Presuming students’ competence, collaborative teaming, and creative instruction and supports are the keys to successful
inclusion of students with autism and related developmental disabilities. This workshop will define and illustrate best
practices; provide numerous examples of elementary, middle, and high school students; and provide participants with tools
for instructional planning and decision-making through the use of PowerPoint, video, and interactive learning activities.
Learner Objectives:
1. Understand key components to successful inclusion of students with autism and related disabilities
2. Learn strategies to promote successful inclusion for all students elementary through high school
3. Learn tools to use for instructional planning and decision-making to help promote successful inclusion
experiences for students with autism and related disabilities
Target Audience: General and special education teachers, administrators, related service professionals, parents,
paraprofessionals
DIRECTIONS FROM I-75: Exit I-75 at SR 200 in Ocala. Go East on SR 200 for 1 mile and turn left into the main entrance of
CFCC (SW 26th St). Follow SW 26th St. towards the right past Buildings 1-4. The Webber Center will be on your left after
