To ensure the efficient running of all aspects of Sustrans retail, stock, storage, order fulfilment, CSM, online shop and related functions 2. To manage the Retail Administrator and potentially volunteer support. To ensure an excellent level of customer service is delivered through all aspects of both online and physical shop. 3. Working with the support of the Retail and Fundraising Digital Promotions Officer to monitor customer source and behaviour and enhance the shopper experience online. 4. Giving direction to the Retail & Fundraising Digital Promotions Officer with regard to amendments, additions and enhancements to the online shop. 5. In consultation with the Head of Retail & Mapping Services to source a range of merchandise that will deliver agreed profit levels and enhance the Sustrans brand. 6. To work with colleagues in Fundraising and Communications to increase penetration of existing markets and to identify and negotiate access to new markets through advertising, joint promotions and customer offers. 7. To keep accurate and up-to-date records of sales, stock flow and expenditure, to provide reports as and when required on trading activity, to monitor income and expenditure against budgets and provide reports as required. 8. To ensure that the stock control and order fulfilment systems and online shop are kept up-to-date and operational at all times. Liaising as necessary with the software contractor to resolve issues. 9. To ensure that the online shop and telephone ordering service comply with relevant legislation and best practice guidelines. 10. To control all aspects of stock, ensuring that both the online shop, and supply to our trade distributors operate effectively and efficiently. 11. To support and comply with the organisation's Policy for the management of Health and Safety. 12. To work in accordance with the arrangements described in the organisation's health and safety management system including any project or department specific requirements. 13. Any other duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time. Working conditions This post will be based in Bristol with very occasional travel. While this role is primarily located in Bristol the post holder may be required to work from other locations from time to time in order to undertake additional or other duties as are reasonably necessary to meet the needs of the charity. Sustrans uses trade distributors to place our products in shops and other retail outlets.
