INCIDENT:On 22.4.2012, a PCR call vide DD No. 58B at 9.30 pm was received at P.S. Mahendra
Park that a woman has been stabbed at J- 422, Jahangir Puri. Another call was also
received at 9.40 PM about the same incident. The SHO, Mahendra Park along with
staff reached the spot and found Sh. Satya Parkash S/o Sh. Mansha Ram R/o J- 420421 Jahangir Puri present. He stated that at about 9.00 PM when he was present
alongwith his family members, he heard a voice from upstairs that the tenants were
crying. On this, his mother Santra Devi and Sister Jyoti (both deceased) rushed towards
upstairs. He also followed them. He found that the JCL was having a scissosr in his
hand and was repeatedly stabbing Vineeta who was crying and the blood was oozing
out. His mother and sister were trying to save Vineeta and to overpower the JCL but
the JCL also stabbed scissors in their abdomen. The JCL tried to run away but the
complainant chased him. In between, the JCL also pushed Laxmi, another tenant on the
first floor. On hearing the crying, the main entrance was blocked by the people in the
street and the JCL could not run away and he entered into a toilet on the second floor.
The complainant closed the door of the toilet from outside and informed PCR from his
mobile phone.
INVESTIGATION:
During the course of investigation, the JCL was apprehended from the
spot (toilet of 2nd floor). The Juvenile Welfare Officer (JWO) was called at the spot and
enquiry was made from the JCL by the JWO which revealed that the deceased Vineeta
was his so called “Mami” as his mother used to treat Pawan (husband of Vineeta) her
brother.
The JCL worked in a Hosiery Factory at Jahangirpuri, Delhi. His mother
also worked in the same hosiery factory some time ago but now she is working
independently in Village-Bhalaswa. She used to collect the wages/salary of the JCL i.e.
her son from the factory owner.
Approximately a month ago, the JCL received Rs. 50/- from his work
place and spent it on himself. When she visited the factory, she was told that her son
had received Rs. 50/- out of his salary but it was not told by the JCL to his mother.
When the mother confronted him, the JCL returned Rs. 50/- to his mother by
borrowing the same from Vineeta, but he did not inform his mother that he had
borrowed Rs.50/- from Vineeta. Lateron, this fact came to the knowledge of the mother
of the JCL through deceased Vineeta. At this point of time, the JCL was beaten
mercilessly by his mother for taking money from Vineeta. The JCL felt humiliated and
nursed a grudge against Vineeta and thought of taking revenge of his humiliation. The
residence of the deceased and the JCL are nearby only across three streets.
The JCL used to visit Vineeta’s house frequently and he was familiar
with the land lady (Santra, the deceased) also. During the month, the JCL made 5/6
attempts to catch Vineeta alone in her room but every time she was found sitting with
the land lady. Last time, the JCL watched that Vineeta could be available in her room
about 9 PM as her husband used to come after 10 PM only. Last night, he made up his
mind to take his revenge by stabbing Vineeta. He took out one part of the scissors from
his work place and went straight to the 3rd floor room of Vineeta where he found her
alone. He repeatedly stabbed Vineeta in her abdomen and neck and she cried bitterly.
On hearing this, the land lady Santra along with her daughter Jyoti rushed towards
upstairs to help Vineeta. Satya Prakash, also followed them. The mother and the
daughter tried to overpower the JCL but the JCL also stabbed them in their abdomens.
Satya Prakash chased him and the JCL locked himself in a bath room in 2 nd floor. The
door of the bath room was bolted by Satya Prakash from outside and informed PCR.
On reaching the spot, the JCL was apprehended from the spot i.e. bath room of 2 nd

The case was totally blind and it was a challenge to the local police to trace out the criminals
involved in the crime. The team established strong police intelligence to find out some clue. During the
course of investigation, several teams were formed and were assigned the jobs from different angles.
Several raids were conducted at various places & several persons were interrogated continuously. From
the analysis of crime & entire sequence thereof, prima facie there was strong suspicion that this crime
could have been committed by some known person. For the same, several boys in the neighborhood
with dubious character i.e. ruffians, smack addicts were picked up and interrogated.
Even, close relatives of the complainant were also put under scanner. With painstaking and
relentless efforts, various pieces of evidence, testimony and information were linked to solve the
intrigue puzzle of case. The background of the complainant was thoroughly analyzed to learn about his

various pieces of puzzle.
During course of investigation, the complainant informed that her elder son Ashish got married

to resolve the matter, but they had refused to keep her in their house. She further raised suspicion over
Anamika @ Dolly in the incident of robbery. Further the fact of writing of name of Ashish on the
parcel also indicated that this crime could have been committed by some known person.
Hence Anamika @ Dolly was interrogated at length. Initially Anamika concealed the facts but
later on, she broke down and confessed her involvement in the conspiracy of the incident. She was
arrested and on his instance, two other accomplices were also arrested. On their instance, entire robbed

estranged her from their house. Since then, she was residing with her parents. After that, several times,
she and her parents made efforts to resolve the matter, but her husband and in-laws did not agree. Due
to residing separately, she faced financial problems. Her jewellary, which was given to her in her
marriage, was also with her-in-laws. On the previous day of incident, she along with her parents again
went to her matrimonial house to resolve the matter and requested to keep her in their house, but her
husband and in-laws refused to keep her in their house. Meanwhile, she befriended with one Avnish,
who is residing nearby her locality & was earlier tenant of her auntie. She stated Avnish that she is
need of money and her jewellary is still kept in her matrimonial house. If he robs the jewellary from
there, he can get more jewellary and cash of her-in-laws. Avnish told the plan to his shop-owner
namely Shubham, who agreed to do this work to have quick bucks. Thereafter, Shubham approached
his two friends. As per plan, initially Avnish did recee of house of the complainant and on the day of
