AP Statistics Spring 2014 Syllabus Grade Breakdown: 50% Unit Tests & Quizzes There will be several types of assessments (listed below). One major test. 200 points Chapters 19 – 27 Four smaller tests. 100 points each Ch. 16, 17 & 18; Ch. 19, 20 & 22; Ch. 23, 24 & 25; and Ch. 21, 26 & 27 Three major team tests using AP Test Questions. 50 points each Chapters 14 – 18, Chapters 19 – 25 and Chapters 21, 26 & 27 Six Individual Quizzes. 25 points each. Ch. 16, Ch. 17, Ch. 18, Ch. 19, Ch. 26 and Ch. 27 Two Team Quizzes. 25 points each Ch. 19, 20 & 22 and Ch. 23 – 25 If you have an excused absence for a test or quiz, plan on making it up during the next class period or within 2 days of your return – your choice. If you do not make it up within 2 days of your return, it will become a 0. 15% Final Exam There will be a 2 day final exam for all students. This will be in preparation for the AP Test so it will be tentatively May 1st and 5th. 10% Inference Portfolio This will be an inference reference for you that you will be building as we learn inference. It will tentatively be due on April 17, 2014. The due date could change slightly depending on schedule changes for the STAR test. 15% Practice You will have homework daily. Homework will be accepted 1 class period late for half credit. If your work is late because you needed help, you need to get the help before the next class period and your work will be accepted for full credit. If your homework does not show the complete process for inference as shown in class, you will receive at most half credit. Work from after the AP test will go in this category as well. 10% AP Test Preparation These will be practice AP tests and other reviews that we do to review. Some will be graded on completion; some will be assessed. These will be due on the next class, without exception. If you do not turn them in on time, you will receive no credit. AP Test: Friday, May 9, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. A+: All A+ will be used unless indicated on the assignment schedule. You will not be allowed to leave to go to another class. Plan ahead.
