Cast Aluminum Industries is an aluminium recycling, non ferrous jobbing foundry, and cast aluminium &
wrought iron fabrication facility. It features in top five casting and fabrication facilities in UAE and it has
monopolized aluminium dross recycling division.
Upon my joining the company’s products include aluminium and wrought iron architectural designs for the
construction and interior decorative industry. The quality raw material for aluminium alloy making was
sourced from Dubai Aluminium Company ( Dubal), the only aluminium primary smelter in UAE. CAI was
one of the buyers the major chunk was being processed in Bahrain by Aluserve, a part of Hecket Multiserve
multinational Norwegian group on tolling basis. As a Team member in making a presentation to our
Chairman about the opportunity of processing the dross generated from Dubal highlighting the potential
savings Dubal can make in transportation and contribution to the local economy if processed in Dubai. The
same presentation with added feature of the advanced oxyfuel fired Tilting rotary furnace (TRF) enabled us
to secure a ten years contract worth AED120Million from Dubal. The interaction with the international
manufacturer and consultants from USA and Europe for the technology search has contributed in my
knowledge of the international aluminium industry structure and the new trends in the industry. The
recycling plant was successfully constructed, installed and commissioned in record time to meet the dead
line set by Dubal and CAI. The expansion followed with in one year to tap in the potentials of the regional
market and the local small and medium enterprises (SME) in the aluminium melting business.

 Selection of Technology Supplier, Civil consultant and contractor. Finalization of all contracts for project execution and
close monitoring of the construction, installation and commissioning schedules as provided by the contractor and dead
line by the client, Dubal.
 Regular monitoring of progress & quality of construction activities as per the schedule; on-site decision-making to resolve
construction & engineering issues avoiding unnecessary delays.
 Full fill the Requirements of the stringent Departmental issues posed by the UAE authorities(EPSS) and Dubal ( Green
field ISO 14000 Approved smelter) relating to the environmental emissions, waste audits , safety and others.
Innovation & Business Process Re-engineering (BPR)
 ade innovative and creative modifications during the construction stages to the finalization of the dross
recycling/processing plant. The modifications enabled us with out spending too much on civil construction for subsequent
expansion the following year.
