Students will benefit from having one program offered at both the Hammond and Westville sites as the unification toward Purdue
Northwest progresses. All required courses will be offered on both campuses. Students will benefit from a wider selection of upperlevel courses offered by faculty in Hammond and Westville if they choose, but will they will not be required to take them in order to complete their degrees.
The new program insures a continued tradition of academic rigor and puts in place a means to better assess student learning through gateway (HIST 10500 Survey of Global History) and capstone (HIST 49400 Research Seminar in Historical Topics courses.
