Server 2003 in a Proactive Change Management Environment following
strictly ITIL Processes.
Complete handling of the AD & Exchange 2003/2007 and
Sharepoint environment in a proactive monitoring environment with HP
Openview monitoring of the servers. Cluster servers of Exchange
running on Dell and HP.
Did a complete piloting of Exchange 2007 and as of now already
moved to production on CCR Cluster for Exchange with 10 Terabyte of
SAN storage available. Working stable from the last 2 years on this
structure. Upgrades completed for other locations like Riyadh and
Dammam
Planned and is in the process of implementing Disaster recovery
site in another location with Exchange 2007 SCR replication. This is
planned and implemented in co-ordination with Microsoft Support
services with the Complete Cluster movement to the DR site consisting
of 28 Exchange databases and back to production site.
Data replication is done on a gigabit link to the DR site with
Exchange CMDLETS and was successful without any data loss during
the process initiated.
Except Windows cluster servers most of the Windows
servers are running on VMWare Virtual environment.
The local SharePoint portal running on SharePoint 2003 for
NCB employees is completely handled by us in production and also the
the website www.alahli.com is up and running on Sharepoint Portal
MOSS 2007 is also under our responsibility. It is completely on a
VMware virtual environment.
Backup’s of the sharepoint portal environment and also the
other application servers are scheduled using cmd scripts and
using ControlM scheduling software and backed up using HP
DataProtector on Tapes.
Disaster recovery for the above setup has also been
implemented successfully on the DR site and regular testing is done to
move the complete portal site to the DR and back to Production site
successfully. This ensures high availability and data redundancy with
minimal downtime during move process.
As a routine maintenance and updates to the website
www.alahli.com this is done by implementing the authoring area and
Publishing area. The developers upload the data on the Internal
Authoring website and the same is scheduled in MOSS 2007
administration to be published to the Internet exposed web servers. This
is all done under MOSS 2007 Farm.
Updating all production servers with HPOpenview agents to have
pro-active alerts via e-mail and SMS so that downtime is avoided and
systems are running optimally adhering to the SLA agreements.
Complex and accurate implementation of Group policies in a
corporate banking environment of 6,000 users
Security templates for windows server hardening is implemented
on web servers and other application servers as required.
Under Microsoft’s recommendation we have gone through Active
Directory Risk Assessment Program (ADRAP) from Microsoft Consulting
services and ran the required tools to get the result, Implemented the
recommendations successfully
