Nowhere Boys
Sunday, 23 November 2014
New Series
Exploding with a television event premiere, the multi-award winning
Nowhere Boys returns to ABC TV for a second series. ABC, ABC3 and ABC
iview get in on the action with a multiplatform simulcast screening of
the highly anticipated first episode.
Keeping the excitement and momentum going, fans can then watch
episode two immediately afterwards at 6.30pm on ABC3.
The Nowhere Boys have found their way home, but Felix (Dougie Baldwin), Jake (Matt Testro), Sam
(Rahart Adams) and Andy (Joel Lok) soon discover the adventure doesn't stop just because they're back.
As they experiment with their new and unpredictable powers over earth, wind, fire and water, the boys
realise they aren't the only ones who crossed back to this universe.
But before they fully understand the danger, they must first deal with the reality of being home, and
rescue one of their own when a frustrated and jealous Andy devises a spell that has disastrous
consequences. Andy is transformed into water, and disappears before Felix, Jake and Sam's very eyes.
The race begins to rescue Andy before anyone notices he is missing.
But without Andy, the talisman no longer works, and the boys can't protect themselves against a
dangerous adversary who is trying to stop them from bringing Andy back... forever.
To get Andy home, the boys must work together to evade an escalating police investigation into Andy's
disappearance, identify a replacement 'Nowhere Boy', and keep their high-stakes quest a secret as they
juggle the everyday teenage demands of romance, family, and friendships.

Countdown: Do Yourself A Favour
Sunday, 23 November 2014
Final
By the 80s, a generation of kids reared on COUNTDOWN were appearing
on the show. Artists like Kylie Minogue, Kate Ceberano and Pseudo
Echo stepped up to perform on the famous COUNTDOWN stage. The
show was perfectly placed to reap what it had sown and the Aussie
charts exploded with home grown stars. All of a sudden bands like INXS
were setting the world charts on fire. We embraced their success as we
embraced our sporting heroes.
A new wave arrived to infuse the show with a new swagger and COUNTDOWN got bigger, wilder and
more popular. Molly was lost in a swirl of international meetings, recording dates, exclusives and dancing
competitions. Record companies fought over him and accompanied his trips to Europe and America hanging out with ABBA, Madonna and U2. The world's most famous artists had never seen anything like
him - outrageous, frank and funny - with a magical enthusiasm for their work.
The more Molly toured the world after exclusives, the more guest hosts arrived. The lighting budget went
up, the staging went up and everything got bigger and bigger. However, trouble was brewing with the
arrival of the big budget video clips and COUNTDOWN began to lose its relevance. Sadly, the world
moved on and the ABC axed the show in 1987.
COUNTDOWN was a place in time that brought the world of wild and sexy pop stars to our teens. And it
took our stars to the world. Presented by Julia Zemiro #countdown

tight-fitting skirts, stiletto heels and beehives.
In this second episode with Cilla and Bobby reunited, Cilla's confidence returns and she is once again
dazzling crowds with her amazing voice.
The re-emergence of Brian Epstein propels her career to new heights, but this is soon followed by an alltime low when her first record fails in the charts. Against Bobby's judgement Brian convinces her to

Healing
Sunday, 23 November 2014
Australian TV Premiere
After 18 years in prison, Viktor Khadem (Don Hany) is a man who has
almost given up on life.
For his final 12 months, he is sentenced to Won Wron, a low-security
prison 200 km outside Melbourne in regional Victoria, where Senior
Officer Matt Perry (Hugo Weaving) has established a unique program to
rehabilitate broken men through giving them the responsibility for the
rehabilitation of injured raptors - beautiful, fearsome, proud eagles, falcons and owls.
With the odds against him Matt chooses Viktor as his number one test case, introducing him to Yasmine,
the majestic wedge-tailed eagle with a two-metre wingspan. If these two can tame each other, anything
is possible.
Matt offers Viktor the job of running the Raptor Rehab Program, where he is able to choose his own crew.
Viktor at first struggles with even being asked to do something let alone being allowed to decide who to
do it with. When he chooses Paul (Xavier Samuel) (to protect him) and Shane (Mark Leonard Winter) (to
keep him close), it's the first decision he has made for himself in 18 years.
Healing is a powerful, moving story of redemption, the discovery of hope and the healing of the spirit - in
the most unlikely place, for the most singular men, through the most unusual catalyst.
Inspired by true events, healing is an Australian feature film written and directed by Craig Monahan, the
multi-award winning director of The Interview - Winner of Best Film - Australian Film Institute Awards.

Kitchen Cabinet: Warren Entsch
Tuesday, 25 November 2014
Since 2012 Kitchen Cabinet has taken us into the homes of 20
politicians, from Prime Ministers to backbenchers, in every state of
Australia, discovering varying degrees of culinary competence.
Since Kitchen Cabinet was last on air there has been a change in
government, a new Prime Minister, and an interesting crop of senators
that never cease to surprise. And so, in Series 4 of Kitchen Cabinet,
Annabel Crabb is back for more, knocking on the doors of politician's homes around Australia, in search of
a good meal and some answers.
Former Prime Minister Bob Hawke opens the doors to his Sydney home and takes Annabel on a house
tour that involves both an inclinator and an elevator. Annabel flexes mussels with our Belgian born Perth
based Finance Minister Mathias Cormann. Leader of the opposition Bill Shorten whips up a ratatouille
with some close supervision from his wife Chloe Shorten. Labor MP Anna Burke talks about her
experiences as Speaker during the unruliest parliament in Australian history. Liberal MP and former
crocodile hunter Warren Entsch invites Annabel to his farm outside of Cairns, to sample some local
produce. And, in a special episode of Kitchen Cabinet, Trade Minister Andrew Robb and former Liberal
senator Mary Jo Fisher talk openly about their struggles with depression and how mental health can
influence a political career.
Join Annabel Crabb as she gets beyond the sound bite and helps us to understand the curious creature
that is the Australian politician.

A Country Road: The Nationals
Tuesday, 25 November 2014
New Series
Presented by Heather Ewart, a seasoned political reporter who grew up
on a sheep and wheat farm in National Party country in Victoria, A
Country Road: The Nationals is a rollicking political and social history
across time - and across this vast country.
The first episode explores the early history of the National Party,
through to what many consider its heyday when the trio of Doug
Anthony, Peter Nixon and Ian Sinclair reigned supreme.
Known as the Mulga Mafia, these three men dominated the political landscape in the 70s and 80s,
especially during the Fraser years. They also played a critical part in the dismissal of the Whitlam
Government.
Now all in their 80s and back on the farm, they give a frank and at times charming insight into the political
clout they once carried.
Former Liberal Prime Ministers Malcolm Fraser and John Howard add their views on The Nationals'
golden years.

Julia Zemiro's Home Delivery: Ruth Jones
Wednesday, 26 November 2014
Actress, comedian, writer, producer, Ruth Jones, laughs about winning a
Best Newcomer Brit Comedy Award in her early 40s. A household name
in the UK, she is probably best known to Aussie audiences as Myfanwy,
the barmaid, from Little Britain and Nessa, the co-writer and one of the
stars of the sitcom Gavin and Stacey. Ruth hails from a seaside town
halfway between Cardiff and Swansea called Porthcawl and happily for
her, has been able to live and work in Wales for most of her career.
They start their day on the Porthcawl coast walk and wander to the house Ruth once lived in with her
parents, grandmother, sister and two brothers. The house is empty but brimming with memories for
Ruth who is quite taken with emotion as she recounts the days she spent there as a little girl.
On the way to Nottage Primary School they visit the Grand Pavilion where Ruth first performed on stage.
She gives a very honest account of the insecurities she still feels despite the enormous success she has
enjoyed in the last ten years of her career. At the primary school, she tests Julia on some Welsh words
and reminisces about the melodramatic streak that possessed her as a child.
Ruth is no longer a believer in the traditional sense but she takes Julia to All Saints church where all the
family weddings, christenings and funerals have taken place. Ruth shares her views on spirituality and
fondly recalls the Sunday mornings spent there with both her grandmothers.

Indigenous superhero Deadly Dave once again fixes the unfixable and
we learn about one woman's fight to be able to identify as Aboriginal
and/or Torres Strait Islander on the online dating site OKCupid.
A classic advertisement from the eighties is unearthed - this time from
the long defunct adult chat line Girls Gone Native, where they promise
that it's 'always wet season', we visit the Housewives of Narromine, and
get a dubious singing lesson from the Tiddas.
Meanwhile a spotlight is turned on the ALF - the Aboriginal Liberation Front - a radical paramilitary group
comprised of white middle class kids, led by the charismatic, yet insane, Marcy. Their aim - to free their
Indigenous brothers and sisters from the shackles of white middle class oppression and repatriate them
back into the bush - whether they like it or not. The only thing standing between the ALF and an
unsuspecting Indigenous population is Kevin, a mild mannered schoolteacher.

Friday, 28 November 2014
New Series
Adapted from PD James's international bestselling novel, the three-part
series Death Comes to Pemberley, marks the 200th anniversary year of
the first publication of Pride and Prejudice. PD James's inventive
homage to Austen brings her much-loved world to life in a dazzling and
original way with Austen's best-known characters Elizabeth, Darcy and
Wickham, at its heart.
Elizabeth (Anna Maxwell Williams) and Darcy (Matthew Rhys) now six years married and with a son, are
preparing for the lavish annual ball at their magnificent Pemberley home. The unannounced arrival of
Elizabeth's wayward sister Lydia (Jenna Coleman), however, brings an abrupt and shocking halt to
proceedings when she stumbles out of her chaise screaming that her husband Wickham has been
murdered.
Darcy leads a search party out to the woodlands, and when they discover the blood-smeared corpse not
of Wickham, but his travelling companion, suspicion is at once aroused. The dramatic and unnerving
events of the evening have shattered the peace both of the Darcys and of Pemberley, and as the family
becomes caught up in the ensuing murder investigation, a mysterious web of secrets and deceit will
threaten all that the Darcys hold dear...
