Skills Students will be able to locate Spanish speaking countries on a map. Assessment Students will take a quiz over the Spanish speaking countries and capitals. Week 1: How will students know where Spanish speaking countries are? Standard: 2) Students will be able to locate Mexico on the map. They will learn about the culture of Mexico. Students will take a quiz over Mexico's location and culture. Students will write a short paragraph in Spanish about where they would like to go on vacation and what they would like to do there. Students will look at a weather report and describe the weather in Spanish. Students will also make a travel pamphlet for a country. Students will locate each part of the home and name it in Spanish. They will make a collage of their dream home and mark all the parts in Spanish. They will also name activities they do there and chores they can do. Students will name the body parts in Spanish. They will be able to discuss how they are feeling. They will take a quiz naming the different body parts. How will students describe how they are feeling and discuss health issues? Students will be able to locate the kingdom of the Maya and understand their culture and contributions. How will students understand ancient Indian cultures that affected Spanish culture? Week 4: How will students understand Indian culture through their legends? How will students talk about the community?
