Spring 2013 Discuss the general principles of organization and modern management techniques. 2. Apply administrative and leadership skills and understand the goals and purpose of police service. 3. Discuss the role of communication and ways to enhance the process. 4. Identify the decision making process involved at various levels of a police organization. 5. Discuss the importance of motivation and several motivational theories related to management. 6. Discuss the positive and negative aspects of discipline. 7. Define the difference between complaints and grievances and the steps to resolve them. 8. Discuss conflict and the impact it has on organizations. Methods of conflict resolution will be discussed. 9.
