras .
Creo que soy una persona alegre sólo porque yo normalmente tengo una sonrisa. Soy tímida , pero
sólo si no cumplo con una persona, cuando estoy un largo tiempo con él o ella soy muy habladora .
Y me encanta estar riendo .
Me encanta viajar, el último año que fui al sur de Inglaterra, en Bournemouth, con mi academia .
Fue un experiencia maravilloso, conocí a un montón de gente y ahora , ellos son mis amigos.
También vi el Big Bang y el London Eye, y me encanta. He estado en México durante dos semana,
cuando yo tenía siete años, y vi la cultura que han tenido hace un montón de años, y que era
increíble. También fui a Costa Rica cuando tenía nueve años y que allí, conocí a una niña de los
Estados Unidos y hize amistad con ella. Vi un montón de animales exóticos , como enormes arañas,
monos o una gran cantidad de tipos de ranas. Me gustaría volver, pero no sé cuándo volveré.
Y esto es un poco de mi vida.

Hi! How is it going?
Our names are Alberto and Lucia and we are 15.
We live in Murcia, in a small village in the south-east of Spain called Santo Angel. It’s next to La
Alberca where our school is located. It’s also around half an hour away from the Mediterranean Sea.
We love languages. We study English and French at school, and Italian (Lucia) and German
(Alberto) at the Official School of Languages of Murcia. What languages do you study?
Last summer we went to the seaside. Lucia spend her summer in La Torre de la Horadada,
Alicante. It was great because there were a lots of restaurants, bars, and beach stalls. La Torre is a
resort town whit a lot of young people in summer and holidays. She loved being with her friends
because she can only see them in holidays at the beach.
Alberto went to another beach town called Los Alcázares. The best thing of his summer was that he
was with his family most of the time. They visited a lot of places, including a mine where Spanish
people used to work in the XIX century, and a theatre the was built by the Romans 2000 years ago.

vosotros?
El pasado verano fuimos a la playa. Lucia paso su verano en La Torre de
Alicante. Fue genial porque había una gran cantidad de restaurantes, bares
de playa. La Torre es una ciudad turística con muchos jóvenes en el
vacaciones. Le encantaba estar con sus amigos porque ella sólo puede
vacaciones

Alberto se fue a otra ciudad de playa llamada Los Alcázares. Lo mejor de su verano fue

Hello dear friends,
How is it going? We are Sergio Jiménez Munuera and Daniel Valverde Menasalvas. We are fifteen
years old and we are from Murcia, in Spain. Dani is from Santo Angel and Sergio is from La Alberca.
We both have dark hair and brown eyes. We are good students but also have a lot of hobbies.
Daniel plays basket and Sergio plays football, and we are very good at these sports. Sergio is almost
professional. He plays for Elche’s team, a city in the Valencian Community. We like going to the
cinema and listening to rap and electronic music. We are also fond of computer games.
Now we are going to tell you our last summer:
-Dani’s summer  I started last summer by going to a Summer camp in the Pyrenees Mountains
with my friends for two weeks. We had a really good time there! After that, I went to Istambul with
my mum and my aunt. I enjoyed a lot visiting the mosques and eating kebabs. Finally, I went to La
Torre with my family. La Torre is a nice Mediterranean beach town about forty minutes from La
Alberca, where I love going because I spend the whole day with my friends and I can do almost
whatever I want!
-Sergio’s summer  I started last summer holidays by going to Las Lagunas de Ruidera in Albacete.
I was there for about five days in a campsite. I will never forget the gorgeous landscapes. In July, I
also went to Australia with my family. It is a huge and amazing country! I had a really good time
there. There was an extreme weather there since in the morning, it was very hot but, in the
afternoon, it was very cold.
Finally, I spent all August in my town resting and having fun with some of my friends.

Qué tal todo?
Somos Sergio Jimenez Munuera y Daniel Valverde Menasalvas. Tenemos quince años y somos de
Murcia, España. Dani es de Santo Ángel y Sergio es de La Alberca. Los dos tenemos el pelo oscuro y
los ojos marrones. Daniel juega al baloncesto y Sergio juega al futbol, y se nos dan muy bien.
Sergio es casi profesional. Juega en el equipo de Elche. Nos gusta ir al cine y escuchar rap y música
electrónica. También somos aficionados de los juegos de ordenador.
Ahora os vamos a contar lo que hicimos en el último verano:
-Verano de Dani  Empecé el último verano yendo a un campamento de verano con mis amigos en
los Pirineos durante dos semanas. Nos lo pasamos realmente bien allí!
Después de eso, fui a Estambul con mi madre y mi tía. Disfruté mucho visitando las mezquitas y
comiendo kebabs.
Al final, fui a “La Torre” con mi familia. Es una buena playa del Mediterráneo en Murcia a donde me
encanta ir porque paso el día entero con mis amigos y puedo hacer casi lo que quiera!
-Verano de Sergio  Empecé el último verano yendo a Las Lagunas de Ruidera en Albacete. Estuve
allí unos cinco días en un camping. Nunca olvidaré los maravillosos paisajes.
En julio fui con mi familia a Australia. Es gigante y asombrosa! Me lo pasé muy bien allí. Había un
clima muy extremo allí ya que por la mañana hacía mucho calor pero, por la tarde, hacía bastante
frío.
Pasé todo agosto en mi ciudad descansando y pasándomelo bien con algunos amigos míos.

My name is Luis Zaragoza and I’m from Murcia, a city in the southeast of Spain. I’m 16 years old
and I live in a small village (La Alberca) with my parents, my sister and my two pets: a dog and a
turtle. I’m responsible, funny, extrovert and generous. In my free time I like going out with my
friends, riding my bike and practicing canoeing in “La Manga” beach.
During my summer holiday I rode my bike every day and I went to the beach in August. There, I
usually fished and I did scuba diving.
I’m a faithful fan of the football team of my city: “Real Murcia” and I go each 15 days to their
matches. Also I love another team: “Barça” but it’s very expensive go to see their matches.

Mi nombre es Luis Zaragoza y soy de Murcia, una ciudad en el sudeste de España. Tengo 16 años
y vivo en un pueblo pequeño (La Alberca) con mis padres, mi hermana and mis dos mascotas: un
perro y una tortuga.
Soy responsable, divertido, extrovertido y generoso. En mi tiempo libre me gusta salir con mis
amigos, montar mi bici y practicar piragüismo en la playa de “La Manga”.
Durante mis vacaciones de verano montaba en mi bici todos los días y iba a la playa en Agosto.
Allí, yo solía pescar y hacer buceo.

Hello! My name is Angela, I´m fifteen years old and I live in La Alberca, a small village near
Murcia, in the south east of Spain.I´ve studied in IES Alquibla high school since 2011.
I love doing sport, rhythmic gymnastics is the sport that I like the most but now a day I don´t
practice it, now I´m in a gym, there, I usually do `zumba´, sell defense, spinning…or
something like that.
In my free time I like going out with my friends but in school days I haven´t got enough time
so I only go out with my friends on weekend. I listen to music in my free time too.
I like a lot of types of music like rap, alternative rock and some groups of pop but I can only
say that I´m a completely fan of `Thirty Seconds To Mars´. Another fact of me is that I´m
really into photography, I like taking photos of sports or do photographic portraits.
I think that I´m very cheerful and extroverted person. People say that I´m so talkative too. I´ve
been studying English since I was four and I love it. I would like to live in EEUU or England
in the future.
All people have a dream in their lives and mine is travel to New Zealand. I don´t know why
but I could say that it is in my `things to do before die´ list.
I was in England with an English family two months, I would like to go again because that
was one of the best experiences of my life.
Other thing about me is that I actually love piercings and tattoos. I have four piercing and a
dilatation, in three years I will get my fist tattoo. It will be a jellyfish because is a symbol of
my family including me, I love diving. I´ve dived for three years and I will travel to Bali with
my family to dive there on September. The jellyfish represent me too because maybe I can be
transparent for some things but I could be so dangerous!!.

My name´s Candela. I´m 15 years old. I live with my parents and my little brother in "La Alberca", a
small town near Murcia.
My brother´s name is Antonio, he´s 11 years old. He´s very funny and naughty. When we were
young we always played together and sometimes he slept with me.
My father´s name Antonio. He´s strong and active. He loves the sport. He runs four times a week.
My mother is Belén. She´s kind and clever. She likes the design and the crafts.
I´ve got a dog Her name´s Kala. She´s affectionate and crazy. When she was young she liked to
play whit balls and others toys. She loved to bit the shoes and sometimes she ate our shocks.
I study in the Alquibla High School. All my friends study here. I don´t like all the teachers because
any of them don´t teach very well. My favorite subject is biology.
Every day I go walking to the high school with two friends. We are usually late because we´re too
slow.
I love to go out whit my friends, listen to music or read. I usually listen to pop or rock music. I love to
listen to Imagine Dragons or One Republic. My favorite books are Divergent and The Hunger
Games. When I was young I used to dance ballet, but now I prefer to go to the gym
When I go out with my friends we use to be in la Alberca, but often we go to Murcia for shopping.
That year I´m going to “Rodalquilar”, a small town in “Cabo de Gata”, in the south of Spain. I love the
beaches of Rodalquilar. One of them “El Carnaje”, it´s wonderful. Not a lot of people know the
beach. When I go to the beach I use to dive and always there´re a lot of differents fish. The last year
there was a lot of starfishes. We watched an octopus too.
That´s year I´m going to go to a friend´s house in “Mazarron”. That´s going to be fantastic, because
a lot of friends are there.

porque algunos no explican muy bien.
Todos los días voy andando al instituto con dos amigos. Normalmente llegamos tarde porque
somos muy lentos.
Me encanta salir con mis amigos, escuchar música o leer. Normalmente escucho música pop o
rock. Me encanta escuchar a Imagine Dragons o One Republic. Mis libros favoritos son Divergente
o Los Juegos del Hambre. Cuando era pequeña solía bailar ballet, pero ahora prefiero ir al
gimnasio.
Cuando salgo con mis amigos normalmente nos quedamos en La Alberca, pero a veces nos vamos
a Murcia, la capital, de compras.
Este verano voy a Rodalquilar, un pueblo de Cabo de Gata en el Sur de España. Me encantan las
playas de Rodalquilar. Una de las playas “El Carnaje”, es espectacular. No mucha gente la conoce.
Cuando voy a esa playa suelo bucear y siempre hay un montón de tipos de peces diferentes. El año
pasado había muchas estrellas de mar. También vimos un pulpo.
Este año voy una semana a casa de una amiga en Mazarrón. Va a ser fantastico, porque muchos
amigos están allí también.

Where do you spend your vacations? I normally spend my vacations in my country, Morocco, with my family. Last summer I was also did. We traveled by
ferry. I love the sea, so I'm not going by plane. I visited many places. I would pass very well. I had a great time. We stayed in Northern Morocco. The first
few weeks I was visiting my family. After that my brothers and I visited several cities like Nador. Nador is a city located in the northeast ern, and it is the
major trading center in the region for fish, fruit, and livestock. It is linked to the Spanish city of Melilla –15 km away.
I also spent several days in the cottage of my grandfather, where we have animals. I love to go going there on the weekends. I prefer the countryside and

ghost.But it wasn’t; it was just the person who works at the cemetery closing the doors at a quarter
to eight.We didn't jnow it and we got stuck there. We had to jump over the wall to escape. When we
were at home, María broke a glass of water while she was drinking it. I told her that it had been the
ghost and we laughed a lot.That's the story. Haha! Have you lived a funny story like that?

recibimos muchos regalos como jerseys, camisas, vaqueros, un IPhone 5, etc. Nos divertimos mucho.
El próximo viernes 11 de abril empiezan las vacaciones de pascua. Nosotros celebramos la semana
santa con procesiones y eventos religiosos durante una semana. En Murcia, nosotros tenemos las
fiestas de primavera. Ellas duran otra semana y se llaman 'Bando de la huerta' y 'El entierro de la
sardina'. Hay muchos desfiles y fiestas por todas partes en casa y en las calles. Lo mejor es que no
tenemos instituto y nosotros podemos pasar mucho tiempo juntos o con nuestros amigos.

everywhere at home and in the streets. The best thing is that we haven't got school and we can
spend a lot of time together or with our friends.

I love music and travel. I´ve been to the conservatory for seven years where I play

Italy to baptize my cousin because her mother is from Italy and we could visit Italy,
that is marvellous. I also visited France. Here, in summer is very hot, around 40ºC and

Hi ! My name is Marina, I´m fifteen years old and I live in a small village called Santo Angel near

loves animals, and my fathers name is Manolo, he is a teacher at the University of Murcia.
I study in the Alquibla Secundary High School with all my friends, that is great because I´m with
them the most of the time . My classmate is Angela, one of my bestfriends.
When I´m not at school at the week I´ve a lot of activities, one of my favorites is dance, I have
practised it since I was 3 years, so I have gone to a gym for a year, and into the gym I usually go to
zumba class, sppining or booiaka class. Twice a week I go to the english academy, where i learnt all
my english. I have gone to an academy since I was six years because my parents think that is very
important, and I love learn it.
In my frre time I listen to music and go out with my friends. I love listening to music, above all pop or
alternative rock. My favorites singers are Rihanna and Lana del Rey. When I go out at weekends I
usually stay in my village with my friends but sometimes I go to the down town to do some shopping.
I think I´m a cheerfull person just because I normally have a smile. I´m shy but only if I don´t meet
a person, when I´m a long time with him/her I´m very talkative. And I love be laughing.
I love traveling, the last year I went to the south of England, in Bournemouth, with my Academy. It
was a wonderfull experience, i met a lot of people and now, they are my friends. I also saw the Big
Bang and The London Eye, and I love it.
I have been in Mexico for two week when I had seven years, and I saw the culture that they have
had a lot of years ago, and that was incredible. I also went to Costa Rica when I had nine years and
there, I met a girl os the United States and I made a friendship with her. I saw a lot of exotic
animals, like huge spiders, monkeys or a lot of kinds of frogs. I would like to come back but I don´t
know when.

Creo que soy una persona alegre sólo porque yo normalmente tengo una sonrisa. Soy tímida , pero
sólo si no cumplo con una persona, cuando estoy un largo tiempo con él o ella soy muy habladora . Y
me encanta estar riendo .
Me encanta viajar, el último año que fui al sur de Inglaterra, en Bournemouth, con mi academia . Fue
un experiencia maravilloso, conocí a un montón de gente y ahora , ellos son mis amigos. También vi
el Big Bang y el London Eye, y me encanta. He estado en México durante dos semana, cuando yo
tenía siete años, y vi la cultura que han tenido hace un montón de años, y que era increíble. También
fui a Costa Rica cuando tenía nueve años y que allí, conocí a una niña de los Estados Unidos y hize
amistad con ella. Vi un montón de animales exóticos , como enormes arañas, monos o una gran
cantidad de tipos de ranas. Me gustaría volver, pero no sé cuándo volveré.

Hi !
My name is Julia Martínez Nuñez and I'm sixteen years old. I live in a town called La Alberca in the
Region of Murcia (Spain), Europe. I go to a High school that is in the middle of Huerta de Murcia
(orchards with orange and lemons trees), called Alquibla, in La Alberca. In the Huerta de Murcia is my
father's plum tree: it doesn't have any plum yet. I live with my parents next to the wood with no
river.
I like listening to music, swimming, reading books and English - of course. Do you play any
instrument ?I can play the piano and I'd like to learn to play the Spanish guitar some day. I can't
stand insects and have a cold - I hate it !
Do you like traveling? I have travelled to France, to the Balearics Islands, to the Canary Islands and
all around Spain.
Right now I have Easter holidays and people make processions of saints and if it's raining there's not
processions in the streets and the people cry.

Mi nombre es Julia Martínez Nuñez y tengo 16 años. Vivo en una ciudad llamada La Alberca en la
Región de Murcia (España), Europa. Voy a un instituto que está en el medio de la Huerta Murciana
(huertos con naranjos y limoneros y otros árboles) llamada Alquibla, en La Alberca. En la Huerta
Murciana está el ciruelo de mi padre. No tiene ciruelas todavía. Vivo con mis padres cerca de una
arboleda sin rio.
Me gusta oír música, nadar, leer libros y el Inglés, por supuesto. ¿Tocas algún instrumento? Yo sé
tocar el piano y me gustaría aprender a tocar la guitarra española algún día. Detesto los insectos y
tener catarro. ¡Lo odio!
¿Te gusta viajar? Yo he viajado a Francia, a las Islas Baleares, a las Islas Canarias y por toda España.
Ahora mismo tengo vacaciones de Semana Santa (Pascua) y la gente hace procesiones con santos y
si llueve no hay procesiones por las calles y la gente llora por ello.

I'm very small, I have short, red hair. My eyes are multicolored, but looks like green or blue in light.

Hi, my name is Mercedes del Baño and I have 17 years. I live in a village called La
Alberca. It is a bit small but very nice. What I like most is that is has lots of greenery
and is very near a mountain. My village is separated in two areas: the old town who is
as it where the old part of town and the new area that has been built recently. This is
where I live, in a duplex. I live with my mother, my father, my sister and my dog.
My school is called Alquibla. It is public and a bit small but the education that we
receive is very good and that’s the most important thing.
We have another a house in Sangonera la Verde, about 15 minutes from La Alberca.
We go there and at the weekends. We also have a house in Mazarrón a resort town in
Murcia, where I spend most of the summer because I like the beach better than the
countryside.
I like to go running with my dog in the mountain that is not far relatively close. I also
like to party with my friends, listening to music and watching movies, especially
thrillers.
On weekdays I don’t usually go out because I have to study hard, but I go to Pilates
classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On the weekend, I like to go out with my friends
but on Sundays I usually stay home watching movies, doing homework and studying.

Hola, mi nombre es Mercedes y tengo 17 años. Yo vivo en un pueblo de La Alberca. Es
un poco pequeño, pero muy agradable. Lo que más me gusta es que tiene mucha
vegetación y esta muy cerca del monte. Mi pueblo está separado en dos zonas: el
casco antiguo, que es la parte antigua de la ciudad y la nueva zona que se ha
construido recientemente. Ahí es donde yo vivo, en un dúplex. Vivo con mi madre, mi
padre, mi hermana y mi perro.
Mi escuela se llama Alquibla. Es pública y un poco pequeña, pero la educación que
recibimos es muy buena y eso es lo más importante.
Tenemos otra casa en Sangonera la Verde, a unos 15 minutos de La Alberca. Vamos
allí y los fines de semana. También tenemos una casa en Mazarrón localidad turística
de Murcia, donde paso la mayor parte del verano, porque me gusta la playa más que el
campo.
Me gusta salir a correr con mi perro a la montaña que no está lejos de mi casa.
También me gusta salir de fiesta con mis amigos, escuchar música y ver películas,
especialmente las novelas de suspense.
Los días de semana no suelo salir porque tengo que estudiar mucho, pero voy a clases
de Pilates los martes y jueves. El fin de semana, me gusta salir con mis amigos, pero
los domingos normalmente me quedo en casa viendo películas, haciendo deberes y
estudiando.

I’m Carmen Paredes, known as Little Walls -funny, isn’t it? I’m 15 years old and on 18 September I
will become sixteen.
I have one beautiful sister called Rocio - she is 3 years old and one brother called Miguel who is17
years old. I have a dog called Jaku, too.
I live in a town near Murcia, in the south of Spain. My town is very peacefull with sunshine all year. In
my town live a lot of my friends and family.
When I was younger, my favourite hobbies were singing and drawing. Now I still sing but I also do
horse riding. I love horses.
When I grow up I would like to live in your contry because I love all I know about the USA : your
customs, typical meals, its people...
A city that I like is New York, the city that never sleeps. In my room I have a big sticker that says
'Manhattan' and I have many things about the USA.
Next year, I will go to New York !!!!!!!! with my mum and a friend of hers. I hope that day comes soon.
I am longing for the summer too: vacations, the beach, the sun...
I think the summer is the best season of the year because I don't have school and I can go to the
beach, swimming in the sea, sunbathing with my friends, come late to my home , go to parties and a
lot of things I can’t do the rest of the year.

Murcia has got a lot of beautiful sites but we prefer the beaches resorts –there is nothing
better. The beaches are fabulous, because there are loads of people and many things to do. I
always want to go to the beaches. I LOVE SUMMER!
If you come to Spain, you will like it here. The part of the capital of Murcia is very pretty.
Murcia is a city in the south-east of Spain. It has got a very famous gothic cathedral which it is
called "The cathedral of Murcia". Other tourist attraction is the "Quitapesares", which is next
to a nice sanctuary.
