CAMPAIGN COMMITTEE KIT Winter 2014 Greetings, According to Article 11 of the Student’s Society of McGill University (SSMU) By-law 1-1, YES or NO committees for a specific referendum question may be formed either through a motion of Council or by completing the following kit. Signers should clearly indicate their name, faculty and year, and student number, in addition to their signature. (*Note: you might want to include extra signatures to ensure all of the required ones are valid). 3. This information will be uploaded onto the Elections SSMU website and Online Voting System. If you would like your pensketch to appear in French, it is your responsibility to have it translated. The deadline is the same for the French version of your pensketch. Elections SSMU highly suggests that you do this, because if you only submit an English pensketch it will not appear on the ballot when students choose to vote in French. A few guidelines on the pensketch: Word limit: 150 words for English and 170 words for French (EXCESS WORDS WILL BE CUT) Don’t include the campaign material (e.g. Facebook group, Twitter, etc.) in the pensketch itself – the elections website will be included on the ballot, and your links will be on the page DUE: March 8th 2014 University Centre - 3480 McTavish Street, Suite 405 - Montreal QC, H3A 1X9 E-mail: elections@ssmu.mcgill.ca www.electionsmcgill.ca
