Description of the seminar
The subjects of interest within this seminar are related to global sourcing, its origins and the
opportunities and risks that are associated with the use of this strategy. Subjects of students'
interests can also constitute particular forms of relocation (global sourcing), these are: in-house
sourcing, offshoring, outsourcing and offshore outsourcing. Finally, within the seminar students
may investigate relations of global sourcing and relocations with enterprise competitiveness. The
mentioned above issues can be analyzed as well from a global (world) and macro (country)
perspectives, as be analyzed from a microeconomic perspective of an enterprise. The scope of
the research area may also involve a various perspectives of global sourcing users, as it may
concern as well suppliers/vendors as buyers.
