Los proyectos de Voki Estudiantes, You are going to make a Voki, which is a cartoon representation of you that allows you to record one minute of speaking (in Spanish!) !Que chévere! Spanish 1- your voki will be a digital representation of yourself. Spanish 2- your voki can be whoever you want to be. Requirements: 1. Make a Voki (instructions below) at http://www.voki.com 2. Record one minute of Spanish that contains the following grammatical and vocabulary areas: Spanish 1: Introduce yourself with your name, where you are from, and what you like and don’t like to do (“me gusta _____” and “no me gusta ____”) Use the vocabulary from Spanish 1 that we have seen so far this school year (ex. numbers, classroom, time, family, clothing, gustarse, adjectives, nunbers). Use the verbs we have been studying as well (ser, tener, patinar, nadar, comer, leer, escribir)! Spanish 2: Create a person of your choosing. You can choose to be yourself, to be someone famous or just someone different. Introduce yourself with your name and where you are from, likes & dislikes about school/classes/job/life – use atleast two present progressive verbs estar + iendo, ando) and one future verb (ir+a +infinitive). Use the vocabulary from Spanish 2 that we have seen so far this school year to help you (ex. weather, transportation, house, numbers, food). All students: The challenge will be to fit all the Spanish requirements into your oneminute of speaking. For that reason, you’ll write a script that you will turn-in to me, but the script will allow you to ensure all grammar and vocabulary areas are represented. Plus, it’s easier to record your voice while reading from a script than from just thinking about what to say. Your project will be evaluated by a rubric that you will receive in class, but the general areas to think about are the following: Script: Grammar areas covered? Vocabulary areas covered? No mistakes in grammar and/or spelling and conventions? Voki: Have I created the appropriate Voki? Your voice is audible and easy to understand? (Don’t talk too fast!) Good Spanish pronunciation? Now, the one area of confusion will most-likely be “how can I get all of the grammar and vocabulary (and for Spanish 2 the advanced verb forms) into only one minute of speaking?” The answer is spending time in planning what you’ll say. For example Spanish 2, if you say what you will do in the future, you have just used ir+a+infinitive! Here’s our project schedule: Class Period One: Intro to project & Voki-creation on the laptop computers. “La tarea”: Write a draft of your one-minute script Class Period Two, Three: Submit your script to Señora. M for checking and then correct areas highlighted by Señora. M. “La tarea”: Practice reading your script aloud.
