The Awards Committee of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber is seeking your nomination for the
2015 Pride of Place Awards to be presented at the Annual Awards Luncheon on September 22, 2015. By filling out
and mailing the nomination form, you will be honoring a business, industry, or organization that has improved the
physical environment we share. The Awards are sponsored by Geisinger and Geisinger Health Plan.
Take a moment to send us your nominations today and show your PRIDE in our community! Nominations are due
by July 15, 2015.
STATEMENT OF INTENT FOR THE PRIDE OF PLACE AWARDS
PURPOSE: To recognize and honor businesses, industries, and organizations that have improved the physical
environment of the Greater Wilkes-Barre area.
NOMINATION CRITERIA: The general public is encouraged to submit nominations for awards in one or all of the
applicable categories. A business, industry, or organization must receive at least one nomination to be considered.
All nominees must be Chamber Members. All projects must have been completed in the last five years. Previous
nominees, who did not win an award, can be resubmitted.
CATEGORIES: The following are the award categories open for public nomination:
New Construction: A building or complex recently designed from the ground up. Recent Winners: 2014 - Mohegan Sun Hotel –

Restoration/Renovation/Remodeling: An existing structure that has had its external surface improved,
