COURSE DESCRIPTION The purpose of this 7 session training course is to review and overview the psychiatric rehabilitation practitioner knowledge and skills that underlie the seven domains of the USPRA Role Delineation Study (RDS). The primary goal is to prepare participants to take the Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practice (CPRP) exam. Beginning with an in-depth description of the core principles of psychiatric rehabilitation, each of the tasks within each of the seven performance domains documented by the RDS will be described and discussed. Practice test questions representing each domain will be incorporated into the five training sessions. Assigned readings from the CPRP practice tests, as well as other key sources from the field of psychiatric rehabilitation will support and supplement the course material, with the goal of preparing participants to increase their awareness of the range of knowledge and skills necessary to achieve the CPRP credential.
