(1990 – current) Experienced in analysis, design, implementation, testing, documentation, and maintenance, ie the complete project life cycle. (1986 – current) Experienced in training and presentation. Consulting experience in case tools (Meta Design), data base design (NIAM & ER), application design and implementation, both in Australia and overseas. (1986 – 1990) Extensive experience in design and implementation of NIAM based case tools for the design of Data Bases. (Meta Data Design & Implementation) (1984 – 1986) Managing Company Director with 2 offices (Bribane/Canberra) (1986 – 1990) (1993 – current) MAJOR ACHIEVEMENTS I designed and created a Menu and Security system that has been part of the DBQ Database from 1988 to the current day. (Still in use in Victoria / France / New Zealand) With my business partner I Implemented a Billing System for the Department of Natural Resources and Water in the beginning of the 1990's. In 1995 and attempt was made to replace this with a commercial system which was never able to be fully implemented. Another attempt was made which failed again. I was called back in 2001 to recreate a working system. I designed and implemented the current (interim) system, and by 2006 the department had caught up with the billing backlog. (Over the last 2 years an attempt has been made to replace the interim system which at a current cost of over $ 3 million has not (yet) succeeded) Between 1995 and 2000 I worked on a scheduling system for Marine Pilots for the QLD Department of Transport(Maritime Division). This was initially installed in Hay Point, and subsequently through all departmental harbours in Queensland. After finishing I was contracted by the Brisbane Pilots to create a similar system for the Brisbane harbour. (2001 – 2003). (Port of Brisbane is independent from QLD Department of Transport) Page 4 of 8 Major Projects as Director / Senior Consultant MAJOR PROJECTS AS DIRECTOR / SENIOR CONSULTANT Period Client Project Apr 2001 – Current QLD Department of Natural Resources and Water Design and implementation of a Water Billing System Technical skills used Access / VB Coding Access 2 Microsoft Office 2000 / Word / Excel Windows 95 / NT / 2000 Responsibilities Functional Requirements Specifications Detailed Design Specifications Database Design User Interface Design Documentation Testing of the new system Period Client Project Jun 2001 – 2003 Brisbane Marine Pilots Design and implementation of application tracking vessel movements in Brisbane port.
