Your job, as an author, is to write and publish a fractured fairy tale in format of a digital storybook. TASKS Before you begin, remember: All tasks should be related and build upon one another. You will then complete another graphic organizer, identifying the same elements from the alternative version. As you read, check off the elements of a fairytale that are present in the selection on the “Elements of a Fairytale Chart.” Complete the original version column on the graphic organizer, describing the fairy tale you read. Step 2: Using what you know about the seven elements of a fairytale, brainstorm ideas to create a different version of the fairy tale you have just read. Complete the “My Fractured Version” column of the graphic organizer to gather your thoughts and begin your writing process. Step 3: Use the writing process to draft the fractured fairy tale.
