Working with the Northeast Chapter and different committees and taskforces of CALA in the past years has offered me opportunities to learn more about this great organization and its wonderful members. Through these experiences I have learned how to work collaboratively with others to achieve the mission and goals of the organization. 1 CALA has entered an exciting period in its history with significant initiatives and accomplishments established and achieved lately. We also face challenges during a global economic crisis. I understand the critical importance of the CALA Treasurer and its important role on the CALA Executive Committee. If elected, I will bring my enthusiasm, energy, and skills to the position. I will ensure that CALA is fiscally conservative. I will maintain accurate financial records, efficiently budget and manage our resources to yield the maximum benefit to our members and to support the operations, the programs, and the services of the organization. 2
