Online Affiliation System Ohio FCCLA chapters affiliate directly with Ohio FCCLA. Checks are made payable to Ohio FCCLA and payments are sent to Ohio FCCLA, 25 South Front Street, MS#611, Columbus, OH 43215. The minimum number of members is 12 for both state and national membership. National is figured on the invoice automatic. If you have fewer than 12 members. All chapters must affiliate through online system. Do not go to National FCCLA site. Site- www.registermychapter.com/fcclamem/oh Select Existing Chapter Chapter ID# and Password is needed Chapter ID# came be found off of any mailing from National FCCLA on the label. Password is fccla. If you cannot get your password to work, email Cheryl Hamblin at cheryl.hamblin@education.ohio.gov. If you have a new chapter, fill in form to receive a chapter ID# and password. After entering your chapter ID# and password, complete your chapter profile completely including your email. Profile precautions- Type of Chapter- Individual not urban. Do not select middle as type unless you are affiliating all your middle school members. Profile precautions- If you have more than one chapter, check the box for this on all chapters after first chapter so you will not be charged again as an adviser. Add members one at time or by uploading a csv format spreadsheet. When finish, click on submit button . You will see an invoice. Please print invoice. If your email is correct, an invoice will also be mailed to you. You may add more members later but you cannot remove members. You will receive an invoice, a check is due at Ohio FCCLA within 45 days or $100 late fee will be added. Postmark will be accepted as the date received payment. National FCCLA affiliation is due November 30 for chapters participating in STAR Events or Career Development Events (Skill Events). FAQ’s to Affiliation What’s a chapter ID number and where do I find it? state, and national officer elections, and/or eligibility for scholarships. Unless you are a new chapter, your chapter ID number can be found on all correspondences mailed to you from the national headquarters which include Teen Times, and chapter mailing envelopes. Please provide a list of students that will be affiliated with your chapter and make note as to if they are male or female; occupational or comprehensive. This is very important when verifying membership for competitive events, The minimum for state and national is both 12. Can I affiliate my second term students? Yes! Affiliations are accepted until May 31. However, if members wish to compete in STAR Events the national deadline for affiliation is February 15. What method of payment is accepted for dues? School check payable to Ohio FCCLA, 25 South Front Street, MS 611, Columbus Ohio 43215-4183. Payments must be made within 45 days of invoice to avoid $100.00 late fee. Can you provide me a copy of my affiliation? After submitting names, please print invoice and roster. Roster may be printed by going back to registration site. Make sure to complete your profile on registration site completely and there will be an email of your invoice sent to you. Ohio FCCLA Types of Affiliation Types of affiliation for Ohio- Individual, Chapter FCS High School, Middle School and Urban Individual Membership dues are paid according to the total number of members that a chapter registers. National dues are $9 per person and state dues are $6 per person for a total of $15 per person. Chapter FCS High School- FCS Chapters at high schools register all members as a chapter. The fee is $750. Unlimited number of high school FCS students may be affiliated at one price for state and 50 members for National FCCLA. Middle School- Chapters at middle school may affiliate unlimited number of members for one fee of $750. This includes both National and Ohio affiliation. The annual national affiliation fee is $450, (This fee covers 50 students in your class any time during the year.) which entitles each eligible chapter to receive 50 copies of Teen Times. Ohio FCCLA affiliation fee for High School FCS is $300. The fee covers all members 1st and 2nd semester. If a High School FCS chapter is affiliated, any member of that chapter may participate in any FCCLA state program or meetings. Verification of their enrollment in the class will be required. Urban School Affiliation FCCLA is the only youth lead career technical student organization that focuses on the family. Through peer education, students learn leadership skills that increase self-esteem, focus on family, career and community issues, and build a strong foundation for future social development. Give your urban students the opportunity to acquire these skills for life by joining FCCLA. Eligibility: An urban school district located within the corporate limits of a city with a core population of 100,000 or more can enroll all of its students currently or previously enrolled in a Family and Consumer Sciences education class. National Affiliation Fee: $4,500/district at $9.00 each. State Affiliation Fee: $3,000/district at $6.00 each. Benefits: Cost effective for at-risk urban schools. All students are eligible to participate in all national programs, attend National Cluster Meetings as well as the National Leadership Meeting. The affiliated schools within the district will receive copies of Teen Times, not exceeding a total of 500 issues. Teachers of each chapter receive a copy of The Adviser. Use the Step 1 Webquest from the Membership Kit under Resources to create interest in FCCLA. Students work on it in class or give them until the end of the week! You can also print a Step 1 Certificate. Use the 2013 – 2014 Membership Video from the CD during class. If you are a new chapter, then go to ohiofccla.com to order your copy. Introduce FCCLA to potential members as a Mission Possible and don’t forget to retain current members. Consider participating in a STAR Event for No Kid Hungry Create a 5K walk/run and give the funds raised to support Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry® Campaign. Day 5: FCCLA: Mission Possible! Make plans to attend district/regional meetings Make plans to attend cluster in Spokane, Washington; Omaha, Nebraska; or Charlotte, North Carolina! Become an Ultimate Leader! Take the courses provided at Fall Leadership, Regional Leadership and at State Conference! Register to attend Fall Leadership Conference! At the end of the week, have students repeat the creed and/or the mission statement. If they are successful, give them a special treat!
