REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC LGBT VOTER GUIDE
Early Voting, Oct 18 – Nov 3
General Election – November 6
The primary purpose of the REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC is to influence the election of local, state and national candidates who will best support and promote the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) citizens. In addition, consideration is given to a candidate’s past and current positions on issues supporting the business and social interests of Replacements, Ltd. (which includes fostering an open community in which all individuals are free to participate and serve without discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity) and the strategic viability of the candidate.
Data about candidates is obtained through survey responses, conversations with candidates and information about the candidate in the public domain.
The REPLACEMENTS LTD PAC has endorsed some Republican candidates.
However, we are cautious because the NC Republican Party Platform is opposed to LGBT equality. We recognize that not all Republicans share this attitude.
Excerpts from the North Carolina Republican Party Platform For 2012
