Just as the “hit” of the show “Cirque du Soleil” in the US, the large-scale dance drama "Dynamic Yunnan", dynamically incorporated traditional beauty and modern flavors with a reintegration of the most original and rustic dance elements of Yunnan, has been an outstanding innovation on the Chinese stage in recent years. I was deeply touched by the innate flavor of the dancing and singing of these ethnic people, so I began to pay attention to its development. To my surprise, the show has been a huge success at home and abroad: Dynamic Yunnan and its series of sub-brands promote the cultural industry in the province by 6% of total GDP. This is how I initially came to realize that cultural as a product could improve the public cultural cultivation and cultural ethics, promote city development and market prosperity and ease the pressure of unemployment. Since then, I began to read books and papers about this newly-booming industry. From Prof. Richard Florida’s "The Rise of the Creative Class", I get the theory that cities which attract gays, bohemians, and ethnic minorities are the new economic powerhouses because they are also the places where creative workers. To lure this workforce, cities should promote cultural amenities and pursue progressive social legislation. From 这里还要加上正在阅 读的一本书的总结 In my second year of university, due to my academic excellence and English proficiency, my department awarded me an opportunity to further study Creative Industry in Danish International Institute Affiliated with University of Copenhagen .With the study of the course Creative Industries: Business, Innovation, Politics & Culture, I learned that creativity, innovation and culture are important factors for the competitiveness of not only companies, but also for nations and regions, particularly as we move from goods and service economies to “experience” economies”. To explore the links between culture, business, society and politics by analyzing business cases, trends in society, and political initiatives, I did SWOT analysis and proposed suggestion for a Danish musical house VEGA, and a T-shirt design company HisBasicWare. I get to know where society, business, consumers are going in the experience economy and how culture and business can collaborate and on the arts and how it shapes business. By integrating the theory of “2nd Generation Experience Economy” and “Co-creation”, I made the case study of the amusement park Tivoli by investigating how factors such as theme(s), harmonization impression with positive cues, elimination of negative cues, mix in memorabilia, and the engagement all five senses contribute to its success. However, during my internship in XXX, I found that cultural product as a mixed-blessing still has certain complex problems to solve before we can fully obtain its merits. The issues such as uncertain demand, diverse skills required, infinite variety of product differentiation, vertically differentiated skills, and most importantly, threat on IPR issues are all critical related to the development of the industry. Creative products can often be digitalised and distributed in the same quality as the original. When reproduced there is often no harm done to the owners.Creative and cultural products often have a high level of “symbolic” or intangible value, making it easy to make money of copies. Those problems have hovered in my mind and prompted me to dig deeper and go further in this direction. Thus, I feel eagerly to learn….下面应该讲学校的具体项目了。我还没做完 school research。之后补上。 之后的一段是对未来的展望。 .In recent decades, with the booming of economy and the prevailing of popular culture, China has developed a growing market for cultural product. My hometown Yunnan is blessed by its mixture of traditional folk cultures. Various cultural and religious activities are practiced by 26 ethnic minorities, which, in my perspective, obtains a great potential and rich resource to develop its cultural industry. “Dynamic Yunnan is a perfect case to illustrate my point. I always think that besides contribute to profits growth, a qualified manager should also aware the social responsibility of the company. For my part, in the past I worked voluntarily as interpreter, NOC assistant and social worker in DK. However, what I did was too small to count .Perhaps it is a cliché to say that one person can change the world, but I do hope that in the future I can make my bit to promote the distinct culture in the ethnical minority regions so that not only the region can be financially benefited but also their culture could in turn be well-preserved. .
