GSB’s services have progressed in time with the needs of the economy and
our customers. We became the first and only issuer in Franklin and
Hampshire counties to offer the protection of Savings Bank Life Insurance
on the heels of The Great Depression. Our Trust Department was opened in
1992, becoming the only locally-run community bank wealth management
group in the region. Investment opportunities for customers broadened
even further when Infinex Financial Group became our partner. This was
the perfect foundation when our Amherst office, focused on relationship
banking and personalized financial services, brought GSB to Hampshire
County in 2002. Now located in Northampton as well, we can serve
customers on both sides of the river.
