Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline and have a well-established research record with strong collaborations with national laboratories, governmental agencies (DOE, NSF, etc.) and/or industry. In particular, we are looking for a highly-qualified individual that will have an immediate and significant impact on the Energy Engineering programs at UMass Lowell. A broad range of interests within the energy/power engineering discipline will be considered, including alternative energy sources, battery research, power electronics, smart power grids, etc. Research and teaching that would make use of the facilities in the UMass-Lowell Power and alternative Energy Lab is highly desirable. The successful candidate will contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching, and service. The candidate will be expected to contribute to teaching in both our undergraduate and graduate programs and to developing a strong externally-funded research program. A highly qualified candidate with an exceptional record of teaching and funded research will be considered for appointment at the associate or full professor level.
