One juvenile delinquent. TEAM Under close supervision of Sh. Partap Singh, ACP/Ashok Viahr, Delhi, a team led by Inspr. Ram Singh, SHO/Ashok Vihar consisting SI Ved Parkash I/C PP, WPIA, SI Rohit Kumar, SI Parmod Kumar (JWO), HC Surenderdutt, Ct. Babu Lal , Ct. Satender and ct.Gurjit was constituted to nab the accused. The available clues were analyzed and sources were deployed which yielded in cracking the case. Incident On 14.07.12 the complainant along with his servant namely Raj Kumar was present in his factory. At about 10.40 AM, three boys barged into his office, overpowered and tied them with the chairs with a nylon rope at knife point. The accused persons covered faces of the victims with cloth pieces. The complainant was robbed of Rs. 3,35,000/- , 02 gold rings and one gold chain. Interrogation During the course of investigation, extensive inquiries were made in the surrounding area and all local criminals who were suspect were interrogated. During local enquiry, a large number of persons working in the factories were questioned. Local sources and the secret informers were pressed into service. CCTV recordings of all the factories in the area were scrutinized. During this exercise, footage of one such camera mounted on the wall of a factory situated in the street next to the one where the incident of robbery had taken place contained movement of three youths with matching physical descriptions and wearing apparels. The timing also matched with the time of the crime. The footage was shown to the secret informers and the complainant that helped in establishing the identities of the three accused. On checking, all three were found missing from their respective residences. A manhunt was immediately launched. Services of the local sources and the secret informers were taken for tracing the culprits. Raids were conducted at Gurgaon, Noida, Ghaziabad and Hardwar. Electronic surveillance confirmed the presence of the accused persons at Hardwar. A team with some locals was dispatched there but owing to heavy congregation of kanwrias, they could not be located. On 17.07.12, one juvenile delinquent involved in the crime was apprehended from Delhi Gate while trying to surrender before the Juvenile Justice board through some NGO. The Juvenile delinquent disclosed about the involvement of two of his accomplices and two others who were involved in hatching the conspiracy to rob the complainant. Ultimately in the evening of 17.05.12 accused Harikesh Kumar & Samant Mandal were arrested in the case. The knife, the mobile phones used in the crime, part of the robbed money and clothes worn by the accused persons have been recovered. On 18-07-12, third accused Raj Kumar @ Kalu was also arrested. The main accused Anuj @ Ann Kumar is absconding and surveillance is mounted to arrest him as the remaining cash and jewellery items are in his possession. RECOVERY 1. Rs. 68,050/2. One Knife 3. Dated 19th July-2012 INTRODUCTION :With the arrest of accused Ravi s/o Muneshwar r/o H.No. A-160 Gali No. 6, Khoob Ram Park, Prem Nagar Part-I, Nangloi, Delhi, Mahendra Park Police has worked out a blind case of murder in which one Richh Pal aged 55 years s/o Sunda r/o Vill. Bega, Distt. Sonepat, Haryana was stabbed to death in Tyagi Market Vill. Bhadola area in the early morning of 9.7.12 INCIDENT :On the night between 8/9.7.12 deceased Richh Pal alongwith his younger brother Satyavir Singh came to New Subzi Mandi Azadpur for selling Green Chilly. On 9.7.12, a PCR call was received at PP New Subzi Mandi vide DD No. 7 at about 6:45 PM regarding dead body lying in Village Bharola. SI Sanjeev Kumar attended this call and found a dead lying infront of H.No. 30 Tyagi Market Vill. Bhadola. There was stab injuries in the Chest of the deceased . INTERROGATION :On the basis of secret information accused Ravi was apprehended and interrogated who disclosed that he is illiterate and having three brother and they all are involved in petty crimes. Accused Ravi along with his associates was arrested last year in a house theft case and after release from jail he changed his address from Bharola to Prem Nagar, Nangloi and avoided to attend the court dates. On the night between 8/9-7-12 accused Ravi came in the area of New Subzi Mandi along with his two associates and after consuming Liquor, they took position in the street of Tyagi Market Bharola and waiting for the target. At about 3:30./4 AM they waylaid a person wearing Kurta Paijama aged about 50/55 years . On seeing the target , they stopped him with the intention to robe him. They caught hold of deceased Richh Pal but he resisted and then one of them stabbed him with Knife. After seeing blood oozing out from the chest of the deceased, they fled away from the spot. TEAM AND INCIDENT: In order to curb recent incidents of crime especially auto lifting in the area of North-East Distt, the police continued efforts to nab criminals involved in crime by indulging in intensive picket checking, human and police intelligence and patrolling in the area. Accused used to drugging the passengers at railway stations. With the arrest of three accused persons namely 1. Ram Ashok s/o Ram Chander r/o Vill. PO Uttarda, District Ghonda, UP aged 40 years, 2. Iqbal Husain s/o Sharafat Hussain r/o D-95, Gamdi, Bhajan Pura, Delhi and 3. Anwar s/o Hasibul r/o H no. 73, 51/12, Pustha Gali No. 10, Gamdi, Delhi aged 24 years, Crime Branch has solved out two different cases of drugging. Stolen articles have also been recovered from their possession. In first incident of 06.07.12 at Old Delhi Railway Station, complainant Faiyazuddin s/o Mohd. Maijuddin r/o Vill. Abdullah Latashri District Maldah, West Bengal reported that on 05.07.12, while he was waiting for Brahmputra Mail on platform No. 16 at Old Delhi Railway Station, one person approached to him and developed friendship. He offered some tea & biscuits to him. After eating, he became drowsy and unconscious. At the same time, a team from PS Old Delhi Railway Station, which had been deployed for patrolling, watched him and immediately shifted him to Aruna Asaf Ali Hospital for treatment. Due to intervention of police party, the accused person did not succeed in stealing the belongings of the complainant. On the basis of the statement of the complainant, a case vide FIR No. 89/12 dated 06.07.12 u/s 328/379/511 IPC was registered at PS Old Delhi Railway Station and intensive manhunt was initiated in search of the accused. Finally after painstaking and relentless efforts, the accused person namely Ram Ashok was apprehended. Similarly, in the other incident of 14.07.12 of New Delhi Railway Station, One Murari Sahni s/o Brijan Sahni r/o Vill. Goda, PS Samri District Darbhanga, Bihar, aged 24 years reported that in 13.07.12, he came to New Delhi Railway Station from Mumbai and was going to Rudrapur. While waiting on platform No. 16 of the station, two boys approached him and developed friendship with him. At night at about 12:30 PM, one of them offered him tea and biscuits. After eating the biscuits, he became unconscious. He was shifted to Loknayak Jai Prakash Hospital for treatment. The complainant in his statement reported that his bag containing educational Certificates, mobile phone, Rs. 20000/- and clothes, was found missing. Hence a case vide FIR No. 127/12 dated 14.07.12 u/s 328/379/34 IPC registered at PS New Delhi Railway station and investigation was taken up. A massive manhunt was launched and finally both the accused persons namely Iqbal Husain and Anwar were arrested. Part of stolen gold jewellery (about 90 gms.) and Cash worth Rs. 2,50,000/recovered. With the arrest of a thief namely Narender s/o Swaroop Singh r/o Village Sorkhi, PS Hansi, District Hissar, Haryana, the Crime Branch of Delhi Police has solved a sensational case of theft of jewellery worth Rs. 7 lacs at Hazarat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Delhi. Cash worth Rs. 2.5 lacs and gold jewellery about 90 gms. have been recovered from his possession. INCIDENT: On 26.06.12, complainant Sh. T. R. Krishnan Iyer reported that he alongwith his family boarded in Millennium Express on 23.06.12 from Palakkad, Kerela and arrived at Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station on 25.06.12. When the train was about to reach Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, he started keeping his luggage near the exit gate of the coach. Meanwhile, about 9 persons appeared around the luggage and blocked the movements of the complainant’s family. All of them de-boarded train at the same station. But after reaching the home, the complainant found entire gold jewellery worth Rs. 7 Lakhs, stolen from one of the suitcases. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 71/12 dated 26.06.12 u/s 379 IPC was registered at PS. Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and investigation was taken up. TEAM AND OPERATION: Keeping in view of the gravity of the case and to apprehend the culprits involved in the crime, a team headed by Inspr. Naresh, SHO/ Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, comprising of SI Dharamvir, HC Ombir Tyagi, Ct. Randhir Singh, Ct. Sanjeet and Ct. Arjun Singh was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Gurbachan Singh, ACP/Railways. The team conducted intensive local and spot enquires. Human intelligence was also developed to find out some clue. Several BCs and ruffians were interrogated into this matter but no fruitful result came out. Further, the criminals having similar modus operandi were also interrogated. Finally after painstaking and relentless efforts, the team succeeded in getting a secret information about accused persons involved in this case. Acting upon the secret tip off, a raid was conducted near Church, Chandni Chowk, Delhi and one accused Narender was apprehended who was coming back after selling the some part of the stolen jewellery articles. Kamla Market with the help of ‘Shakti Vahini’, an NGO. INCIDENT AND TEAM On 18-07-2012, a representative of Shakti Vahini, NGO approached PS Kamla Market and reported that a minor girl, who was missing from P.S. Joy Nagar, District South 24 Pargana, West Bengal vide G.D. No. 2160 dated 17-7-12 is confined at Kotha No- 42, IInd Floor, G.B. Road and desires to be rescued from there. On this, a team comprising of Inpsr. Vinod Kumar, ATO/Kamla Market, SI Ajay, SI Sushil Kumar and W/Ct. Sarita was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. Ram Kumar, ACP/Kamla Market. The representative of NGO ‘Shakti Vahini’ was also associated with the team. Thereafter, in late evening of 18.07.2012, a raid was conducted at Kotha No. 42, IInd Floor, GB Road, Delhi and the missing girl from PS Joy Nagar, District South 24 Pargana, West Bengal aged about 16 years was rescued by the police team of PS Kamla Market, Central District, Delhi. INVESTIGATION During investigation, it was revealed that the girl belong to poor family. She has studied up to 10 th class and was doing the course of nursing. She was lured by one boy on the pretext of marrying her in Delhi. But instead of marriage, the boy sold the girl at Kotha No. 42, IInd Floor, G.B. Road, Delhi. COMMISSIONER OF POLICE, CENTRAL DISTRICT, DELHI PRESS RELEASE DELHI POLICE 19.07.2012 ________________________________________________________________ NORTH DISTRICT TWO ACTIVE AUTO LIFTERS ARRESTED, 4 STOLEN MOTOR CYCLES RECOVERED North District has arrested two auto lifters namely Najakat Alvi aged 25 years s/o Liyakat Alvi r/o Kalwa ki jhuggi, Sri Ram Nagar, Lal Bagh Takia Gullushah, Near M.S. Park Metro Station, Delhi and 2) Shahid aged 24 years s/o Yusuf r/o 1/331, Sri Ram Nagar, Takia Gullushah, Near M.S. Park Metro Station Delhi and recovered four stolen motor cycles from their possession. INCIDENT AND TEAM On 17-7-12, secret information was received at AATS/North, Delhi that an auto-lifter would move from Gulabi Bagh to Shahadra through Azad Market on a stolen motor cycle. On receipt of this information, a raiding party under the leadership of Insp. Shalender Tomar, Insp./AATS, consisting of SI Ravindra Singh, HC Mahesh, HC Satish Patil, Ct. Amit, Ct. Parveen, Ct. Navneet, Ct. Aashish and Ct. Ansar Khan was constituted under the close supervision of Sh. R. K. Singh, ACP/Operations. The team took their position near railway bridge, Azad Market. At around 11:15 a.m., one person approached from Gulabi Bagh side on a red color Bajaj Discover M/Cycle bearing Reg. No. DL4S AB 4623. At the instance of the informer, the raiding party acted swiftly and apprehended that person with the motor cycle. He was identified as Najakat Alvi s/o Liyakat Alvi r/o Kalwa ki jhuggi , Sri Ram Nagar, Lal Bagh Takia Gullushah, Near M.S. Park Metro Station Delhi . He could not produce any document pertaining to the said motor cycle. After checking the engine and chassis numbers, original number of the said m/cycle was found as DL 7S BA 8478. Records were checked and it was found that the said m/cycle is stolen from the area of PS Seelampur, Delhi vide FIR No. 188/12. Subsequently, a case vide FIR No. 44/12 u/s 482/411 IPC was registered at PS Bara Hindu Rao and Najakat Alvi was arrested in the case. INTERROGATION During interrogation, accused Nazakat Alvi disclosed that he was born in 1987 at village Shahpur, Tehsil Hasanpur, District J. P. Nagar (UP). He studied up to 3rd class in a Government Primary School. Initially, he worked with his father as rickshaw mechanic. Later on, he came to Delhi in 2000-01. He worked as a scrap dealer in Delhi at Shahadra and came in contact with criminals like Shahid, Arman, Badal and Vijay. In association with Shahid and Lala, he started to steal m/cycles from Delhi and supply the same at Chand Pur (UP) to Vijay. He was arrested in 2008 at PS Sec-49, Noida and stolen vehicles were recovered at his instance. He was released from jail after 1 year on bail. Shahid, who is addicted to alcohol and ganja, again allured him for money and instigated for committing crime. Due to poverty and bad habits, he again started committing crime in 2011. He again came in contact with his old associates. This time, they started supplying the vehicles to Meerut, UP to scrap dealers. They adopted the modus operandi of supplying the stolen motor cycles to the desired destinations by changing their number plates. During further investigation, his associate namely Shahid s/o Yusuf r/o 1/331, Sri Ram Nagar, Shri Ram Nagar, Takia Gullushah, Near M.S. Park Metro Station Delhi was also arrested and three more m/cycles were recovered at his instance. PROFILE OF ACCUSED 1) Shahid s/o Yusuf r/o H. No. 1/331, Shri Ram Colony, Takiya Gullushah Shahadra, Delhi was born in 1988. He has studied up to 4th class. Initially, he worked as motor mechanic. During this work, he came in contact of bad elements and started consuming liquor and ganja. He was associated with an auto lifter namely Akram and started stealing m/cycles in 2006-07. No. 46, Tyagi Colony, Rajendra Park, Nangloi Delhi Age 65 years moved a complaint at PS Mundka alleging therein that he is a pensioner having Bank Account No. 30350352063 with SBI Mundka Branch. For personal requirement, he was looking for Loan from Bank or any other financial institution. On 06.09.11, he received calls on his phone from numbers 8459747016 and 8459434539. The caller introduced himself as one Rahul Sharma, an agent of HDFC Bank. The caller told him that there was a scheme for pensioners to get personal loan valid up to 09.09.11 and lured him to take the loan. The caller further directed him to provide the latest photographs, statement of passbook, ID Proof (voter I Card and PAN Card) and 5 Blank cross Cheques on the pretext of providing loan to him. The complainant agreed for the same. On the assurance of the cheat, the complainant gave him the copies of relevant documents, photographs etc on 08.09.11 when the caller visited his house. On 10.09.11, the complainant visited SBI where he came to know that an amount of Rs. 92,000/- was debited from his account by cheque no. 61999 which was given to the caller by him. He was shocked and moved a complaint at PS Mundka. Case was registered vide FIR No. 172/11 dated 21.09.11 U/S- 420/467/471 IPC PS Mundka and the investigation was taken up by SI Dinesh Kumar under the close supervision of Insp. Ramesh Chander, SHO Mundka. During the course of investigation, a number of persons were interrogated. The cheat had also switched off his mobile phones and there was no other contact available. During enquiry at Bank, it was revealed that the cheat had also made forged signatures of the wife of complainant at the cheque as the account was a joint account. To solve the case, a team was constituted including IO/SI Dinesh Kumar and HC Rajender No. 1253/W. The CDRs of the given numbers in the FIR and other details were analysed by SI Gulshan Nagpal. During investigation, it also revealed that the offender had given a photocopy of his PAN Card AQTPR8677D at the time of encashment of Cheque. However the cheat was not available at the address mentioned for PAN Card application given at Income Tax office. All, when the case was going without any clue, the above said team was again directed to make sincere efforts afresh. Their efforts resulted in positive outcome when the hideout of accused was found at Nand Nagri and he was apprehended accordingly. INTERROGATION AND INVESTIGATION – The accused was thoroughly interrogated who told that he had worked with one Hukam Chand in a DSA for HDFC Bank. Although he was not highly educated, but he had a sharp mind and he was well aware about the Banking procedure. He told that he used to make a number of calls to different numbers randomly. When he called the complainant, he came to know that he was a suitable prey. The complainant is an old man of age 65 years and retired from Ministry of Labor Department. He relied upon the cheat easily. He not only handed over the relevant documents, photographs to him but also five cheques including the cheque no. 61999 which was en-cashed by the accused. ORDER Whereas a large number of complaints are being received that people purchasing liquor from liquor vends often start consuming the same in front of the liquor vend itself or at other public places. Vendors selling eatables and juices, at times, also station themselves unauthorizedly outside liquor vends which further facilitates this undesirable activity. Sometimes, “Baratis” of marriage processions also openly drink liquor etc. on the roads while the Barats are moving. Drinking in public is a nuisance with a serious potential to result in brawls and quarrels causing serious injuries/death and damage to public and private property. This affects the peace and tranquillity of the area and creates problems in maintaining law and order. INCIDENT:On 4/7/12 a PCR call was received regarding cheating by two police persons. During the interrogation it was revealed that Mangal and his associates cheat the innocent persons by impersonating themselves as the police persons. Mangal used to wear the dress and titles of Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police and his associate Manoj impersonate himself as Constable. About 15 days ago, Mangal @ Sanjay and his associate Manoj came at Rana Partap Bagh in search of prey and met with one Mohan Singh the Dhaba owner and stated that their Boss has been transferred and want to sell his four gas cylinders. On believing and respecting the uniform, the deal was done for two cylinders for Rs. 4,000/- and Mohan was at BBM Depot Mukherjee Nagar with rickshaw. When Mohan came as per the deal they took Rs. 4,000/- from him and told him to wait there but they run away in the street by cheating him. In the meantime another man came there namely Sushil Kumar an innocent delivery boy of Indane Gas Agency and claimed that he has also been cheated of Rs. 6,000/- by them through in the same modus operandi. They also disclosed that these culprits have committed many incidents of impersonation as police officer. One more modus operandi they disclosed is that these culprits target the old ladies. Moving lonely with gold ornaments. They use to threaten the lady by saying that crime is increasing and you are freely roaming with so much gold and use to pressurise the lady to keep the jewellery in her bag and in the mean time another boy enters the scene as per plan wearing gold chain etc. These people stop him and slap saying that don't you have fear of the criminals and pressurise the boy to keep his gold chain in his pocket. All this drama is played in front of the innocent lady, who easily get trapped in such play. When this process of cheating is done, these culprits shrewdly exchange the gold ornaments with stone wrapped in a newspaper. INVESTIGATION:On 18.07.12, SI Vinod Kumar received an information from secret informer about two persons impersonating themselves as Sub-Inspector and Constable of Delhi Police and involved in Case FIR No 235/12 U/s 419/420/34 IPC are about to come to see the movie at Batra Cinema on M/cycle No. DL5S-AD-3591 Hero Honda Passion, if a raid is conducted they can be apprehended. The information was brought to the notice of SHO Mukherjee Nagar. On the directions and supervision of SHO/Mukherjee Nagar a raiding party was constituted comprising of SI Vinod, PSI Sushil Kumar, PSI Pawan Kumar, HC Jagbir Singh, Ct. Amar Nath and Ct. Sikandar. Abid said that today there is a party at his house and he is not gambling today. On this, they took out their fire arms. A hot exchange of words took place between them during which Mohd. No. 489, Suriya Vihar, Shehat Pur, Faridabad, Haryana (3) Abdul Gaffar @ Pintu (aged 32 years) s/o Izrarul Ansari r/o Ajay Colony, Suriya Vihar, Part-III, Faridabad, Haryana, South-East district police have busted a gang, involved in extortion activities. Details of the case: On 27.06.12, one Shri Narsingh Shah S/o Late Sh. Hans Raj Shah r/o H. No. C-47, Gali No. 5, Hari Nagar Extn., New Delhi lodged a complaint with Police Station Jaitpur to the effect that on 26.06.12, he had received a threatening call on his mobile from a number 9795084998, “Why you are not responding to the messages sent through SMS regarding the cost of your life which is Ten lacs and the money has already been received by him as a Supari to kill you”. The complainant is a respectable person of the area as well as the husband of local MCD Counselor of the area. Hence, the case was registered and investigation was taken upon top priority. Investigation Shri Surender Singh, SHO/Jaitpur, constituted a team comprising of Inspr. Harender, Inspr. Investigation, SI Jitender Malik, HC Harender, No. 1862/SE, HC Isha Khan, No. 688/SE, HC Matloob Ali, No. 712/SE, Ct Sudhir, Ct. Pramod, Ct. Arvind, Ct. Balram, Ct. Vikas, Ct. Manish. The strenuous efforts of the team bore fruits on 17.07.12 when Abdul Gaffar along with Akhtar Ali were nabbed red handed while trying to extort money from the complainant. The mobile phone used along with SIM Card and extorted money were recovered at the spot. The personal mobile phones of Abdul Gaffar and Akhtar Ali which they were carrying to contact their master mind one Allauddin Ansari @ Master Ji were also recovered of from their possession. The motorcycle used by the accused was also recovered. The interrogation of the accused Abdul Gaffar @ Pintu and Akhtar Ali revealed that one more person namely Allauddin Ansari @ Master Ji R/o B-392/5, Khadda Colony, Jaitpur Extn. Part-II, Delhi is their gang leader. The master mind arrested in the said case along with one country made pistol and 5 live cartridges have been recovered from him. Modus Operandi The modus operandi of the gang was to call the socially affluent persons and threat them to their life to extort money. PRESS RELEASE SOUTH EAST DISTT. DELHI POLICE Dated 19/07/2011 On the initiative of Shri Neeraj Kumar, worthy Commissioner of Police, Delhi a Jan Sampark Sabha of Sub-Division Lajpat Nagar of South East District was organized under the chairmanship of Shri P. Kamraj, Joint Commissioner of Police, South Eastern Range and assisted by Shri Ajay Chaudhry, Addl. CP, South East District. All officer and rank of South East District were present Residents from police stations of Sub-division of Lajpat Nagar i.e. PS Lajpat Nagar, PS Amar Colony and PS Greater Kailash participated in the Jan Samparak Sabha The objective behind such Jan Sampark Sabha is to bridge the gap of communication between officials of Delhi Police and public at large. This move will not only enable Delhi Police to understand the grievances as faced by general public on daily basis but will also help them to understand the public perception about the police functioning, crime situation of the area and above all receive suggestions from public to further strengthen the system of community policing. Participants expressed their grievances which for the purpose of brevity can be summarized as traffic related issues, encroachment issues and issues related to crime prevention for example effective patrolling and verification of tenant, servants and kabariwalas. On calling for an opinion vote about whether sirens should be used on patrolling vehicles (Motorcycles, ERVs and QRTs) during night time, it was found that 90 percent of the residents supported the idea. They asserted that this move will instill confidence in minds of the residents and fear in minds of rogue and criminal elements. The suggestion of verification of all Kabariwalas was appreciated by all participants as they are believed to be receivers of stolen property. Jt. CP South Eastern Range and Addl. CP South East District also addressed the Jan Sampark Sabha and emphasized the need of the meeting with public is to engage the community in our crime prevention activities and to do away with the perception of the public that their complaints are not looked into by the local police. The idea of this Jan Sampark Sabha is also that instead of public reaching to us it will be better that we reach in their areas to resolve problems and complaints. Outer District Dated:19.07.2012 VOLLEY BALL MATCHES ORGANIZED BY OUTER DISTRICT POLICE AT PHOOL WALA PARK, SULTAN PURI AND SPORTS GROUND, SEC-12, ROHINI, DELHI ON 17.07.12.TO INVOLVE YOUTHS IN SOCIAL ACTIVITIES PS: - Sultan Puri On 17.07.2012 Volleyball tournament was organized by Police Station Sultanpuri at Phool Wala Park, near Jalebi Chowk, Sultanpuri, Delhi to improve police- public relation as well as to create awareness against drug addiction to bring such people back to the mainstream. The volleyball tournament was organized as part of the initiative “ YUVA” launched by worthy C.P., Delhi. During tournament three matches were played between the local youths of A-1 Block, Sultanpuri, C-2 Block Sultanpuri and F-Block Sultanpuri, Delhi. The final match was played between the teams of police station Sultanpuri and winning team of locals namely Alwyn Club, A-1, Sultanpuri, Delhi. The match was won by Alwyn Club. After Volleyball match another activity TUG OF WAR was also organized between Alwyn Club and team of police station Sultanpuri, Delhi. Trophies and Medals were presented to the winning and runners-up team by DCP/Outer District, Delhi and further a get together was held in the premises of police station. PS- Prashant Vihar Shaheed Head Constable Om Prakash Memorial tournament was organized at sports ground, Sec-12, Rohini, Delhi. Vill- Rajapur, PS- Prashant Vihar and Vill- Naharpur, PS- North Rohini have been identified, where school drop outs and unemployed youngsters were observed wasting their energies in non- constructive activities, as they were seen roaming in the area purposelessly especially in evening hours. These youngsters were contacted on regular basis to employ themselves in social welfare activities and persuaded to be in touch with local Police so that their energy may be utilized in a better way. In order to promote and groom their persona viz-a-viz in the memory of Shaheed Head Constable Omprakash (who lost is life in an encounter at Alwar, Rajasthan on 12.06.1996 with notorious criminals Chander Mohan Pandit) a Volley ball tournament was organized on 17.07.2012 at Sports Ground, Sec-12, Rohini, Delhi. Shri B.S. Jaiswal DCP/OD and, Shri M.A. Rizvi and Shri A.K. Lall Addll. DCsP Outer District also witnessed the tournament. The family members of late Head Constable Omprakash were invited to witness the match. Four teams participated in the tournament and the final match was played between team of Vill-Naharpur, and team of PS- Prashant Vihar, which was won by team Vill- Naharpur by 2-1. On conclusion of tournament an appreciation note was read over about Shaheed Head Constable Omprakash. Thereafter a tea session was held.
