Single Note Scales
Regular: One pair Major and parallel harmonic minor scales in Russian pattern without interruption, from
any key.
Bonus A (6 pts): Russian Pattern, 3 pairs major and parallel harmonic minor scales, starting from C, with
transitions, without interruption.
Bonus B (12 points): 6 pairs major and relative harmonic minor scales in Russian Pattern, starting from
any key.
Broken chords
Regular: 4 octaves, M/m chords from any note. Also, 2 octaves, first six chords of the 11-chord Russian
Harmonic Pattern without interruption, from any 4 white keys.
Bonus A (3 points): 4 octaves of the first 6 chords of the RHP, from any 4 white keys without
interruption.
Bonus B (6 points): Same as Bonus A, but from any white key
Bonus C (12 points): 4 octaves of all 11 chords of the RHP, from any 4 notes without interruption. Play
7th chords in groups of 5. When this has been mastered, do groups of 4.
Chromatic Scale
Regular: 4 octaves, parallel motion in thirds, tenths, & sixths starting from any note. Play in octaves in
Russian Pattern from any white note.
Bonus A (12 points): Russian pattern in octaves starting from any note.
Block Chords
Regular: 2 octaves M/m chords starting from any note. Also, 2 octaves, first six chords of the RHP, from
any four keys.
Bonus A (9 points): 2 octaves, first six chords of the RHP from any key.
Bonus B (12 points): All 11 chords of the RHP from any white key without interruption.
Russian Broken Chords
Regular: 4 octaves M/m from all keys. Also, 2 octaves, first six chords of the RHP, from any four notes
Bonus A (6 points): 2 octaves, first six chords of the RHP, from any white note without interruption.
Bonus B (9 points): Same as Bonus A, from any note.

Arpeggios

Scales in Double Thirds
Regular: 2 octaves HS, one pair of major and parallel harmonic minor, from any white note. Also, 1
octave HT.
Bonus A (12 points): 2 octaves HT, one pair of major and parallel harmonic minor starting from any
white note.
Bonus B (24 points): Same as Bonus A, but 4 octaves.
Minor Double Thirds Chromatic Scales
Regular: 1 octave HS, starting from Eb/C (Eb on top, C on the bottom)
