 Masters of Science in Management (MS MGT, equivalent to MBA), 1971-1972, I focused on how trends in computer-based information systems would
affect operations of complex organizations. In particular, I investigated how the emerging "Electronic Medical Record" would affect the effectiveness,
efficiency and quality of healthcare delivery systems.
 Doctoral Studies (incomplete), 1971-1973, completed all course work towards a PhD in Health Care Delivery Information Systems Design. In 1972 I spent
a year in the Albany Medical Center Hospital exploring how the "then new" concept of “local area networking” would affect the management of patient
records and the delivery of medical services. From 1993-1995 as COO at Wellmark, Inc. Westlake Village, CA, I was able to implement some of the
concepts and techniques developed during my PhD studies as I managed the operation and enhancement of healthcare claims processing systems integration
at 60 hospitals in California and New York.
 Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE), 1970-1971, implemented a Computer Aided Instruction (CAI) prototype involving the use of
artificial intelligence, expert systems, and deductive logic techniques to enhance the user experience and improve training effectiveness.
