Learning Team Goals
(May include project assignment goals, group process goals, quality level goals, etc.)
We have identified the following bulleted list of learning team goals.

Our immediate goal is to complete the work assigned each week on time while maintaining a high degree
of quality.

Paper contributions will contain the required in line citations and Reference section additions in proper
format.

Each team member is expected to volunteer to a fair share of each project without excluding others from
participation.

Our team goal should be to turn in all assignments on time, if not prior to the stated deadlines.

While utilizing our Team strengths to complete our designated assignments, we also will plan for the
individuals of our team to work at strengthening their areas of development.

Finally, we are all expecting to receive a good grade.
What are potential barriers to the achievement of these goals?
We have identified the following bulleted list of potential barriers.

Individual issues with work and travel, a big issue can arise because of travel with work.

Time constraints and other personal responsibilities.

Miscommunication and rash response to a perceived insult.

A lack of good communication regarding conflicts and issues meeting deadlines.
Ground Rules
Meeting schedule, locations, attendance expectations, agenda, assignment completion, communication methods, etc.
We have identified the following bulleted list of ground rules.
Team Leader

The learning team will have a single team leader throughout the course. The team leader selected is
____________________________________________________.

This team leader is responsible for organizing the team assignment, posting the task list for members to
volunteer for sections, consolidating the contributions into a draft, finalizing the document, posting it for
final review, and posting the final version to the team newsgroup and the Assignments newsgroup by the
due date.

We all recognize that this is not a position that is compensated by the grading system and will do all in our
power as team members to assist the team leader’s success.
All Team Members



We will utilize our _________________________________ as our primary method of communication.
Each member is expected to have contributions ready on time.
If one of the Team members has an issue with completing their part of a project, they will communicate
this to the Team as quickly as possible. The Team members will make every effort to help resolve this
issue and a volunteer will be assigned to assume the team member’s contribution if necessary.

We will try to complete assignments a minimum of __________ days before due date. This is to allow for
any consolidation and checking of information.

Above all we will be respectful and supportive of each other by being inclusive and fair. There is no “I” in
TEAM.
Conflict Management
What are potential conflicts that might arise among or between team members during this course? How will team
members deal with these and other conflicts?

We each have identified the potential conflicts listed above. Our Team will strive to communicate openly
and honestly with each other. If a conflict arises, we will work through the issue(s) and resolve them as
professionals.
