Job Responsibilities
























Support Operational Management to achieve effective implementation of the HSEQ
Policies and Procedures, with particular emphasis on key elements such as Permit to
Work, Task Based Risk Assessment, Toolbox Talks, Hazard Observations, Near Miss
Reporting, and Accident/Incident Investigation.
Provide coaching and advice to operational managers and supervisors in respect of
managing the HSE aspects of their day-to-day undertakings
Contribute to the “New Start” and “Visitor” induction process though delivery of HSE
elements
Develop HSE awareness, training sessions and deliver such training in range of HSE
topics e.g. Risk Assessment, Manual Handling and COSHH Assessments.
Attend Industry/Client arranged meetings and seminars in relation to aspects of HSE and
in co-operation with Operational Managers
Liaise with operations managers/supervisors to develop and implement Site and Project
specific HSEQ Plans.
In conjunction with operations managers/supervisors carry out visits to onshore/offshore
locations liaising with Client representatives and conducting Planned Safety Inspections
and HSE Audits.
Participate in Accident/Investigation to determine Root Cause, identify Key Lessons and
make recommendations to prevent recurrence.
Co-operate with Clients and other bodies during HSE Audits.
Contribute to the compilation of Operations, HSEQ Scorecard, submitted monthly to
Corporate, HSEQ Coordinator.
Liaise regularly with Senior HSE Advisor and/or Director of HSEQ on matters of HSE and
submit Monthly HSE Report at end of each calendar month, providing updates on
performance; initiatives; safety training and other relevant safety information.
Able to provide safety coaching to line management and frontline personnel in hazard
identification and safety observation processes.
The ideal candidate will already have experience in a similar role in the oil and gas
industry and hold a current HSE qualification awarded by either IOSH/British Safety
Council (with subsequent experience in an oil/gas service contractor company).
