NC COMMUNITY COLLEGE SYSTEM COMBINED COURSE LIBRARY DESCRIPTION

This course provides a comprehensive study of editing skills needed in the workplace. Emphasis is placed on grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, proofreading, and editing. Upon completion, students should be able to use reference materials to compose and edit text.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

Absences allowed:

9.68

Hours

The student must attend at least 80% of the total course hours. If more than 20% is missed, the student will automatically be dropped from the course.

MISSED WORK POLICY

If you miss a due date, a grade of zero will be assigned for that assignment.

If you feel that you have a valid reason for not turning in your work, you must contact your instructor

(glc@carteret.edu) within 24 hours of the missed due date. The instructor will then decide whether the reason is valid and if the student will be allowed to turn in the assignment late. Full or partial credit may or may not be given, depending on instructor’s decision.
