Student Assignments, Lectures, and/or Course Materials : Student learning will be facilitated by an instructor. This is different from standing in front of the student lecturing. Assignments are delivered using Angel in the assignments tab as well as a corresponding training and grading site, SAM2010.com. All assignment and exams must be completed and submitted by 11:55 p.m. on their due dates. See due dates below. This is only a snap shot of the course schedule. Students MUST see Module 1 > Course Schedule for a comprehensive detail list of assignments to be completed .

Required Format for Submitting Assignments : All assignments MUST be completed using Microsoft Windows 7 and

Microsoft Office 2010 and require a consistently reliable Internet Access with the most current version of Flash. Office

2010 is provided on all school computers and in the SCTC libraries if you need them. You are solely responsible for all aspects of your computer hardware and software. Deadlines will not be waived and assignments will not be reset in SAM if your home computer does not cooperate.

Grading Expectations and Deductions :

Assignments/Projects – All assignments will be driven by and submitted for grading through SAM. Proofreading and spell checking must be completed prior to submitting work for grading. SAM does take off for spelling and grammar errors! See the “Late Assignment Policy” below. Get ahead! Work ahead!

Exams - All exams are administered using SAM. If you fail to take a test during the scheduled time frame availability, you will receive a grade of zero (0). See the Late Assignment Policy below for my very specific and very nonnegotiable “Late

Assignment Poli cy”.

Late Assignment Policy:

Due dates (deadline dates) for all assignments are posted throughout your course resources. They can be found in Angel in the Assignments area, in the Course Schedule located in Module 1 of Angel, in the Angel calendar, and on the next page. It is the student’s sole responsibility to know and follow these deadline dates!

Due dates have been established for every assignment and they are non-negotiable. a) To receive full credit, all work is due on or before 11:55 pm Eastern on the deadline date published. b) Work turned in up to 1 week late will be reduced by 10 points c) Work turned in more than 1 week after that deadline will not be accepted and a non-removable score of zero (0) will be posted for that work.

Revision Date: December 28, 2012

It is important here to note that problems with your home computer, your personal schedule, family issues, financial issues, or the fact that you do not have SAM will NOT shift the deadline dates for assignments. Don’t wait until the last minute to do your work! Allow time for the unpredictable problem and the unanticipated delay!
