Greensboro Country Club

This planner has been designed to assist you in planning your social event and to acquaint you with the quality services available. Greensboro Country Club recognizes that our members have individual tastes and needs that require our personal attention. Therefore, we pride ourselves in our impeccable service and attention to detail to ensure that your event is both highly successful and memorable.

To this end, we offer several different options from which to choose. However, if you desire, we will be happy to custom tailor a menu specifically for your event. It is our pleasure to help produce a memorable occasion with a minimum of effort for you in the planning and execution of your event. For further inquiries please contact

General Information & Policies

Pricing

All prices listed are the base price, without service charge and sales tax, and are subject to change pending substitutions made by the host or hostess. An addition of 20% Service Charge and 7% Sales

Tax will be applied to all food and beverage charges. All events held during the following times will be charged an overtime fee: Saturday before 5 PM, Sunday, Monday or that extend beyond midnight. All events must be concluded by 1 AM.

Guarantee

In order for our staff to effectively plan and execute your function, the attendance guarantee must be made 72 hours in advance. In the event we do not receive your guarantee three business days in advance, the greater expected number of guests will be considered to be the guaranteed number.

The price of your function is based on the guarantee or number of guests in attendance. In the event the actual number of guests in attendance is greater than the guarantee, the club will do its best to make accommodations for the additional guests. A food surcharge of 10% will be applied to the number of guests served above the guarantee.

Security

The club requires security guards for all events with 75 or more guests. The charge for a security guard is $30.00 per hour per guard. The number of security guards required corresponds to the number in attendance at the event and is calculated as follows:

75-150 Guests requires 1 security guard

150-250 Guests requires 2 security guards

250-350 Guests requires 3 security guards

350-450 Guests requires 4 security guards

Alcoholic Beverage Policy

Club rules and North Carolina law prohibit any member or guest to provide any beverage for any event taking place on club property. Club rules also prohibit any beverage from leaving the property.

Services

The club offers a variety of services to enhance your event. Some of these services and prices are listed below.

The club’s courtesy cart is available with chauffer included for a charge of $25.00 per hour.

The club’s stage is available with set-up and break-down included for a charge of $100.00.

If an event requires an unusual amount of service labor, the club reserves the right to pass these charges along to the host or hostess of the event.

Beverage Services

Greensboro Country Club offers a variety of beverage services. All drinks are charged on a consumption basis. There will be a $15 per hour charge for each bartender. The club recommends

one bartender per 50 guests. If the host or hostess desires to add any beverages not listed below, the club will make every effort to accommodate the request.

The lunch and dinner buffet menu offers a variety of options to accommodate varying tastes. The á la carte menu format allows you to create your own custom buffet. The Chef recommends choosing at least seven selections from the following menus: Soups, Salads, Market Fresh Accompaniments,

Carving Stations, Main Courses and Desserts. A well planned, bountiful and varied buffet assures a successful event by accommodating the differing tastes of your guests.

Carving Stations

All carved items are served with appropriate Condiments and Sauces. Especially popular during lunch, a sandwich accompaniment station can be incorporated into any of the carving stations to make a freshly carved sandwich station (additional $1.25 per person).

Reception Buffets

The reception buffet menu offers a wide variety of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, premium displays and professionally attended action stations. The Chef recommends choosing at least seven selections from the following menus: salads, carving stations, sauté stations, pasta stations, hors d’oeuvres and desserts menus. If your event is planned during either a lunch or dinner time, the consideration of including more substantial (filling) items is recommended. A well-planned, bountiful and varied buffet assures a successful event by accommodating the differing tastes of your guests.

Carving stations and the premium hors d’oeuvres items are priced per piece.

All other menu items are priced per person and will be maintained for three hours from the beginning of the guaranteed start time. Additional buffet time may be added, but must be planned in advance to accommodate the added preparation required. Each additional hour will be charged at a rate of 20% of the listed menu price for each food item.

The North Carolina Department of Health and club rules prohibit removing any food from the club after it has been displayed on a buffet.

Butler-Passed Hors d’oeuvres and Cocktails

Butler passing hors d’oeuvres is an elegant, welcoming gesture to give your guests. It enhances your affair by adding an immediate festive ambiance. Almost any hors d’oeuvres in the reception buffet menu can be butler-passed. Each half hour of butler-passed hors d’oeuvres includes an unlimited supply and is charged at a rate of 50% of the listed menu price. One service professional will butlerpass hors d’oeuvres for every 100 guests in attendance. A service fee of $25.00 per hour will be charged for each service professional.

Sushi Station

Sushi is a Japanese culinary art that takes years to master, and is best enjoyed immediately after it is prepared. For these two reasons The Greensboro Country Club has contracted professional sushi chefs to cater functions at the club. The sushi will be displayed on platters and may be prepared in front of your guests as an action station or prepared in our kitchen. Accompaniments include Soy

Sauce, Wasabi and Pickled Ginger.
