VII. CURRENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure compliance of the company’s processes and facilities to environmental statutory and regulatory
requirements and conduct environmental impact assessments of Maynilad’s projects and where
necessary; determine control measures and programs to mitigate their impacts unto the environment;
develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs. Oversee monitoring
and compliance of the company’s activities and facilities to environmental, water and wastewater quality
requirements to those mandated by national, local and international standards as well as those
established by the company and the industry norm.

Ensure compliance of the company’s processes and facilities to environmental statutory and regulatory
requirements and conduct environmental impact assessments of Maynilad’s existing facilities and where
necessary; determine control measures and programs to mitigate their impacts unto the environment;
develop, implement and monitor environmental strategies, policies and programs to promote sustainable
development and watershed protection, rehabilitation and preservation.

Raise awareness, at all levels of an organization’s, of the impact of emerging environmental issues,
whether legislative or best practice, on corporate, ethical and social responsibility.

Oversee the environmental performance of the organizations

Conceptualized and implement activities to raise environmental awareness and understanding, using a
range of media.

Act as Corporate Pollution Control Officer.
