In science, the suffix “-ology” means “the study of”. Below, a few of these fields or branches of science are
listed. Keep in mind that there are many, many, many more! A person who studies and works in a particular
field or branch has the suffix “-ologist” which means “a person who studies”. Match the following ologies to

2. Complete the drawing of the scientist or “-ologist” who studies that field of science by drawing the
scientist as the science! For example, if you choose the ornithologist, complete the drawing of the
scientist with a bird’s head/face and his hands are wings! See examples!
3. Be creative! Use map colors, construction paper, crayons, feathers, beads, etc. NO MARKERS!!!!!!
4. Create a background around your scientist that relates to the branch of science.
5. Write the branch of science AT THE TOP OR THE BOTTOM OF your picture!
6. No computer generated pictures. No magazine, photo, or internet creations/pictures. Picture is handdrawn only.
7. This is a LAB GRADE!! Consider this a mini project!!
