Installation Instructions for Stata, Scientific Word, DrainMod, and SedCad 4
Installation of Stata:
1. Put disc into disc-drive.
2. double-click “setup.exe”
3. Next.
4. The correct Stata flavor is “Stata/IC”
5. Next > Next > Next
6. Finish
7. Launch program
8. Stata initialization requires the following information: Name, Organization, Serial
#, Code, Authorization. The serial # is “1910581263” (without the quotes). The
code is “3o0c mqrt uvwy rLd6 yphi kov” (w/o quotes). Authorization key is
“$zpe” (again, w/o quotes).
9. Then, select “no” to the question “Enable automatic update checking?” (this is
because the lab computers will be frozen)
Installation of SedCad 4:
1. Put disc into disc-drive.
2. double-click “setup.exe”
3. Next > Yes > Next > Next > Next
4. Restart computer.
5. Attach appropriate parallel port to computer.
6. Launch SedCad 4
7. type serial # “398 – 1148858” (w/o quotes)
Installation of Scientific Word:
1. Put disc into disc-drive.
2. double-click “setup.exe”
3. Put in serial # that was given with disc (should be on sheet within appropriate
folder; serial # looks similar to this XXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX)
4. Next > Next > Next > Complete > Next
5. Select “no” to registration question.
6. When launching this program, a window frequently appears requesting to register.
This issue will be addressed later in time.
Installation of Stat/Transfer
1. Put disc into disc-drive.
2. Click “setup.exe”
3. Next > I agree > Next
4. Make sure all boxes of various components are “checked”
5. Install
6. Finish
7. Activation code is “SNPU – VKRC – HHVT – SEPZ” (w/o quotes)
8. Next
9. Enter credentials (i.e. name, organization, etc.)
10. Next
11. Enter password
12. Next
13. Restart computer.
Installation of E views:
1. Software can be found on file share at:
I:\PROJECTS\CURRENT_Projects\CFANS_Student_Labs\Lab
Image\2008\APEC\EViewsv6
2. Run it
3. Next > Yes > Next
4. Serial # = 60L00060 - 4D0112E7 - E7F28802; Name = CFANS
5. Next > Next > Next
6. Finish
