Biography - Dr. Bahaudin G. Mujtaba Dr. Bahaudin G. Mujtaba is an Associate Professor of Management, Human Resources Management, and International Management. Bahaudin has been serving as an Assistant Professor of Human Resources and International Management at the Huizenga School since 2002. Bahaudin had originally joined Nova Southeastern University in 1996 as an Adjunct Professor of Management, International Management and Human Resources Management at the Graduate Business Programs for the School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Bahaudin was awarded the prestigious annual “Faculty of the Year Award” for the 2005 Academic Year at Nova Southeastern University’s H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship. Each year, one faculty is honored with this great award for his or her contributions to the university, contributions to his or her field of teaching specialty, and for scholarship in the areas of management, entrepreneurship and leadership. In the years 2003-2005, Bahaudin was the Director of Institutional Relations, Planning, and Accreditation for Nova Southeastern University at the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship in Fort Lauder, Florida. As a director, he was responsible for the planning of accreditation reviews for all Huizenga School’s academic programs in all locations throughout United States of America and abroad. In administrator and faculty capacities since 1996 in academia, Bahaudin has prepared for and worked with the requirements of Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), North Central Association (NCA) / Higher Learning Commission (HLC), and the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ). Bahaudin was appointed as the Director of Business Department for Undergraduate Studies at the Farquhar Center of NSU in the year 2002. As an academic Director, he was responsible for the operation of Undergraduate Business Programs. Bahaudin has been a speaker for ‘The Caribbean Area Network for Quality Assurance in Tertiary Education” (CANQATE) in Jamaica, IACBE (USA), and the Association for Tertiary Institutions in the Bahamas (ATIB) in the Nassau, Bahamas. Prior to joining NSU on full-time basis, Bahaudin was Campus College Chair for the College of Graduate Business and Management at the University of Phoenix - Tampa Campus. In the year 2000, he accepted a full time position as College Chair for the Undergraduate College of Business and Management at Tampa for University of Phoenix. Later that year, Bahaudin accepted the position of Campus College Chair for the College of Graduate Business and Management with the University. He also helped University of Phoenix in the design, development and delivery of graduate management classes and overall curriculum in the years 2000 to 2002. As a consultant, he coaches, trains, educates, and develops managers. In his capacity as a consultant and trainer, Bahaudin has worked with various firms in the areas of management, cross-cultural communication, customer value/service, and diversity training. Normally, he helps firms begin a management-training program or class, trains the trainers to carry the program on their own, and then leaves them alone unless they need further assistance. Bahaudin is a certified Cultural Diversity trainer through the National Multi-Cultural Institute (NMCI) which is based out of Washington DC. He has been involved in diversity education and awareness since the late 1980s. Academically, Bahaudin has been teaching regular MBA classes, MIBA, MBA/HR and eMBA (online classes) nationally and internationally. Bahaudin’s undergraduate and MBA degrees are in Business Administration with Management as a major and Information Systems as a minor. His doctorate degree is in Management and he completed his dissertation research on the topic of business ethics in management. He has two post-doctorate specialties; one in Human Resource Management and another in International Management. He has written, presented and published nearly twenty articles (in the areas of change, culture, ethics, diversity, etc.) in academic conferences, textbooks and journals. Bahaudin has authored and co-authored four different books in the areas of leadership, adult education and workforce development in Afghanistan. His current research and writing interests are in the areas of customer value/service, international management, and diversity management. He has been listed in the various publications of Who's Who in America, Who’s Who in American Education, Who's Who in Management, and Who's Who in the World. Bahaudin worked as a manager, an Internal Consultant, Trainer, and Teacher at the Education and Training Development Department of Human Resources with Publix Super Markets Inc. for sixteen years. Bahaudin has been a speaker on conferences in the United States of America, Brazil, Jamaica, The Grand Bahamas, and by professional organizations such as the Society of Afghan Engineers (SAE) in their annual international conferences. On December 16-18, 2005, Bahaudin traveled to Kabul, Afghanistan, for three weeks to serve as the Conference Chair for the annual international conference jointly held by the Society of Afghan Engineers (SAE) and the Society of Afghan Architects and Engineers (SAAE) at the Kabul University.
