Below is a list of possibilities but there are many other options available. You may do this part on your own or with a group (2-4) of your choosing. The options are presented in terms of their appropriateness for the grade and level of involvement that you are seeking. A Level Options • Promote and present a showing of an environmental film. Follow-up by leading a discussion related to the film. • Plan a lesson and present it to students at Kennedy or another school. • Organize a drive for the Churchill community to reduce CO2 emissions by biking to school, carpooling, using public transportation, or walking. • Plan and paint a mural for our school that promotes a better future. • Host a panel of experts to present to the Churchill community (perhaps around Earth Day in mid-late April) • Create and host a fundraiser. • Create and host a brief documentary. • Do an energy audit of our school. B Level Options • Create and deliver a presentation to an audience other than our class. • Create a survey and presentation around a topic and share it with 10-15 people. • Develop and publish a pamphlet. Distribute it to the public. • Write and perform a song, play, poem... • Create informational posters to display around school. C Level Options • Write a letter to the editor. • Give a lecture to our class. • Create and publish a public service announcement. OR... make up your own project.
