In order for this plan to work there are production and workmanship standards
that must be met and maintained. In addition and most importantly, the very
foundation of this plan is based on 2 critical elements:
1. Absolute and uncompromising HONESTY and INTEGRITY in dealing
with our customers. This is, and must be, a ZERO TOLERANCE policy.
2. The tech must provide a Total Quality Experience for the customer.
Shaffer's goal on each and every service call is to EXCEED THE
CUSTOMER'S EXPECTATIONS WITH A PROMISE OF 100%
SATISFACTION.
Site Visit - $59.50
After Hours Service Charge - $149.50
Performance based pay will be based on
 $30 per book time hour
 $30 per showroom hours bid
 $10 per education hour
 $10 per office hour
o Board meeting
o Answering phones
 $5.50 per shop time hour with approval
 $15 per day for truck maintenance
o There will be a required list of items to be on each truck
 $25 per STP time
o Only get if site visit is collected or sale is made
o Do not get if the sale is an add-on
 $35 per STP time after hours
o After 5pm weekdays
o Saturdays and Sundays
 $30 per inspection
 $20 per warranty call book time
 $0 per call back (their own)
 TCY per call back (for other tech)










Call Back Savings Account
o Each week each tech will earn 1 call back hour
o If they go out on their own call back a minimum of 1 hr is deducted
from their savings account
o If they go out on another techs call back
 Owner of call back gets minus 1 hr (minimum)
 Doer of call back gets plus 1 hr (minimum)
o End of business year call back savings account will be converted to
a Thanks For Not Having Very Many Call Backs bonus
$0 per customer no shows
If the first tech is stumped and requires assistance from second tech, the
second tech will become the primary tech on the call and receives the $30
per book time hour and the second tech get $10 per education hour
If second tech is needed to help on a job he will be paid for his time that
is billed to the customer at $30 per book time hour
$45 per after hours call
o Only if the after hours service charge is collected for both USA
member ($90) and Non-USA member ($149.50)
 USA member after hour hours
 Monday thru Friday 9pm till 7am
 Saturday and Sunday 7pm till 8am
$75 per week for on call
Vacation/Holiday pay
o $15 per hour for new employees for the first year
o After 1st full year will be based on last years W-2 based on 2080
hours
One tech sells and another does the work
o Seller gets $25 STP
o Seller gets $5 per book time hour
o Worker gets $25 per book time hour
Spiffs
o Bio-clean $10
o Survey coupons $1
o Home Care Clubs $10/$20/$30
o TCY $12.50
o 10yr warranty upgrade on water heater $25
5% material bonus
o Well pump systems
o Pitless adapters
o Well tanks
o Water heaters
o Garbage disposals
o Faucets – Quality/Designer Models
o Toilets – Quality/Premier/Designer Models
o Water softeners
o Water filters
Minimum weekly pay for service tech will be $385.00
 Based on $5.50 per hour
 40hrs - $220.00
 20hrs OT - $165.00
