Jan2013 – May2015 (2.5 years)
Develop Transport / Loading scheduling system for a logistic company in Maccu with about 20 trucks,
30 orders, 150 delivery addresses per day delivery. The system uses XAMPP server with PHP and
mySql. Front end is javascript with angularJS.
Develop Watch specification entry form generation by data for product characteristic definition in
SAP.
The form allows vendor to entry cost break down and specification by clicking the options
instead of input. Data in the Excel will be imported to an Access database to generate an Excel to
upload to SAP and Export for cost analysis.
(#13) Swissam Product Limited (SPL), in house contract consultant
Nov2003 – Dec2012 (9 years)
SPL/MGI: SPL is a HK based merchandising company under Movado Group Incorporation (MGI)
which is public listed in NYSE as MOV. SPL and the Asia regional company use same HK office at Tin
Hau (天后) of total 80+ staff. About 1100 employees and 15 companies worldwide, MGI has 570M+
USD net sales in FY2014. MGI owns 4 brands and licensed 6 brands of watch. Sourcing is mainly
from Swiss and China. Markets are US, Europe and Asia through 3 distinct centers.
BPCS: I was employed by SPL as yearly renewed BPCS consultant in Nov2003 as I was well
experienced BPCS consultant. I supported the company to run BPCS in contract PO, forcast, MRP,
MPS, inventory, sales order, billing cycle, crystal reports (Sales order, PO, inventory reports, BOM, ..)
Working together US IT development team, BPCS was enhanced in sales orders, re-supply orders, EDI
orders, billing, PO printing, etc.
Outside BPCS programs: I developed tool (DTF) to download data from AS400 BPCS database to
Access+Excel VBA programs to generate reports of supply situation (supply vs demand), world wide
inventory projection report, QA booking report, stock age (with chart), forecast vs actual compare
(with chart), MPS result capturing, etc. Most of them were replaced by SAP standard functions or
SAP enhancements.
SAP: The project started in 2007 and lived in 2009. Till 2013, I had 6 years SAP in house supporting
experience. I was a project core team member stayed in New Jersey for half year.
Also there were
3 visits to Swiss office in line up the team Swiss team in using SAP in area of MPS, MRP, sub-contract
purchase orders, production orders and quality control. The SAP project team had 50+ full time
people at peak all gather at New Jersey office. Half of them were external consultants.
My role: learnt SAP, worked under in house supply chain SAP project leader. Together with external
SAP consultants, in house US IT team, power user to seek for SAP standard functions or propose
enhancements to fulfill most of business requirements. I involved in implementation, document,
test, issue resolve, conduct training, user support in area of mainly supply chain, minor in
distribution and little accounting.

ABAP/SAP-Db/BAPI: Although it is not a requirement, I can read and debugger ABAP. I can use
SE38 to browse program/report/function-module source, SE16 for file structure and data, table
DD02, DD04, etc, for data dictionary. This capability allowed me to propose or discuss with the
development team to find out a better techincal approach or solution if enhancement delivered is
facing issues.
My development: QPS form, Quotation-Product-Specification form. SPL Engineering users define
what material charactertistics fields are required to be filled up by vendor.
Download
charactertistics values from SAP, my program generates the QPS form, an Excel file, for vendor to
enter the watch specification by choosing (not fill in). The form includes cost break down. It will
be used by MDM to upload the characteristic to SAP. Cost control team import to an Access
database, which will be used to generate the cost analysis report. This is still in production. One
enhacement had done. Now is in discussing the second enhancement.

Hennessy is a France base wine whole seller in HK under the group of LVMH.
I was engaged as
contract consultant again in developing Advertising & Promotion Spending Monitoring System using
MS Access connecting BPCS Database in AS/400 through ODBC.
(#11) Commerce One, software vendor consultant
Jun2000 – Feb2003 (2 years and 7 months)
I was worked as business-to-business eCommerce consultant in Commerce One, which was a US
eCommerce solution provider in Microsoft NT 4.0 / 2000 & Solaris platform using IIS/ASP/VB6,
JRun/JSP/Java1.3. My job needed on-site installing, implementation, supporting and customization
for clients in HK: Asia2B, China: ChinaEB; Taiwan: Com2B, Korea: GTKWeb, Japan: Central Japan
Railway, Japan Railway East, Unisys and NTT. I was a member of 5 persons of project in customizing
the system for Japan Rail East. PO coming from JRE mainframe went into Commerce One system
through the enhanced inteface program. By the standard features of Commerce One system, more
than 250 JRE vendors used browser to obtain the PO, confirm or reschedule.
I had stayed in Japan
for half year for this project. Leaving the company due to office shut down in Asia.
(#10) Hennessy, Contract Consultant
Feb-Jun2000 (4 months contract)
I was a contract consultant for this France base wine whole seller in HK. It used AS/400 BPCS 6.0
with about 25 users. I developed reports and month end processing programs using Query/400,
RPG/400, Excel and Access. Data was from AS/400 and user input in Access. Processes were done
in Access. Reports were presented in Excel. Application included Corporate P&L, B/S, Sales, Stock,
A&P (In Excel), sales rebate, A&P monitoring, warehouse cost allocation, A/R Aging, G/L and sub
ledger reconciliation report for Sales, COGS and Stock, enhance in-house developed budgeting
program.
(#9) MAN Roland (HK) Ltd, contract project manager
Jul99-Feb2000 (8 months contract)
MAN Roland is regional HK office of Germany based printing machine manufacturing from small
feeder printing to large as newspaper.
I was a contract project manager of team in this company
with little external consulting from SystemPro and one contract programmer. There were 30 JDE
A7.3 (AS/400 version) users in HK and would be 10 users in Taiwan. It was 8 months of two phrases.
Phrase 1 (Jul-Nov99): A6.2 single byte to A7.3 double byte migration, Chart of Account restructure,
change starting period of financial year, Implement inter-department billing, Service Jobs billing.
Go live in 1st Oct., 1999. AS/400 has 27G hardisk storage.
Phrase 2 (Nov99-Feb2000): Implement new site of Taiwan branch office. The project was migrating
Taiwan PC system to AS/400 JDE, which was running in HK through a lease line.
(#8) PBM (HK) Ltd, MIS manager
Jun96-May99 (3 years)
I joined PBM again as MIS manager. It was a subsidiary of 2 Swiss brands of luxury watches of 40
employees in HK using BPCS. In 1999, it was acquired by Cartier.
Following projects had been
implemented:

Migrate BPCS/400 version 3.0 to NSI (Pairs developed in-house package for distribution) and
JDE account version 7.3 due to year 2000 issue

Automate the BPCS sales analysis database downloading and formatting in Excel to produce 10
marketing reports for each brand for marketing department.

Stock, sales, back order, open PO download and format in Excel to produce “open to buy”
report for merchandising department.

MS-mail & internet mail gateway server installation

Window NT server installation

Customer consignment stock handling, BPCS.

Sales and purchase interface to RUBIS, a PBM group-wise reporting package by Query400 and

(#7) System Software Association (SSA), application consultant
Mar94-Jul96 (2 years and 5 months)
I was an application consultant in HK office of 30 head counts of this USA based ERP software vendor.
SSA developed first BPCS in IBM S/36 in 1982. My job was providing consulting services included
installation, conduct education, requirement study, prototyping, enhancement design, coding,
testing and hotline support. I was awarded as “Year of the consultant – 1995”.
PROJECT IN CHARED
1. RCR Electronic Manufacture using full set modules of accounting, distribution and manufacturing
 The project was 200 man days as primary single consultants with little modification lived within
9 months. The client had 100 employees in HK and 3,000 in Southern China. My role was
providing standard implementing services of installation, conduct education, requirement
study, analysis, recommendation, prototyping, documentation and modification.
2. Sony HK using BPCS AR and distribution and SAP GL and AP
 The project was 250 man days in 3.5 months at peak of 6 consultants. The clients had 200
invoices per days to all HK retail shop for Sony products.
 After the live run, another 120 man day of interfacing from BPCS to SAP. The project single
consultant in 4 months.

(#6) PBM (HK) Ltd, MIS officer
Oct93-Mar94, (5 months)
PBM was a watch whole seller of two brands, Piaget and Baume & Mercier. It used BPCS 2.0
distribution and accounting. Projects developed:
 Aging reports and statement in PC foxpro3.0 with data from BPCS.
 BPCS Version upgrade 2.0 to 3.0
 Implement RUBIS, France PC database software used by head office as financial reporting
system.
 Re-distribute credit note (3% of invoice) to product line in sales analysis.
Leading the company was due to SSA BPCS consultant was offered.
(#5) Wing Kueng Medicine / Chung Nam Watch, independent programmer, (AR + price book /
watch)
Dec92-Oct93 (10 months)
I was worked on 2 PC LAN projects using DOS Foxpro2.0 for Chung Nam Watch Co., Ltd. and a
consumer product whole seller. The first project had 2 sites linked with 64K leased line to total 50
PC. The application was inventory, purchase order, production control. It had 10 to 50 PO per day.
All programs can displayed & printed both in Chinese and English. The second project was A/R
system and price book: 5 PC of 1,200 customers, 10 salesman, 50 payments and 150 invoices per
day.
(#4) Commercial Software Services Ltd (CSSL), consultant
Jul90-Dec92 (2 years and 6 months)
I was a senior consultant in CSSL.
It was a HK agent of SSA’s BPCS. My job was working as a team
of 7 technical staffs to provide service to client after buying BPCS/400, a 26 modules package running
in IBM AS/400. Services include installation, conduct education, modification requirement study,
design, coding (RPG, Query, etc.), testing, implementation and hotline support. A new package
ASW from Sweden was introduced to Hong Kong. I also worked on this package.
PROJECT IN CHARGED
1. Sharp Roxy (HK) Ltd (On-site support)
It was the first client handled by me in CSSL. Two man-months within half year been spent in
bugs fixing. All bugs were occasionally occurring. One of them is serious, whole batch of
invoices doubled or even tripled posted to AR due to a logical file (LF) was created based on all
member invoice. At the BPCS AR posting, an in-house query was sometime was running.
This led to the program was not able to clear the last day posted invoice and the last day
invoices are posted again. The solution is to change in-house LF to base on the main member,
not all members.
2. Ciba Geigy (Sales commission/discount/rebate month end process)
It was a 27 man days project, completed by me. I did the study, design, coding & testing.
Ciba Geigy is international chemical manufacturer
3. Epson HK Ltd (Accounting and Distribution)
It was a 500 man days. I was the project leader of financial area. The study period was more
than 7 months handled by me and another consultant. The programming period was 4
months by 10 consultants. The parallel took more than 6 months.
4. RP, a France medical project sales office in HK (Interface from BPCS to INSIGHT)
It was a 50 man-days project. The requirement was sending interface journals from BPCS
distribution modules to INSIGHT accounting modules.
5. PBM (On-site support)
One month of on-site supporting after implementation of BPCS accounting and distribution
6. Hasbro Bradley Far East Ltd (Accounting enhancement)
It was an 84 man-day one man project. Enable batch editing and posting. Hasbro is famous
company in toy industry.
7. Component Agent Ltd (Accounting and distribution, ASW)
It is a project of modifying ASW of 95 man days. I did the requirement study and half of the
coding.
Leaving of the CSSL was due to I would like to develop an own-written accounting software
package.
(#3) CIM System Ltd, system analysis
Jun89–Jul90 (1 year and 1 month)
I worked as system analysis. CIM was a software house with 20 staffs in HK and a software factory
with 100 China University graduated programmers in Shekou.
SYSTEM DEVELOPED
1. Material Requirement Planning System Maintenance in FoxBASE.
2. PABX pricing system in FoxBASE
3. Enhance IMAS/400 package running in IBM/400 to handle multi-currency.
(#2) Cogitate Computer System (CCS), programmer-assistant system manager
83-89 (5 years and 6 months)
CCS was IBM China system dealer & re-marketer for China market of about 20 staff in HK and Beijing.
Computers selling were IBM XT, AT, PS/2, S/36, AS/400 and Plan4000 (file server). My job was
providing product support, system installation, customer training & system development. I had
attended 8 IBM AS/400 training courses of total 24 days when IBM introduced AS/400 to China since
1989.
SYSTEM DEVELOPED
1. Beijing Hotel front end management system
The hardware was 15 XT, 2 Plan4000 of 60Mbytes each, 10 on-line cash registers. The
software was CCDOS2.0 (Enhanced DOS with Chinese character), IBM BASICA, BASIC compiler
2.0 & cDbase3. The system was developed by 7 persons in 2 years. My module was long
distance call billing system. One PC was connected the PABX RS232 port capturing call records
and to post the room charge ledger. Another PC allowed user keying the manual connected
long distance calling records. The hotel had 1200 rooms.
2. Zhouhai city long distance call billing system
I developed it in 1 IBM AT for 4 months in BASIC and SortMerge. The calling records were
on-line recorded on reel tape. Through PABX console command and RS232, calling records
were sent to AT in 9600 baud rate. The software sorts calling records of same user and print
invoices.
3. Food & Oil import & export (Account & Shipment System)
The system was in 6 AT, one of them was server using AT LAN program. It was developed by 4
persons for 6 months using CCDOS2.0, Turbo Pascal 3.0 & CC-Lotus 1.0. My part is account
system design & system testing.
4. Chinese printer driver for 16x16, 24x24, 32x32 fonts
It was written by myself alone in 8088 assembler in 3 months. The printer driver was used to
together with CCDOS and delivered to a China customer buying more than 50 Epson 24 pins
printer in one orders.
5. Five S/36 D-Model installation & connection
Two persons took two weeks to setup 5 S/36 by using PASSTHRU, DDM & APPN at Shen Yang
Power Supply Bureau.
6. Shenzhen Tax management system
Four persons took one year to finish the system in AS/400 B10 of RPG/400 and SQL/400. My
role was system study.
(#1) Able, Zenith, Hunter, Data Solution, 4 computer shops, PC sales and programmer
81-83 (2 years)
I had worked for 4 computer shops sales support and programmer within 2 years. Computer selling
were NEC8001, 8801, 9801, Fujisu FM8, FM11, AppleII, Radio Shack model 1, 2, 3 and 12. The first
computer shop was called Able Computer.
SYSTEM DEVELOPED
1. Carton box manufacturing system
It was in Apple II, CP/M80, Basic80 developed in 2 months. It was used by one customer in
Kwun Tong prepare sales orders, print invoices and statements.
2. Garment payroll system
It was in Apple II, CP/M80, Basic80. It was developed in 3 months and used by 10 garment
factories. Employee name can be printed Chinese. The routine was written in BASIC.
