The following diagram illustrates the “Main Menu” from Reilly’s Q&A CD. Results from an 80 question exam designed from the “Build Your Own Exam” link will identify areas in need of improvement. Students are encouraged to continue to use the “build your own exams” on those areas identified as weak from their results reported for the initial 80 plus exam with all topics included. Also see Q&A Illustration – 2 (Build Your Own Exam) on the following page. Q&A by Reilly Illustration – 1 Main Menu Note: Salesperson exam questions tend to test students’ understanding of real estate terms and definitions where as broker exam questions test salespersons’ abilities to apply their knowledge to real estate related cases. Brokers need to have a higher level of understanding of the basics in order to work through more complex problem solving type questions. Q&A Illustration – 2 (Build Your Own Exam) Linked from Q&A by Reilly Main Menu as shown in Q&A Illustration - 1 Be sure to include all Topics and set the Length of Exam to 80 Questions (Minimum). You may also want to increase the amount of time in the “Time Limit” box. Put as much time as you need to complete the 80 questions “build your own exam”. Note: You will need to scroll down on the left side of “Include Topics” to see all available topics. Put an “x” in each box along side the topics. This will direct the program to design an 80 question quiz with all topics included. Your results will be reported on the report page linked from the main menu (see Illustration -1). Be sure to review your results at the end of the exam for feedback on those questions incorrectly answered. Initial scores may be lower than you expect. This software is used to identify your weak areas so tends to be more difficult than the MREP text book. (Call or send an email for help if this does not make sense). The above diagrams may slightly differ from earlier versions of Reilly’s CDRom titled “Q&A to help you pass the RE exam”. These sample illustrations were obtained from the 7th edition.
