Precalculus Function/Conics Extra Credit Picture Project 2015
Lewandowski
This individual project requires you to graph a picture using a minimum of 15 different
equations, including the domain and range of each. The equations used in the picture need to
include at least one of each of the following types of functions:

line

logarithmic

absolute value

rational function

parabola

circle

cubic

ellipse

square root

hyperbola

exponential

sine or cosine
If your picture includes additional equations other than those required, graph the required
equations in bold, so they are able to be distinguished from the rest. The equation for each
required equation, along with its domain and range (placement in your picture) must be
included on a separate sheet of paper. Your project must include:
 A separate sheet of equations and restrictions (where the graph appears on your picture).
 Each equation labeled with its location in the picture.
 A graph of the picture on poster board or graphing poster board.
 A title (no equations required for the title).
 Your poster is colored.
Your project will be graded on the following basis (see point sheet for details):

At least 15 different equations are used in the picture

At least one of each type of the equations listed above is used

Each equation includes placement (domain and range in your picture)

Equation/restrictions/locations page is neat and organized

Location of equations are noted so they can be found in the picture

Each equation is graphed correctly

Graphs and picture are neat.

Originality. Your creation must be your own idea.
DUE DATE: April 30th
NO LATE PROJECTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
This project is worth a maximum of 30 test points.
